My G6 laptop freezes when moved. When the battery is jostled when you move and to base it on something again it freezes even when it is plugged.
The name of HP is on the laptop - I spent everything I had at the time, on what, at the time - it's
HPs doings and I am very grateful for your help but HPs name wrong in my house any longer and I'll let my friends know what happened with this laptop. I guess I should have come with an Asian import. I bought this because it's an American company - my mystake.
Sorry to hear the bad experiences your having with the new HP I have expected some resolution about HP for you, but I guess that your next step is to enter the HP support and talk to a Manager or supervisor and get a resolution a bit if you can the stock market that. Otherwise if an is another portable computer W8 wifi even goes down so you might go for W7 that is or is not hp laptop and I hope that your experience will be better this time.

I got a G6 Pavilion - 2263ca with Windows 8. When I open an application on the start screen, the laptop freezes and closed. I ran a system recovery and all the system diagnostics, but nothing has changed and I can't find a hardware problem. I sent it for repair in the workshop, they replaced the HARD drive and reinstalled the OS but nothing changes. Right now, all I can do is reinstall the RAM, but seriously, I don't think it will solve the problem. Please help me :-(
Try the following.
In regards to the manual maintenance on the link below, delete one of your memory modules and then see if the laptop works Ok. If it doesn't, try the same module, but in another location. If it is still working properly, try the other memory module in both slots, to see if any combination will allow the laptop to run without freezing.
The procedure for withdrawal of these modules is detailed from Page 55 of your & Maintenance Guide.

My sony vaio SVE15137CGW (Windows 8) started to freeze when the automatic Maintenance starts (after staying idle for a few minutes). A black clock appears on the task bar, so I know that the service is running. I can market to stop the gel which is a real nuisance.
What could cause this problem and how can I solve this problem? How can I disable the automatic maintenance until I solved the problem? I followed the instructions on the Web page below, but the interview turned on even once after a reboot:
Automatic maintenance facilitates efficiency slowed and allows the activity to execute in a timely and prioritized way. So, the event that is configured to run will begin when the previously described (defined by default at 02:00 every day).
the default configuration from the active automatic maintenance should do no harm at all. However, personal computers are not always lit, and nor are they heavily loaded by processes or data. Therefore, it is recommended to disable the automatic maintenance in personal computers to avoid the processing overhead.
After the automatic maintenance turned off, you can manually optimize your PC by manually initializing the command CHKDSK of disk defragmentation, etc..
You can check the link to find out how to disable the automatic Maintenance using Task Scheduler tasks:
Refer to the suggestion which is marked as an answer:
If you do not find the same performance after you disable the automatic Maintenance, reactivate tasks.

Please let us know if the problem still persists.
Whenever I move my laptop from its position, it freezes. As I kept my phone on my bed and I pick it up and place it on my lap then it crashes / freezes. So every time I have to remove the battery and put it again whenever this happens. Sometimes twice a day. It gets really frustrating whenever you do something important. So what I can make of this is that whenever I move the laptop to a certain speed, it freezes, it means that something inside it moves from its ideal location (doesn't happen when I move it very slowly).
Any cause of definte and the solution?

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook 15 - p077tx and concerns with closing while moving Notepad. I recommend that you only take the laptop to a repair center to find the part that is loose. You can check your warranty here.
Please let me know how it goes.

problem that appeared and now it turns on but the power light comes on it just won't start - sometimes it does and when it's the least of the keys it will freeze im really stuck and don't know wot 2 do
It sounds as if there is a hardware fault with the internal components of your laptop. This can be something simple like a loose connection, or something more complicated.
I suggest remove and replace then any device such as CD - RW, HDD, FDD, battery, etc. of RAM chips. If the problem continues then it will be probably needed to take the laptop to an authorized Service partner.

When I connect to internet, after about 10 seconds the laptop everything freezes. I have to manually turn off because it will not re - start. I haven't added any new program.
· Were there any changes made to the computer prior to this problem?
· What version of Windows are you using?
· Do you use Internet Explorer to access the Internet?
· If Yes, what version of IE are you using?
I suggest you try the steps mentioned below and check if it helps.
Method 1: To resolve this problem, you may need to set your system to the boot.
Click on the below link to learn more about the clean boot:

When I plug a HDMI cable to my laptop, the screen freezes and forms a black box around the screen. The only thing I can see is my screen background image. Cannot do anything, the system is totally frozen. When I disconnect it everything works fine again. What should I do? I use a HP ENVY DV7-7250us with WIN7 (64 bit) installed thanks! B
It sounds as if there is a problem with the TV\Monitor. I see that you have not specified which other inputs has the device. This would help. Call you a monitor. The rest of us use LCD screens. It is only 20 inches by your description. I wouldn't use it if it would not accept a video signal with a resolution higher than 1024 x 768.

HelloI'm running Windows XP, SP3 on a laptop Lenovo Thinkpad 61 T.My computer works fine, except that if I put in mode 'sleep' and then wake it, it freezes. Even the Windows shut down does not work, and I have to restart with the power button. When the computer reboots, it works fine. I did virus scans and even replaced the operating system and installed programs with an image that I made well before this problem started.I could use some advice. Thanks in advance.Dan S
Could be something as simple as a video driver, or a change in the power settings.
Can first update you your video driver to the latest version available?
The go to start > Search > type CMD > right click and run as admin > type powercfg /a

I use the laptop Dell inspiron 15r, with Windows 7 ultimate on it. Whenever I connect to the internet via WiFi, after a while, most of the programs I use freezes, and the internet connection is cut off. The same control panel functions do not occur. Also is not possible the normal closing, and I have to force close down at length by pressing the power button. This situation arises that if I use the WiFi. When I use a LAN cable, no problem. This situation is quite irritating, like many times I have no other choice than to use a wi - fi connection and whenever I use it after a few minutes, I have to restart with force, and the cycle repeats. Please suggest a solution. Thank you.
I tried the thing of diagnosis, but could not get anything out of it. The problem is now solved because I updated the drivers of network on the Dell site, but currently I am confronted with some problems, that I used to.
Thank you much for the help.
In may, I bought a laptop from m6-1205dx WANT, and it is so far worked very well for me. However, last week, she began almost every time that the computer is moved physically freezing - there is no error message, the system just hangs and it is necessary to manually restart using the power button to get an answer out of him. It is definitely a hardware problem - I have the same problem on 64-bit Windows 8 and Ubuntu 64-bit 13.04. The research I did on the Internet indicate that it is probably either a bad connection in the system, a bad hard drive or a crack in the root of the hair in the motherboard. I eliminated the possibility that it is the battery - I took out the battery and ran on the current system and the error still occurred. I ran a diagnostic test fast at startup via the F2 shortcut, and it found no problems with the material, which seems to suggest that it is not a cracked disc tray - this suggests a bad mother or a bad connection. The system is still under warranty, so although I am comfortable working inside the computer, I would rather go browse around inside to see if it's something as simple as a stick of memory let go if it will void the warranty. How can I go on diagnosing this problem?
You can certainly try remove and re-seating the memory modules - see Page 63 on the guide below.
You can also remove and re-connect the HARD drive. As well as disconnecting from the system board, I would also suggest re-allocation of places the HDD adapter - Page 57.
Anything more invasive (ie remove the system board, etc.) would almost certainly result in the cancellation of your warranty, so my best advice if the foregoing is not to fix the problem would be to contact HP and arrange for repair under warranty.
If you live in the United States, contact HP here.
If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

Hello. I have a Dell Latitude E7440. The laptop starts with the office end while its connected to the power adapter. It starts very well in a stack on the desktop and works normally. But the problem occurs when I connect to the AC adapter when the laptop is turned on, it freezes, for example when sound on the desk and I connect to the AC adapter, it freezes and does not respond. When I unplug the AC adapter, it takes over and works normally again. When I connect to the AC adapter again it hangs and when I disconnect, it resumes its normal operation. The third time that I connect to the adapter, it does not freeze. What could be the problem? Any help is appreciated please.
