Laptop HP Envy m6: wddm1.2 graphics adapter

Hello.  I'm updating of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.-Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2 - AMD Radeon HD 7660 G in my systems update. It continuous indicates failed. I need to update this software to update my Netflix app because my Netflix app will not update as well as a few other applications. Please let me know how to fix my laptop for this update. I tried the troubleshooter and everything has been fixed, so I don't understand why this update will come not through. Thank you.

Hi @sonyakim0701,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question on your HP ENVY m6 Sleekbook and issues with the graphics. I uninstall the graphics drivers in Device Manager, reboot the laptop. What do you see here? Try to update the driver of 7660 G AMD Radeon HD.

I'd be happy to help you if necessary because there are many models of HP laptops, I would need the model number.
How can I find my model number or product number?

Please let me know.

Thank you.

In simple terms, only update the driver from windows update, because the official driver of the lenovo site is best suited for your machine, and other drivers may cause issue with the brightness. So you can add it to your ignore list.

You can download the driver from the Intel website (search on your model number of graph, then Windows 7), read the notes first check it is correct for your hardware, uninstall the graphics drivers (Windows will return to a default basic driver), restart and install the new drivers.

If this does not work, the Lenovo Web site will be older (but certified to work) drivers for your system model.

    Hello

No, no, colocation allows you to add a video card. It uses Intel HD Graphics 520 with up to 4172 MB total graphics memory that came with the CPU:

and replace the CPU is not as simple as that.

    Hello

As a general rule, if your product works very well, and the update of the driver does not provide a previously unavailable feature, don't fix what isn't broken.

What you don't say, is whether your current driver is Microsoft Windows 'Approved' / 'certified '. What is my personal opinion, I am a firm believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it.". I saw that too many products otherwise good (video cards, sound cards, etc.) get sacked because someone downloaded and installed a new driver more than one that worked very well.

As long as your machine works well, leave well enough alone would be my advice.

Let me know what you decide.

    Kind regards

I have the same problem as this guy asks. However, the file that is provided by the answer has been damaged. If this file can be reuploaded correctly, that would be appreciated. I know this is quite old but I want to solve this problem. If there is a new solution, it would be also greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello:

Because it is the switchable graphics of amd/intel driver, it's the only one you can use.

It's a custom driver and it's the only one that works on your laptop.

If you download the file, use 7 - zip to unpack in the folder and run the file setup.exe from there.

  • HP Envy 14 w / Nvidia GTX 950 m: degradation of Gaming Laptop HP Envy

    Hello

I recently bought my laptop HP Envy a year ago and I used it moderately for school and work. I made sure to buy the GTX included 950 m graphics card so I could play some of my steam games and I'm just starting to achieve a degradation in the performance of my laptop. I do not speak of degradation when I bought the laptop so far but I'm not talking about just playing a game and having amazing performance (graphics on medium-high and about 50 to 60 images per second), but after like 5 minutes of play he is slowly starting to soak as 14-15 fps. In particular, I tried playing Overwatch today and had an amazing gameplay for the first 5 minutes, but I dropped up to 15 images/s and it's hardly playable. I tried to change the resolution and that seemed to have fixed however the same problem happened five minutes again.  I have no idea why my laptop it would especially since I have not really used a lot for the game this year and I'm sure to maintian computer performance by updating the drivers, reboot often and defraging.

    CrazyAce

I think that I finally found a solution to the problem. I was on my laptop of friends (which is similar to mine) and noticed that she had not updated its geforce experience. So I've updated for her and she began to notice the same problems I had. It turns out that this experience of NVIDIA GeForce is not really necessary for the games because it does not include the graphics driver. So as soon as I uninstalled, all started to run surprisingly. Time just in the better together performance and faster startup, no fps drop. Who would have known to try to uninstall the software, only that I have to refer to the graphics card to make my graphics card will be smoother and does not affect my computer.

Thanks for the time to help out me if. I'm so happy that I figured this out.

I understand you would like to know if the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 M in the HP 15 t Envy is the DDR3 or GDDR5?

When I checked Maintenance of laptops HP ENVY and Service of Guide, looking at the memory specifications it States they are DDR3 type.  I can't say for some, but most likely the GTX950M is also of this type for compatibility purposes.

  • 4730 proBook s: Standard VGA Graphics Adapter and Base system device drivers

Hello, I have a problem with my device manager.  I need to fix or update/install drivers for a Standard VGA Graphics Adapter and Base system device drivers. I can't find anything useful, I please help.

    Best regards

    Hello:

You need this driver for the card reader (base system device).

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?sp4ts.Oid=5060894&swItemId=ob_116003_1&swEnvOid=4059

In order to provide the correct graphic driver, I need to know if your laptop's graphics card Intel or AMD/Intel switchable graphics.

If there is just a standard vga card listed, then you probably need just the driver intel graphics.

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?sp4ts.Oid=5060894&swItemId=ob_103472_1&swEnvOid=4059

If there are two adapters listed standard vga, so you need this driver.

    Hello:

I don't know a lot about the switchable graphics, but let's try something.

I'm afraid that if you run the complete driver package, it can destroy the installation driver for HD 5xxx series.

    Then, try this...

Download driver AMD support page and the driver of your laptop.  Do not run it.

Use the free 7-zip files extraction utility to extract the driver to a folder.

Link to 7 - zip below.

    http://7-zip.org/download.html

After you let 7-Zip extract the .exe file to a folder, go to the Device Manager and click on your device ATI 4200 problem. Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select Browse my computer for the software method and find the 7-zip folder extracted.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and hopfully the driver install and not tear your discrete HD 5xxx video card.

I'm not the one who works the HDMI out port. Only one of them would be, I think.

  • graphic adapter for Sony vaio

    Hello
I would like to know if it is possible to add any graphics adapter for my laptop
    I mean separate laptop

    MRC1,

If the discrete graphics adapter, you speak is a USB device, then yes it would be possible to use.

However, adapters like this tend to be limited to the speed and performance of the USB interface.

The graphics chips on VAIO PCs are to be integrated into the CPU or the motherboard, so it is not possible to change, add or upgrade.

  • Dell Precision M90 recently upgraded to x 64 Win7 can not get correct graphics, stuck with the Standard VGA Graphics Adapter Card

I have a Dell Precision M90 laptop and recently upgraded to Vista 32 bit to 64 bit Windows 7.  Everything worked perfectly, except for my display drivers.  Windows 7 installed a driver called Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.  This driver has a very low resolutions only and cannot deal with games or same Aero.

I had an experience with updated video drivers with Vista.  My graphics card is a NVIDIA Quadro FX 2500 M.  When I had Vista there is no Vista compatible driver for this card, so I used the Geforce 7900GTX driver (which is inspired by the FX 2500 M) and it worked fine.  Of course, the Quadro FX 2500 M doesn't have a driver compatible windows 7.

I downloaded the driver for the 64 - bit Windows 7 Geforce 7 series so I could upgrade and use, however when I used the NVIDIA installer it says that my computer has no compatible hardware for this driver (I tried to install it in Vista compatibility as well).  I tried to force the upgrade by using the option "have disk" and choosing the .inf directly file.  This did not always and said that he could not work because "the selected driver for this device does not support this version of Windows" even if it is the version of Windows 7.

I also tried to start my computer in safe mode, uninstall the VGA Standard driver and then install the driver NVIDIA, but it does not work either.

Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to add as much information as possible I hope to solve this problem.  Thank you for taking a look and thanks for your suggestions!

Fixed!  Finally!  Dell.com took the pilot... but the link that they had posted on the page of Precision M90 was mislabeled.  I tried another way, found the good pilot, and got, it works.  Solved the days and days of frusturation.
