  • RAM upgrade for mid-2012 MacBook Pro question?

So, I bought some RAM Corsair (2 x 8 GB) to install in my MacBook Pro for mid-2012. It has been well over a month now and I get freezes and flaws that were not there when the Apple RAM stock has already been installed. My question is... are it freezes and the seeds one result of the brand of RAM I have installed (Corsair) or the fact that I am superior to the amount of 8 GB of RAM recommended for this laptop of Apple to the particular address?

    Thank you.

As you can see here, your MBP can, indeed, support for 16 GB of RAM. However, DIMMs must meet Apple specifications which are often much more demanding that really meant DIMMS for PC can meet. One of the advantages of buying from OWC (in the link) is that they provide 100% support so their products need to be designed with the Mac in mind. If you have no problem with DIMM Apple, but you do with Corsair DIMMS, I would say getting them replaced or, better yet, to get a refund.

    Hello

I have a question for HP Laptop HP 15-ac089n:

as it is only 4 GB of RAM, I' like to upgrade at least 8 GB.

Anyone know if it can be improved and if the slot of RAM so how did have and what is the maximum RAM space that I can install?

    Thank you in advance.

    REPAIR:

    Manual link

Two memory non-customer-accessible/extendable module housing (Intel Core processors)

See p. 46 for the installation of the memory. You need to remove the bottom cover. There are 2 slots. Your a single 4 GB module in a slot and a location empty. Although the specs say that it can take up to 8 GB, it has been shown that the 2 x 8 total 16 GB will work. I agree with your plan to add another 4 GB module for 8 total. It is more profitable.

This isn't an upgrade of the end user, but if you do it without damage to the computer HP laptop will still honor the warranty.

  • Where can I find a compatible RAM upgrade for a Satellite 1130-Z25?

My Satellite 1130-Z25 runs very slowly and I'm looking to boost performance. I want to upgrade the RAM - this model will support supposed to be an upgrade to 1024 MB of RAM. Where can I find a compatible product? (the function "show compatibility" does not appear on this site when it is used, and I can't find the relevant info on what I currently have in my laptop outside the standard "256 MB of RAM DDR", displayed under system information.

I recommend to check this site of memory for laptop:

    [Memory for Toshiba Satellite 1130-Z25 | http://www.orcalogic.co.uk/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=7222&ft=m&st=3]

You will find compatible modules for notebook you.
About the info on the page, you must use the 200 pin PC2100 (266 MHz) DDR SODIMM

I think this should be enough to help find good modules ;)

  • 8 GB of RAM upgrade for ES1-311-C9XM recognized as 2 GB

I bought a laptop Acer Aspire ES1-311-C9XM earlier. Only, it came with 2 GB of RAM so I decided to upgrade the RAM. After doing some research on the net, I discovered that it could be upgraded up to 8 GB of RAM. The RAM module that it was originally a SKhynix HMT425S6AFR6A-PB 2 GB PC3L - 12800S - 11 - 13 - C3 1600 MHz 204pin SODIMM. I found a RAM module of 8 GB which form with the original, a CMSO8GX3M1C1600C11 of Corsair 8 GB DDR3L 1600 MHz module, but when I replaced the original 2 GB of RAM with the new 8 GB of RAM (there is only 1 of RAM), the laptop that showed 2 GB available RAM, as well in the UEFI (BIOS) and in Windows 64 - bit of 8.1.

I tried to take the new RAM module to insert it again. No difference.

I tried to reset the UEFI (BIOS). Still no difference.

I tried to get an update of the UEFI (BIOS) on the Acer site. He was not part.

Can we make suggestions on how to get it to work?

Well, after trying the RAM without success last week, I was ready to try to return it, but I thought find the answers here and try all the suggestions initially (IronFly thank you for your answer). So last night, I opened the laptop and put the new module of 8 GB RAM. When I pulled up, the first thing I did was to check the amount of RAM has been reported in UEFI (BIOS). He pointed out that 2 GB of RAM. So I selected "Reset default" and then recorded and you leave the UEFI. Windows 8.1 began. When he did, I checked the amount of RAM has been reported in Control Panel > all items in the control panel > system in the Windows Task Manager and msconfig. All of the above reported only 2 GB of RAM. I had checked the setting of the maximum RAM in msconfig has been deselected when I installed first 8 GB RAM module (msconfig > Boot > advanced... > memory Maximum), but I double checked it this time just to be sure.

After having no success this time around, I thought I would restart the laptop to see if it can solve the problem. No luck. The UEFI and Windows 8.1 were the two reports only 2 GB of RAM.

At this point, I thought that I remembered something in Windows 7, Safe Mode allowing you to test the RAM, so I thought I'd see if safe mode of Windows 8.1 had this as well. I hit the Windows symbol in the lower left of the desktop computer to access the Windows 8.1 tiles, selected PC settings > update and Recovery > Recovery > Advanced startup > restart now. When the system is started in Mode safe, I chose Troubleshoot > advanced options, but could not see an option to test the RAM, so I chose the parameters of the UEFI firmware and restarted. At this point, I thought that if she did not work this time, I took the RAM return it for a refund.

I think that the UEFI reported yet only 2 GB of RAM, so I thought I just save and exit, turn off the laptop and out of RAM. When I left the UEFI, however, let him start Windows. This time the trunk is a bit different. It took longer than usual--at least twice as long as normally, he would have to go to the login on Windows 8.1 screen. When I logged in, the first thing I did was to open the Manager of tasks, and to my complete shock and surprise, it was a story of 8 GB of RAM!

    SUCCESS!

I have no idea why it worked this time, but not other times. The only thing I can think is that I accessed the UEFI since Windows this time rather than hitting F2 at startup.

After getting more of my great surprise, I thought I'd better that it was not a one-time or intermittent thing, so I rebooted a dozen times in a dozen ways different to ensure, and every time that she came back as 8 GB of RAM.

So, in summary, the RAM works fine now. If it stays this way, I will not refresh the topic, but if something weird starts happening again, I will post more information. In the meantime, I will enjoy the 8 GB of RAM!

  • Questions o/e battery and RAM upgrade for dv6700

Hello everyone. I have 2 questions regarding my HP laptop (model number: dv6000 on the right corner of the eyelid, dv6920ea at the back of the laptop and HP System Info por displays as dv6700 notebook PC):

1 recently, I saw the battery life drops SIGNIFICANTLY and check battery HP says its normal and I should replace.

    • Purchase of a laptop battery that supports HP Pavilion dv6700 Entertainment Notebook PC series will be sufficient or should it be specially for my computer model laptop #dv6920ea?
    • What is the difference between a 12 cell and the battery 6 cells? My laptop does support both? What is the best?
    • What is the difference between This battery sold by Amazon and it sold by HP?

    2. I want to increase the RAM of my laptop. Currently its 3 GB (2048 + 1024). I searched memory upward and they say only 1 GB of RAM is available. HP sells RAM directly? Or is there anywhere else where I can buy real from RAM?

I know that these are very novice questions, so please bear with me.

Thanks in advance for the help. I look forward to a response.

    Best regards

    Ashraf

6-cell is a standard battery 12 cell's long battery life running, he executed more time when you're on battery and is slightly larger in size and may protrude from the laptop.

The difference between HP batteries and other brand, you can be sure to use the highest quality lithium batteries HP others you are not sure of the quality. Amazon announced says it's a real HP battery, so its all too good.

The battery fits any series HP DV6000 laptop computers.

Unless you use a 64-bit operating system, it's a waste of money to go to 4 GB.

Any brand of ram will work, just be sure that the seller guarantees the compatibility of your system model.

Check the model of the computer in the link below to make sure that it is on your computer.

Here's memory and SSD that are compatible with your computer on Crucial memory website.  As it is said, you can install a single module at a time, but given that the motherboard supports dual channel architecture, it is best to install pairs.  Read the whole page to make sure you get all the information.

While I am not sure that the memory is compatible with existing memory, if it were me, I would buy all of the 8 GB of memory.  This will ensure that it is no problem of compatibility.  You can also contact see service customer of Crucial in what they have to say.

    @Dave-SC, welcome to the forum.

The truth is, HP has their motherboards and components made to their specifications.  For this reason, it is difficult to find a motherboard that has holes which will be adapted to the accessory in the case.  The best way to upgrade, it is to buy a new computer.  We advance the money long term.

  • RAM upgrade for the e520 problem

Hi all. My Dim520 should take 4 gigabytes of RAM, in 2 installments of 2 x 1 GB. It says in the manual. I don't really have as much RAM, but as it went VERY cheap, I bought two 1 GB 533 Mhz DDR2 cards just because they were there. I installed the 2 cards, but my computer only recognizes 3 GB. Am I missing something completely obvious? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
