Laptop HP 2000: I need to restore my laptop from 2000 to their original factory condition. No part of recovery

My computer has been hacked October 30, 2015. I think it happened when I opened an email upgrade to windows 10. At that time, my computer has been transformed into a server and a network manager took over. While doing so, this person had deleted my recovery partition. Its taken almost a year to understand that due to the fact that I don't know a * beep * thing about computers. So here's my question: How can I get the recovery disk? I can't find anywhere on the HP website.

I understand that because of someone hacking your computer, you need to do a recovery, but they have deleted your recovery manager and you have not created a recovery media. You have checked the HP site but could not find the option to buy the recovery disk. Whether you use Windows 10 previously it will be registered with Microsoft. You can download the tool for creating Windows 10 media to load Windows 10 on a USB key. You can then use to install Windows 10. Tool for creating Windows Media 10 . Once this was accomplished, make all your Windows updates and download and install the HP Support Assistant . Now run the HP Support Assistant to facilitate updates of HP.

  • I think I accidentally restore my computer to its original factory condition and now I can't access my files!

    I have a windows vista

    Please elaborate on what you were doing. If, indeed, you have restored the computer to the State as delivered, your user files and applications that you have installed since it was first set up have been removed. They are not simply inaccessible, they are gone. There are various files and partition recovery tools, you could try; However, the disc was heavily rewritten by the restore process. The chances of success are slim.

  • 2000 laptop 365DX: need to restore but have a restore partition point or recovery.

    Hi guys. I have a laptop HP 2000-365DX with Windows 7 Home Premium.   Its so crowded and I need to restore back to original settings.  I had installed Ubuntu (partitioned) all the time and has been very stupid, because I deleted my partition recovery HP tools.  Now, I searched here on HP.com to order a recovery disc and apparently I can't find one for my specific model.  So what I have done is downloaded a file .iso Windows 7 Home Premium (with a good soul on these forums) and I need to download all the drivers for my laptop as well but HP is having some problems now so I can't download them (which is fine that I'm in no hurry).  So, that's all as far as my knowledge goes.  I have my Win7 disc and hopefully soon have my drivers disk.  What I do not know how, it's clear my computer to start from zero Setup Win7 again then all my drivers.  I read that DBAN (Darik Boot and Nuke) erases your hard drive clean, but that seems very extreme.  Looks like I would use to wipe my drive hard if I had to sell my laptop or to erase the evidence, but if that's my solution I'm cool with that.  So, really, I'm wandering what I should do now.  And I really re - install my drivers as well?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello

    You can delete all existing partitions on the HARD disk during installation, as follows.

    Start the installation.

    When you get to the screen 'What type on installation', choose the custom (Advanced) option, and then click drive options (Advanced).

    Here you can delete all existing partitions at a time by clicking on the partition to highlight it and then click Remove.

    A when you're finished, you'll have just one entry named not 'allocated space' - just proceed with the installation.

    Kind regards

    What will work restores your computer to its original factory state using HP recovery media.  It is a DVD and CD set that will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

    The link is on the software page and download drivers for your PC: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-Notebook-PC-series/7137590/model/7484025

    Once there, scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entty and click on order to press for more details.

    Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

    If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

    If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

  • I need to restore my laptop back to factory settings HP.

    I have Windows Vista Home Premium. But I don't know if it matters at this point.  My laptop does not recognize my hard drive, webcam, location of the backup file, scroll bar, does not allow me to run programs troubleshooting etc... the list is long. I want to just restore my computer to original date and start from scratch. Help, please.

    Hello

    by HP, I hope you mean that Hewlett Packard is the manufacturer, because the manufacturers have different ways to do

    If you don't have a recovery disc as it never came with it, press F11 at startup to start the process of recovery back to factory settings

    all data will be wiped from the hard drive during the process

    Here are the two ways to do:

    Restore the PC to its original state with the HP Recovery Manager of in Windows Vista

    If the PC can be started and opens on the Windows desktop, you can use the HP recovery disk to restore the PC to original factory State by following the steps below.
    1. Click Start and enter the recovery in the field of research. Select Recovery Manager in the list, when it becomes available. Allow the action to proceed, if you are prompted. The HP Recovery Manager opens.
      Alternatively, click Start , all programs , Recovery Manager , and then Recovery Manager . Allow the action to proceed, if you are prompted. The HP Recovery Manager opens.
    2. Click Advanced options , System Recovery , and then click Next . The PC will restart and reopen the Recovery Manager.
      Alternatively, if the advanced options is disabled, click Next , and then System Recovery . The PC will restart.
    3. When the PC restarts, select the System Recovery option and click Next .
    4. If you are prompted to use the Microsoft System Restore , click No and then click Next .
    5. When you are prompted, select back up your files first (recommended) , and then click Next . Follow the on-screen instructions.
    6. When you are prompted to recover without backing up your files , please STOP before you click Next .
      CAUTION: It's the last chance to change your mind recovery PC and delete all the files and programs. Once you click Next , the restore process cannot be stopped
    7. If you are convinced that you want to start the recovery process, click Next . The PC immediately starts formatting the disk hard drive and destroy all data.
    The recovery process may take up to several hours and will return the PC to its original state. All custom, settings drivers, software and upgrades or hardware updates are lost and must be reinstalled.
    Restore the PC to its original state with the HP Recovery Manager if Windows Vista is not accessible

    If the PC does not start under Windows, it may still be possible to use the HP recovery disk to restore the computer to its original state. The Recovery Manager can be started during the boot process by following the steps below.
    1. Press on the button / stop to start the PC and press the f11 key when the standard BIOS guests appear on the black screen.
      NOTE:  By pressing the f11 key at startup on a computer with an image factory HP will start the system recovery process, even if the message is not displayed.
      • If the HP Recovery Manager can access the hard disk recovery partition, a prompt to back up user files before you start the recovery
    . Follow the instructions.
    • If the HP Recovery Manager cannot access the hard disk to resolve system errors, you need to use the recovery disk custom that you created to recover the hard disk to its original state.
    • If you have not created the custom recovery disk, or disks are damaged, you can order a replacement of HP recovery CD.

  • When the Recovery Manager starts, follow the instructions of recovery step by step , shown above.
  • I made the mistake of disabling all my USB ports in Device Manager! Keyboard & mouse do not work. I need to restore the Sys - HELP!

    I made the mistake to disable all my USB ports in the device (Windows XP Home Edition) my mouse Manager and the keyboard works not because they are connected through USB ports. I need to find a way to get to the system restore through the Mode without failure or normal startup. Can someone please help!

    Hi PaulCanik,

    • Do you use your laptop or desktop computer?

    Check if keyboard works in basic input/output system (BIOS), if it works, then you will need to enable USB port from there.

    You will need to contact the manufacturer of the computer to aid in the basic input/output system (BIOS).

    If this does not help then you need to connect PS\2 mouse and activate later all USB ports on the computer.

    Important: Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    See you soon.

    My laptop Presario C300EA broke and need a restore CD for to revive and continue my studies. On the HP site it asks me to pay £33.00 but unfortunately cannot afford. Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Not a great loss, recovery of HP is nothing but the waste of space, a generic clean install will work much better & if you were on Vista before taking advantage of the opportunity to move to W7 that Vista was awful & MS should have offered all the markets sick very good Vista upgrade to 7 premium at least.
    W7 is much easier to install & most of the drivers will be installed during installation, missing persons may appear in the update of Windows or Vista that can be used, also check on Google for the best options of driver for OS installed on your model.
