  Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
  A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
  The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

  There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

  If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

• I am running Windows 7 on a laptop Gateway. I have Norton 360 installed. I have 192 registry errors, screen freezes and the very slow progress. Help?

  I've been running Norton 350 since March 2012.  IE9 on Windows 7 laptop Gateway.  Contacted Norton today 101012 and tech ran a scan of the pc.  He detected no restore points available again my stable pc and 192 errors of registry.  He advised that I must have my PC optimized through them @ nominal fee of only $200.00... can no way I pay that amt of money.

  Everyone knows about this problem?  Any idea on how to fix without spending some of the money?

  Let me just then what said it Mike.  You can restore your computer to factory settings yourself and it cost you nothing.  $200 for these 'services' is ridiculous.

  The password is set in your router. Check with the router manufacturer as most have excellent
  online help to set a password as well as connection to the router. Also check in
  their forums (if any).

  Maybe this can help.

  Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

  Group residential network = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.

  Working network = fundamentally similar to previous methods of sharing that allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.
  
  Public share = network Public (as Internet Café) in order to reduce security risks.

  When you have finished the configuration of the system, it is recommended to restart everything the router and all computers involved.

  If you have authorization and security problems, check the following settings.

  Point to a folder that wants to share do right click and choose Properties.

  Have you tried to use the disk of Windows XP, or Windows Update running default drivers to search for best driver for your sound card?

  Also, I found only 1 driver on your system gateway Web site is located here.

  You need a USB FLASH DRIVE, you can transfer the files from the Recovery Console Windows Vista from any other pc or laptop running Windows Vista, go to the backup and restore on the other computer and click on create a drive recovery system on the file menu.   If you run your finger vertically down the outer edge of the touchpad and then the scroll bar will be activated. If you do not want to use the scroll bar or if you want to reduce the sensitivity of the scroll bar, then you can try to modify the settings of the mouse.
