  Hello.  I know for my brother, if his Compaq Presario CQ60-210US laptop that is running Vista 32-bit operating system, can be upgraded to a 64-bit version/edition of Windows 7, 8.1/8 or 10?   As stated, the laptop OS is Vista 32 bit, and I think that's Vista Home Premium, but I'm not sure.  It has 4 GB of RAM, which is the maximum for a 32 bit OS.   I realize that you can do an upgrade on the spot of a 32-bit operating system to a 64-bit OS and it will take a clean install, but nobody knows if material of this laptop, BIOS etc supports 64-bit operating systems?

  I have recently upgraded the OS on my laptop PC Compaq Presario CQ60 224NR Vista Service Pack 2 to Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit Service Pack 1.  I updated the drivers before upgrading and checked for the latest drivers after upgrade also.  After the upgrade, the keyboard of the laptop works only partially when I use a web browser.  This includes IE and Firefox.  Above the QWERTY keys do not work correctly.  If I press one of these keys or SHIFT and one of these keys, the last character, symbol, or space I typed before is repeated instead.  Y at - it a fix for this problem?

  Well, I searched for several hours and found a solution, at least for me I am a customer of Comcast and I installed constant guard.  There is a key logger that is included in the package that it causes the problem.  I uninstalled GuardedID and my problem disappeared.  I hope it works for you.

  Need driver for Coprocesser. No luck when I run the update driver automatically. I installed Windows 8 on a machine that had originally Windows Vista preinstalled. Because I chose REFORMATT DISC before the instalation, maybe that's why I lost driver. The troubleshooting tool tells me to install a NVIDIA driver / software. This does not solve the problem.   You replace the startup disk in the BIOS cd. Then boot from the XP CD. And press a button when it tells you. However, he will wipe away Windows 7. So, if you want anything copy everything you want (with the exception of programs), before formatting the hard disk.

  NOTE: XP has no drivers for most of whats on the system (LAN/Sound/player card etc.). So if that is the only computer you have, go to HP site for this laptop search, download drivers and copy them into something. Before you begin. Or you won't get back on the internet...

  Also NOTE: If the disk hard in it is SATA, you will need to disable the AHCI in the BIOS (change it to IDE mode). Or XP will crash before you get to the configuration screen. Unless you download the SATA drivers, unzip / extract and add them when it says press F6 (on a floppy disk).

  The XP CD does not have SATA drivers on it either. If you do not add the SATA drivers during installation, do not change this back to AHCI after installing XP. Or it will crash

  In addition, make sure that you have a XP key. A key to windows 7 will not work
