language/platform not supported

Hi all

I am trying to download and install Adobe Acrobat Pro XI from an online subscription.

I get an error message that I am on a platform not supported language /, but I respect all requirements. Can someone help me solve this?

I had a trial version of Pro XI downloaded and worked fine before you buy.

Thank you!

Unfortunately the system requirements for Adobe Acrobat Pro XI do not include Windows Vista.

  • Assistant to upgrade of Windows 8 says "Platform" not supported

I have a Lenovo Dual Core E8500 Pentium 4, 3.18 GHz, 8 GB RAM PC, with EAP, NX, and active SSE2.  I have a 2230 ViewSonic display with a resolution of 1680 x 1050 and card Intel Q35 Chipset Graphics integrated with the latest driver (6.14.10.5218).  I'm under Win/XP SP3.  This meets / exceeds the requirements of Windows 8, but whenever I run the upgrade wizard, I get a simple message "platform not taken in charge.  No details or other messages.  What can possibly be the problem, and why can't the wizard to upgrade Microsoft tell me precisely what on the platform is not supported?

If you try to install a 64-bit version of Windows 8, you will need to boot from the DVD, you cannot start the Windows XP installation.

  • Wizard upgrade said platform not supported on the upgrade of windows 8 on xp pro 32 market sp 3

Hi all, it drives me crazy.

A month ago I went to install the upgrade of windows 8 on my current xp pro, at that time, put assistant level said no problem, I downloaded (and paid) the upgrade and then everything went to hell.  I ended up having to clean my original xp install to get the computer back in working order.
Now, I decided to try again with the update (using the same product key, I tried to install with last month) so I went back to my email, write down the product key and click the link to download it again, but this time he wont even let me try.  As soon as the implementation or the Upgrade Wizard works, I immediately the message that "this platform is not supported" and that's what I get.
As I said, I'm running a clean version of Windows XP Pro 32 with SP 3.  Any advice would be most appreciated.  Thank you very much.

I just checked the BIOS settings and the XD card was already activated.

The first time I started the upgrade wizard, which told me that I could indeed be upgraded, then I downloaded the upgrade and installed it.  I had some problems with the download, but nothing that was not easy to fix (I honestly don't remember exactly what the problem was).  Once the installation was apparent complete, I rebooted the computer when you are prompted and I got an error message that the installation has failed and then told me that the computer would come back on my original os.  After a few moments, I received a message that the computer failed to return to the operating system, and the computer restarted and gave me the option to boot windows 8 or windows xp.  I have tried both and neither is feasible.  After trying both, I got a new screen that says my computer need of repair.  I then re installed xp, clean boot from the floppy disk to return back at the beginning and have a computer working again. After all that, I reinstalled all the necessary updates and realized when I tried the original installation, I did turn sp2, but not sp 3 so this time I made sure to get that taken care of first.  And now, well you know where I am now!
    Thank you
    INVI.
  • Platform not supported

I'm still learning to be a good technician here, but I help a customer to upgrade its old Dell Vostro 200-8 Win XP sp3.  I checked all the compatibility and as far as I can tell that everything is good.  We bought Win 8 with the student for her discount and when I try to run the installer I get the message "unsupported platform".  I realize about 5000 people have asked this question, but none of the answers seem to be applicable to me.

The CPU is the order of 64-bit, but it is the x 86 version of XP.  NX, EAP and SSE2 are all supported and enabled.  There is sufficient memory and disk space.  The CPU is 1.87 dual core.  There is no reason I can think that we wouldn't be able to install Win 8.  The Compatibility Wizard will not even tell me what is the problem because it does not either (not platform supported again).  Is there a solution that doesn't involve spending extra money?  My client is a student in nursing care on a tight budget (and a single mother) and she shouldn't spend a bunch of money on an old computer - if she has to do that she may as well buy a new one.

Also, I've updated all the drivers and BIOS.  I checked to make sure that all the upgrades available XP are downloaded.  Direct X has been upgraded.  I am full of ideas.  I hate to have to have his request a refund from Microsoft, but I don't know what else to do.  Any help would be appreciated.

By the way, I am under Win7 Upgrade Advisor just for the heck of it - I would have to download that place if Microsoft would leave people to buy again.

FYI: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade

Although you must do an install "own" (custom) from Win XP to Win 7, Win XP license qualifies for the upgrade of Windows 7 and you CAN install customized using the media update: http://winsupersite.com/article/windows-7/clean-install-windows-7-with-upgrade-media-128512

  • "' Error of speech recognition: voice recognition couldn't start because the language configuration is not supported.

    OP: Windows speech recognition

Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 with Windows 7. I just put in place the Windows speech recognition and finished the installation and the tutorial. I went to use and it says:

    Speech recognition error

Speech recognition could not start because the configuration of the language is not supported.

The recognizer language must match the language of the user interface. Please change the recognizer language in the speech recognition under Advanced options control panel.

I don't know what that means, I tried changing the settings under:

Control Panel > accessibility > speech recognition > speech Advanced Options

    But nothing seems to work.

    Help!

    Hello

Saw this in another forum and it WORKS!

    Hello

I had the same problem. Strangely, I had other symptoms. I use the Turkish keyboard Q primary and English as secondary United States. As my speech recognition broke down, I saw that my office word and outlook mulfunctioned in what concerns the language of the keyboard. I was able to use the Turkish Q keyboard on any application, but when I open outlook or word, changes in the English language.

It happened on xp for... so I turned on the language bar to assign the TR when I am using these applications. But the language bar never himself displayed on the bar of tasks or office. So I get this problem and I saw that you can solve this problem via regedit.

    go to computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

right click on the right and a new "string value" component name value can be by default, the value data must be set to "ctfmon" = "" CTFMON. "." EXE ".

After that I restarted my machine and the language bar came to the taskbar. I went into applications and changing the language to TR. And there was a surprise for me. Speech recognition long gone was back at the top of the screen. (I tried everything that proposed that nothing worked)

I'm not sure but maybe the difference in language between applications caused my problem. Or maybe ctfmon has caused. Try this one.

I hope that this is the case for you and you can fix it too...

  • Speech recognition - recognition language is not language User Interface problem

I want to get Windows 7 speech recognition to work with British English, but I get an error after the training, that the language of the speech recognition is does not match the language of the user interface. I got the thing defined in the locale UK and speech recognition in British English. Several people have suggested:

    • Change regional settings, restart, change back again, reboot. Does not...
    • Turning off the box that says look at my documents. Does not solve.
    • make a Windows 7 reinstall. Can't do like no Windows 7 no install disc came with the PC.

Can someone help me solve this problem? Where is the language of the User Interface set? Would - this something to do with Office 2010?

There is anecdotal evidence that the use of like CCleaner registry cleaners can cause this problem.
