I have a Bravia KDL-32EX650, which is connected to my cable modem; I can connect to the internet without any problem, however my Mac running OS Mountain Lion, which is on the same local network does not appear as 'Available' on the TV; Connection Wizard shows a Mac address, but does not connect. My goal is to be able to show pictures on the Mac on the TV screen.
I have watched the video on 'how to' but must be missing something somewhere. Do not have these problems when I was a kid. I turn 80 in a few weeks so someone help please, in a hurry!

Try the following procedure to configure Setup of DLNA in the Mac computer using the Serviio software.
- Computer and TV must be connected to the same network to perform this procedure.
- If you use the third-party firewall or security software, you may need to configure it to allow access to the network for Serviio software.
- The Serviio software is available on the site.
- Click the System Preferences icon in the Dock.
- In the System Preferences window select another, and then click Serviio.
- Then select devices, make sure that the device appears as active DLNA and has an IP address
NOTE: If the DLNA device is not visible or does not have an IP address, verify that you have configured and connected correctly according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Difficulties to download Captivate trial 6 for mac.
Im trying to download the demo version of captivate on my mac, the akamai netsession interface is now on my desk, I go through the Setup, it does this happy noise and indicates that the installation was successful, but nothing to really happens, no new records or documents or applications, appears as a sort of dead-end.

- Then login with your Adobe ID and password (if necessary).
- Then copy and paste the below mentioned URL in the same window, as shown below:

- Then press enter on the keyboard and save the file mentioned above, one by one in the folder created on the desktop.
- Then click on the DMG file to extract and install 6 Captivate.

MS Office 2011 is still supported by Microsoft.
I works fine on my MacBook Pro mid-2012 13 "run macOS Sierra.
I upgraded to El Capitan, and it did not affect MS Office 2011.
All you have to do is to install the updates for MS Office 2011.
If MS Office breaks all what you need to do is reinstall Office 2011 but it will work with macOS Sierra.

We can establish a common partition for Mac OS and Windows Boot Camp
I'm new to Mac, so please excuse my ignorance.
I have a MacBookPro 11 mid-2015 with 512 GB SSD and 16 GB of RAM.
I have Mac OS X El Capitan and that you have installed 10 Windows using the Boot Camp utility on a 150 GB partition. I wanted a common partition on exFAT which could serve as a repository for my data either of the OS. My intention - 150 GB for Mac OS - 200 GB of data - 150 GB for Windows 10. How can this be achieved?
Earlier, after the Boot Camp, I reduced the Mac OS to 350 GB partition to 150 GB and released 200 GB. Formatting this turned me expensive because it stopped my Windows to start. Repair it was a waste of time and effort. I draw the hard Windows on a Mac is sensitive to changes in the partition.
In addition, is using Virtual Box better than Boot Camp? I don't have as much virtualized environments.

You can connect an external drive of ExFat formatted. The OSX and Windows can read/write on a disk formatted ExFat.
A virtual machine has its advantages, as does a Boot Camp facility. A virtual machine allows the simultaneous OS, any necessary initialization to change operating systems. Data can be shared between operating systems more easily. Computer such as memory resources are shared in a VM for applications environment to run slower.
Installation of Boot Camp allows Windows to run in native mode by using all of the system resources, so apps will go faster. But to change operating systems, a reboot is required. It is more difficult to share data.

Using facial recognition on Photos for Mac (Sierra)

Hi all
I've updated to Sierra this morning and since then my WD My Book for Mac has been slain in the backup of the preparation for about 10 hours. My backup before the upgrade went through without a problem. Is the amount of time the backup takes to be expected with the upgrade or it's just stuck in limbo?

PowerPoint for Mac bar vertical scrolling does not work in the Sierra
I have downloaded Sierra, open a PowerPoint for Mac 2011 version 14.5.4 and immediately noticed that the vertical scroll with my mouse does not work. They're only going to 'up' (for example, slide 14, 13, 12, 11, 10) or will be stuck between 2 blades.
I unplugged and replugged my mouse, turned PPT market twice and rebooted my MacBook. No change.
I know it's early days and these are the pains of growth with the new OS, but I use PPTX constantly.
Any tips are appreciated.
Have the same problem. I don't know that this isn't a mouse problem because it happens when I use the touchpad as well.

Pages for Mac takes 30 seconds to load
I would use the Pages instead of Word for Mac, but when I try to open the Pages it takes at least 30 seconds to get on the screen. I'm not there's something wrong, but don't know what it is or how to fix it.
I could be wrong, but there are 99% chance that there is a problem with iCloud.
I had this problem earlier, the pages being insensitive, taking ages to load documents and others.
ICloud disabling did the trick for me, pages looking for something in the cloud, I presume, and have not found anything.
