LAPAC 1750

I updated the firmware on the AP and it works very well for me, but when my client installs it is impossible to connect to the network.  Void connected nic cable directly to his laptop and it can connect just fine.  The AP continues to change from green to blue that tells me that something is connect, but may not obtain an ip address.  Any ideas?

It should work if connected via Ethernet to the airport of Apple time capsule.

    Hello

can someone please provide me with information on the radiation of LAPAC 1750 Access Point diagram?

Instead of using trial and error that I would sooner plan the deployment of units based on wireless fingerprint, so I can get appropriate spacing etc.  The information that I found that I can't decide if the unit is best ceiling or wall.  Is the unit of directional radio frequency signals come only from the front, or they go through the back too?  This could have repercussions on the interference seen on the floors above the unit.

    Thank you

    Answer:

No documentation but the ceiling is preferable, given that the dipole is used.

  • LAPAC 1750 PRO - rename associated Clients / Stations

Hi, just a 1750 LAPAC PRO and searched the manual, but I can't find a solution to my 'problem '.

In the @ status and Statistics Web interface / associated Clients, I can see a lot of MAC addresses - is there a way I can rename them to something real, like the iPhone 6, iPad Mini, Macbook Pro, etc.. ? !

Its kind of hard to remember what MAC address belongs to which device ;-)

I don't think you can label these MAC.

I recommend their labelling in the booking section of IP for the DHCP server on your router or network card it is; If it has these characteristics.

  • Dell Inspiron 1750, Windows 7: HL-DT-ST DVD +-RW GT10N not working after critical updates from MS

    I'm having a problem with my Player DVD - HL - DT - ST DVD +-RW GT10N.  I have a Dell Inspiron 1750, Windows 7.

It was working fine, then after 3 critical updates from MS, it stopped reading/writing on the DVD player.  The only way I can access the DVD (read or write) is to restart.  A subsequent loading of different or even the same DVD finished with the issue of not being able to recognize the DVD.

When I click on the properties of the DVD drive in Device Manager, it clocks.  However, after a reboot, the properties has worked well and said that the driver does not work properly.

I got to the period before 1st update was installed and the DVD player worked as before.  However, Ms. downloaded the same (I assume) updated critical shortly after.  Low and behold, the DVD player does not work yet.

The MS CD/DVD patch could not fix.

I also tried UpperFilters/LowerFilters regedit deletions, but it is impossible to find these entries (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982116 > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}).  Thank you Osprey4 for your help continues.

I hope someone can help me.

  • Impossible to get any OS to install PowerEdge 1750 Server

I'm having some trouble with that and it makes me nuts. It's the 1st Rackmount Dell I worked on. Other then that I was working on a tower. But the part that I did not do anything with the SCSI hard drives is.

So maybe someone here can help me. I got a Dell PowerEdge 1750, 2 Maxtor 36 GB SCSI disks in there. The server was using RAID mirror the primary drive before being erased and replaced. So now, the server must be configured with Linux and it does not matter if drivers are reflected in the RAID at all.

So I tried to install Ubuntu server OS and he repeated to me that it cannot find the drivers for the drives. I tried a few drivers here at DELL who have been to Red Hat and it did not work.

Then, I tried a copy of Red Hat Linux 8.0 and had the same problem that Ubuntu has given me.

Then laughing, I tried a copy of Windows XP Home Edition who was sitting by a former Workstation. Same problem, Windows could not find the hard drives. I have download the drivers PERC 4/Di windows server 2000 and 2003 (x 84). Tried loading to see if pilots would allow me to install the OS or not. Never worked.

Finally try, I popped a copy of Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition in and he had the same problem as XP, so I pop the drivers PERC 4/Di and selected the driver for Windows Server 2003 and it has yet to find the hard drives.

    What I am doing wrong?

    NEWS POST:

Integrated server 1.80 Firmware revision management

PowerEdge Expandable RAID Controller BIOS B109 February 18, 2003

    PERC 4/Di Standard FW 4.04

0 logical drives to the host adapter

Or logical drives 0 managed by the BIOS

Broadcom NetXtreme managed by BIOS Boot Agent V7.0.3

I don't know if this noraml or not, I think that it funny that he finds the 0 logical drives, but when you go into the configuration both appear in there.

PERC does not support non - RAID JBOD, so if you want mirrored or not, you must configure the drives in the PERC BIOS (CTRL-M)... or put it turns off and only use the system SCSI controller.

If you want to use as separate readers readers / person, you must configure each disk in a single drive RAID 0.

If you want to disable RAID and used in SCSI mode only, so you need to start on the configuration of the BIOS (F2), embedded devices, and Embedded RAID SCSI value active.

The fact that the POST said 0 logical drives found indicates that the disks are not configured - don't forget, readers must be configured in a sort of table before they can be used by the operating system.  So it must show at least a logical drive before installation can never be successful.

Once the RAID is set up, you will need to worry about drivers.

  • Dell Poweredge 1750 - no boot device

Hi, I am totally new to the servers and have bought a second hand PE1750 off ebay so that I can learn how it works.

The vehicle currently has no operating system on it and the BIOS is always A06.

I downloaded A12 and try updating the bios.

    (1) is it possible to update the BIOS from the BIOS?

    (2) I don't have drive C: and CDROM in boot sequence via the F2 Setup utility.

    (3) no found boot device.

    (4) I have 1 configured logical drive

    (5) there is no option to boot from USB

can anyone help me get this site up and running please?

    Dave

is it possible to update the BIOS from the BIOS?

Not from the "BIOS", per se... but you can start a utility to update update the firmware of the system (including the BIOS).

1750 does not support the boot on USB. You will need to boot from the CD/DVD (or PXE or diskette) for what you intend to do.

You can use SUU (Server Update Utility):

    http://www.Dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=GHC9V&FILEID=2731109500&osCode=WNET&ProductCode=PowerEdge-1750&LanguageCode=en&CategoryID=SM

First start in GDPS (systems management tools and Documentation) which requires:

    http://www.Dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=P8V4X

Or you can use the repository Manager:

    http://www.Dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=X5YK8

OR you can install an operating system and update the firmware of the system of the operating system.

  • Inspiron 1750 lcd cable

I bought a new lcd cable for an inspiron 1750 that does not display on screen, but displays correctly when an external monitor is connected to the vga port. The screen light up (backlights). Now that I installed the new cable, the display on the laptop is not even light to the top more.

My question is, "what is the difference between, or is there a difference between the part # G600T, 0G600T, 50.4CN05.101 and G600T, 0G600T, 50.4CN05.001." My old cable number is the last, and the one I bought is the first. Could it be the problem? Help, please.

The cables are the same - so assuming have not two cables defective (unlikely), it is much more likely, that the motherboard itself is defective, not the cables - assuming that the LCD is working (to check this, hold down the key of D through power until you see in alternation of solid - color screens if you get that far the screen is OK).

  • Problem with old PE 1750

Also has anyone seen a situation where a PowerEdge 1750 refuses to accept a full 8 GB of RAM? I have a system that's been completely upgraded BIOS A12 level (later), and everything else works correctly. He started 2 GB (4 512 k sticks) and I swapped the first Bank for 2 GB sticks to 5 GB. That worked fine, but then swap Bank 2-2x2gb (maxing out from the machine to 8 GB) causes the machine resets itself automatically as soon as he finishes the rotation to the top SCSI drives.

I tried several sets different modules, all registered/ECC and the correct specification, but none works. There seems to be nothing wrong with the Bank 2, as I can put in there 2 GB modules with 512 k in Bank 1 and the system boots. It's just that it fails to 8 GB (Windows 2008 32-bit is installed). I heard from one source the USB built-in to support BIOS no definition could help, but that didn't work.

    Any ideas appreciated.

Hi, I had the same problem and have a solution.

In the bios there is a setting of redundant memory slot.  By default, it is set to disabled.  Setting to enabled the server start properly and do all 4 slots available to the operating system.

I am able to run Windows Server 2008 (x 86) Enterprise with 8 GB of ram.
