Laptop HP 2000-2d39WM (EN: I need to know if the battery needs to be replaced.)

Okay, I need on the front straight I can eventually get an answer.  I had a problem in a few months with my battery. Initially, I noticed that he cleared without warning me of a critical battery level (I immediately took it as malware so I did some tests and it came negative.) I watched a lot of videos on the calibration of the battery and tried all the solutions with it. I went into the system diagnostics and ran a test of battery - it came up as being SUCCESSFUL - and ran his 4 hour battery calibration. I even did the calibration of the battery of the HP Wizard and rolled up with various results several times; the first photo was taken about 3 weeks before today, as the next was taken earlier.
A few things to mention, is that he died with the adapter removed about 10-15 minutes later; the laptop works perfectly well with the trendy adaptar. I also tried removing the battery, now the start 20 seconds button and so on (an interesting note with this is he actually went to sleep the first before shutting down completely when having done this). In addition, the battery indicator appears spasmodically spaz out with what it is charged exactly. Earlier, I had done a calibration of the battery and then started the laptop, at 8 minutes, the battery has dropped from 95% to 20% instantly. Then, when the power adapter is plugged in, it went straight to 100%, what has happened several times.

I need to replace this battery?

I think that Betsy would confirm that she is ready for a new battery. What else do you think it would? When you hear hoofbeats think horses, not zebras. By I mean the obvious response is almost always good, and it is certainly possible to way resist it.

    Hello KarenJudyOrdoyne,

Thanks for the return of the response.  I've included the Dell Web site below for the latest drivers, firmware and BIOS updates.  I would like to confirm that you are the first on the updates.

    Dell support:

    http://support.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/KCS/document?docid=427825

If you look in the support section, other users have reported this problem.  In some cases, replace the power supply cable has solved this problem and I show other update to the latest BIOS update and this has changed.

Also, do you have the Dell Diagnostics on your computer?  This is usually installed by the manufacturer, but you can run a test to determine if there is a hardware problem.

    I hope this helps!

My small screen touch Pavilion gives me the error that the main battery isn't good after only little more than a year of use.   I want to watch reminders, etc., but I don't see no model # on the body of the device.

The background comes from the 'trademark' and "HP Protectsmart" and the keyboard area just say 'Pavilion '.

    Hello

You can often view the model number, serial number etc if you hold down the fn key and press ESC.

If this does not work, you can also find this info in the menu of the bios as follows.

    Shut down the laptop.

Click next to the ESC key as soon as you start Notepad to open the Start Menu, then choose f10 to open the Bios Menu.  The information you need will be located in the 1 tab

  • Laptop HP 2000-365DX / rebuilt with Windows 8 / not able to connect to internet

My son has filled our mobile home of all known viruses of human, and so I had to give up everything and reload the operating system.  I reformatted the laptop with my copy of Windows 8 (64-bit) on the computer and now I am unable to connect to wireless internet.

When I go to the list of "other devices" in Device Manager, see the following (with the yellow exclamation points):

    • BCM20702A0
    • Ethernet controller
    • Network controller
    • PCI device

So I guess that the drivers for network cards, etc. are not loaded (for some reason any), but when I try to install the drivers from the HP site, nothing happens.  I can't access the Internet for Windows to automatically update everything.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Hi qkershner, welcome to the Forums of HP. When you reinstalled Windows, you use HP Recovery or have you installed on a different disk from Windows? If you did a cover of HP it would have installed all the drivers automatically. You would also have the opportunity to restore the drivers using this method: use of the Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 8)

If not, the drivers for laptops, would be located here: Drivers of laptop HP 2000-365DX
You will need to download the drivers from another source and bring it to the computer (ie. the thumb drive) to install. When you get your network drivers work, you can try the HP Support Assistant, which hopefully will automatically find the rest of your drivers: HP Support Assistant

If you install the drivers, and you have problems with them grateful, you can delete items in Device Manager by clicking on them and remove them. Then on reboot I hope to be recognized.

  • Wireless will not allow on the laptop HP 2000

Help! I have a laptop HP 2000 and all of a sudden the wireless function does not work. No matter what I do the rest orange button. I don't have Wireless Assistant installed on this computer. I tried to download it from another computer and install to mine, but he stated that the version has not accepted. I only got this computer 6 months. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

You have a few options in my opinion please try these steps can help you solve your problem.

    (1) disconnect the battery & adapter then press on & press and hold the power button for laptop for 30 seconds then switch on and check if the wireless led lights.

    (2) go to Device Manager then uninstall the drivers wireless network card and restart the device and check if the light is on.

    (3) try to do a system restore to the date where unit was working fine.

    (4) Please update the Bios & Wireless driver from the HP website.

    (5) click on start search type Recovery Manager, and then click on it once select Yes on user access control, and then select I need immediate help and then select driver and select request recovery driver wireless and install it and then restart the device.

    (6) If you are comfortable with reinstalling the wireless card that will be on the rear panel of your device you can try this steps as well.

If you still have the same issue then you need to call HP tech support and get the replaced part.

  • He had to save a laptop HP 2000-2B10NR

    Hello

I have a laptop HP 2000 - 2B10NR with a dead hard drive. If I buy a replacement HD from HP, this includes Windows?

Is it possible to somehow recover my Windows license key information, so I can do myself?

Is it possible to download or buy a recovery CDROM to reinstall on a new hard drive purchased elsewhere?

It is better to put $50 for a new disk, CDROM collection in this machine costs more, or should I just sell for parts?

    Thank you

    Alex

    Glad you've got coverage.

It's a little scary, but I guess you need to get rough with her.

Yes, you can install a drive of 7 200 rpm and you can because you will get slightly better performance out of it.

  • Laptop HP 2000: windows 10 keeps restarting

First time here, can be bad so sorry advice. I have a laptop HP 2000 with SP1 and all the installed updates downloaded windows 10 and installed Windows 7. Now, lights up for a few minutes then restarts several times. I reinstalled windows 7 and new updates downloaded windows 10 and installed again, the same thing happens. Not computer smart, so thanks for any help.

Found the solution. Use media creation tool.  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10. Follow the instructions. Download the right software-32-bit or 64-bit. Use the flash drive, it is faster. Be sure to remove or uninstall all unnecessary elements. Basket empty. Disable all the steps needed to start.

Installed at 10 EARN about 2 hours ago, so far, works very well. This is maybe two or three hours to install. Be patient, seems to weigh sometimes but as I said be patient and it will continue. May need to reinstall certain things (printer, another browser, etc.).

    I hope this helps.

  • laptop HP 2000 2202tu: fan runs is not on my computer hp laptop 2000 2202tu...

Hello, my laptop computer fan was good until today morning and I stopped at noon, and everything was ok. But when he walks in the evening, it displays the error message - the system fan does not work and countdown from 15 seconds up to what the laptop gets auto shutdown. After that, I noticed that my fan is not spinning. As troubleshooting, I've updated my bios, do a system restore, uninstall paragon hard disk suite that I have installed the morning thinking it could be the cause of the problem. But of no use. Still the fan does not work. Can any body if you please help me in this regard that my laptop heats up a lot if I run it for 15 minutes. Grace.

    Hi @mkshrma

I understand that your fan is not rotating, and this is a serious matter. Until it is resolved I would recommend that you do not use it, or if it is absolutely necessary, then use a cooling plate or something similar to the air force through it to help dissipate the heat.

See the following document: reduction of heat inside the PC to avoid overheating

In the cleaning process to look for something that can prevent the fan from spinning, debris, dust build up, or if the fan is just dead. You can use Service of 2000 HP and maintenance manual to help with the cleaning process and identify the relevant part number if it needs to be replaced. (see page 81 of 115 in the pdf)

If the fan itself is dead, then you will need get a replacement or use a cooling plate.

  • HP 2000. : drivers required internal hardware for laptop HP 2000.

Maybe someone can help me get a pawn shop 'negotiate' return to a life of service exclusive of Linux.  The previous owner had appearantly attempted to retrograde Notepad of Windows 8 for Windows 7 using a Win7 recovery disc and a picture of another computer. Then of course the whole system, the recovery partition and everything, have been formatted away and replaced by an unauthorized and broken windows installation.  I'm OK on Ubuntu we so for now, but I may want to install a new copy of Windows and cannot find that site support of hardware drivers Web internal on my laptop HP 2000 (number of product C2M42UA) anywhere on the HP.  Before wiping away the unauthorized installation of Win7 I looked at the Device Manager and do not forget to Realtek HD audio and video Intel HD and have found the drivers elsewhere on the web, but cannot be sure that what I'm going to need.  I don't think remind me that with the bad install ethernet adapter was without a driver, for example.

Where to find a list of drivers for that to scavange the web?  Seems to me that if a hard disk failure will leave any HP computer newest in the worst form, since they replaced the recovery disks with a recovery partition on the hard drive, it is intended to restore.  Something I keep in mind in computer future shopping.

Windows 7 driver download page for your model:

Remember, when you buy a new laptop they don't give you recovery discs. This has been true for many years. However, there is a recovery manager that will allow you to make these discs, and if you do this and store it in a safe place, you are still able to recover your system. Windows itself now has backup tools very good including the ability to make an image of complete computer system in its current state (not the factory condition) so there is no real reason that you cannot be completely protected against a hard disk crash.
