Laptop HP Pavilion 2320DX g4: computer hp laptop pavilion g4 does not start successfully after update and return to windows 8.1

Hi, I have recently updated my laptop to Windows 10. He had so many problems and I didn't like it at all, so I just returned my laptop to Windows 8.1.  Since then, my laptop does not correctly every time, and the fan immediately starts to work as well. I can start my pc and connect to my home screen each time.  If the tile is moving or light up when I move my cursor, then I know that I can use my laptop for a little while. It can freeze after getting out a good program. Other times when I start my laptop, everything is dead except for logging on my screen. My Windows key on the keyboard does not work most of the time.  If the screen does not respond the first time I turn, as described above, I can't absolutely nothing on my pc. I can't access the search bar by moving the cursor to top right, I can't open the tiles, I can't spend in desktop mode, etc.  Front I upgraded to Windows 10 and downgraded to 8.1 all worked perfectly, because I've updated from 8.0 to 8.1 Windows almost 2 years.  I have a defective battery. in fact I can only use my laptop if it is plugged. My fan is constantly going, but I don't know if it's my loss of battery or what's wrong with my pc now.  I have described my problem in the Microsoft community forum but have had little response that was not helpful. I was told to go to the command prompt and put in DISM: scan now (which also contained letters more than that, but I do not remember all). I followed the instructions and for 2 days, my pc seems to do better. Then he returned to this problem again. I hope you can help me.  If you have additional questions, post here or please email me at [removed personal information]. Thank you!

@DWESTDEWITT,

Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forum.  What you can do at this point that there are several updates released by microsoft and hardware vendors is running the Windows Update Troubleshooter.

If this fails to solve the problem.  The only option will be to restore the operating system to the previous, until HP gets the drivers so that they can release them on the support page for your laptop for Windows 10.

Thanks again for posting and have a great day.

Go to your retail store, they should have the disk recovery for you or you need to go to your manufacturer directly because the manufacturer is best qualified to support the software that the manufacturer has installed on the hardware, provide your serial number and order the CD on their part. I bet they arrange an expedition to the France and tax treatment for it, but should not be too much.

Note: The manufacturer was required to provide a way to reinstall Windows. If it is not a set of disks with the computer, there will be a hidden restore partition (do not be confused with the system restore), you would use to return the computer to the State of the OOBE (Out of Box Experience).

  • Open my laptop, now it does not start

Hi everyone, the first time poster.

I opened my laptop (touchsmart tm2 1070ca) to attempt to clean the keyboard and now it does not start at the top.  all the LEDs light up, but the caps lock LED flashes.  The fans and hard drive look about 2 seconds before silence, and about 10 seconds later, the laptop beeps loud and then stops.

When I opened upward, the touchpad is detached from the motherboard. I finally get it reconnected, but it turned out to be very difficult.

I tried the Bios recovery suggested on the support site, but it had no effect.

any help would be massively appreciated.  no no not my laptop will really make my life difficult.

I know this is an old thread but since there was no solution, I felt should display what has worked for me, in case someone else has this problem.

This morning my computer refuses to start and the caps lock blinked. I've read elsewhere that a user of a model different from simply removed HP sound CD ROM and re-inserted. My laptop is a HP tm2 Tablet PC, so it doesn't have a removable CD ROM, but I was wondering if another device had become "loose". First, I removed the dongle USB for my mouse and battery and then restarted. That did not help so I forced a stop down (press the power switch.) Then, I opened the background panels and reinstall the RAM (actually happened two sticks to make sure) and removed and re-inserted the HD then restarted again. I don't know which of these factors did the trick, but it worked.

Hope someone finds this useful info.

    Hi @jaimet1, @Sinister , @stevestock1 , @Kscarlisle , @Abdullah_Ali ,.

Thank you all for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. It's a great site for information and questions. I looked at your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook and starting problems.  If you have replaced the motherboard and it is always the case - it isn't the graphics as graphics are attached to the motherboard. Here is a link to computer will not start.  I start at the top and work my way down.

Mine has been corrected with the relocation of the HARD drive. Others must have fixed with just reinstalling the memory. Here is a video that shows you how do to remove and reinstall the HARD drive and memory.

Note Remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

You can Reset the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. Helping others it restores the default settings.

I hope something here helps anyone of you difficulty the laptop.

My computer does not start.  Screen is dark, even if I hear a fan.  When I tried to start, it turns on and turns off after a few seconds.  I removed the battery and the power turns on but does not start.  I tried a hard reset, nothing helps.  I also eliminated a fo the two strips of RAM and tried to start with each of the two, but this doesn't work anymore.

I had installed a Samsung SSD a year ago and everything worked fine.  Last night, I reinstalled the rotation of the original hard disk supplied with the computer and the computer booted.  I reinstalled the SSD and everything worked like new.  In other words, until this morning.  same symptoms.

    How to diagnose and fix?

I forgot to mention that after I installed the original hard disk, the bios updated and the computer worked fine until this morning.

Caps lock key seems to blink twice, but the model is difficult to discern.

  • Re: Computer laptop Qosmio F15 does not start when the Start button / stop is pressed

My Toshiba Qosmio f15-av201 does not turn when you push the power button, even if the lights of ac adapter & battery are both on (on). Indeed, the yellow light that is supposed to turn on the power button when the laptop is turned off does not appear. In addition, there is no sign that shows the laptop tries to start when the button is pressed, not even a peep. The laptop was recently dismantled (open) to clean the fans, who made the famous monstrous noise which toshiba qosmios are apparently well known for.
Everything seems to be connected correctly in its correct place. Nothing seems to be damaged. So, I have no idea where I can get out of here. Pending issue.

    Help will be less appreciated.

    Hi @DutchyH,

Welcome to the Forum.  Sorry to hear of your problem power button on your HP Pavilion g7-1135sd.

In a situation like this.  You have removed the battery and tried to push the power button with out.

Have you tried while he was not powered as well.  So basically, remove the battery and hold the power button for 40 seconds with the power cord not plugged in.  Then replace the battery followed by power cord.  Then press the power button again.  If it does not at this stage I would contact HP support by phone.

  • Pavilion dv6 does not start.

I realize how close to, it is impossible to help someone fix a computer on the Internet, but I thought I should give it a shot.

When I start the computer to the top, volume, power, wifi, the trackpad lights and numlock LEDs and fan turns on, then only the capslock light flashes. Nothing else happens. The screen remains empty and therefore does not allow me to get into the BIOS. No more noises not coming from the laptop. I am unable to do anything to change the lights on the computer. Pressing caps, numlock, winlock or the trackpad button do nothing.

I don't know what caused the problem. The computer worked well the night before and the next morning, when I tried to turn it on, it happened. I think that the symptoms I have outlined point to a hard drive problem, and my warranty has expired. So before I crack this thing open and start playing with it, someone has it any suggestions?

    Hello

As you're laptop is out of warranty, the best advice I can give would be to take it to a local computer repair shop and get an estimate (and to confirm the diagnosis) for the cost of repairs.  At cost less this way you can weigh-up this repair against the cost of a new laptop and then a decision.

    Kind regards

  • Pavilion A1507UK does not start until left and turned on for at least 5 minutes before trying again.

Sorry if this is a long post on a stupid problem but it baffled me completely. It started a few weeks ago, that is to say not start when turned on first, but start normally have been left at least 5 minutes.

My first thought was that the hard drive may be failing, so I bought a new one (same model) and cloned the original using Seagate DiskWizard. The swapped and the fault was still there.

Then the food. Bought another (identical) and them inverted. No difference, still don't need warm up before boooting. Both power supplies tested A1 on a multimeter.

OK, so it must be the motherboard. Bought another (identical ECS RC - 410M rev 1.03) a Pentium 4 CPU and new radiator and fan to go with it. Swapped their course and other BIOS of Compaq and not HP, cela worked perfectly, in addition to having to be put on for 5 minutes before you start...!

Tried original power with the new motherboard - started immediately when first in market but the next morning - no change. Pointing to the motherboard (being hot when we food supplies changed) again.

The only thing I haven't changed is the memory and the on/off switch (I tried fill the pins on the map and the fault was still there), but that passes all the tests I can throw at it.

Then I read about the bad capacitors. Found 2 those inflated in the region on the original Pavilion on board voltage regulator and was able to change them for 2 new hats of Nichicon, thinking it was the answer. It wasn't. Return all right, swapped boards is dory hunky apart from the refusal of this computer to start when the first step. Also I can't find a single capacitor bad look on the Compaq Board that shows the same characteristic.

I am now at the stage that I think that someone else must have met this problem if I now get with almost 2 completely different computers. There must be something really stupid that I didn't think or an amazing series of coincidences if all these bits are bad.

    Help someone?

Eyemdee, have you tested the memory.  I had almost the same problem when I built my last computer.  Finally, it came down to memory.  I replaced it and everything was fine.  As I said, I would test it before buying more, however.

  • I downloaded an update and restarted my computer, received the blue screen of death shortly after the computer restarts. Now it does not start

I don't know when the downloaded update, the computer has been restarted on September 10, 2010 to install updates. Shortlyl once the computer is restarted, I got the blue screen of death.  with the details of error like:

Stop 0 x 000000050 (0 x 000000000000000, 0xFFFFF88001DCAE4, 0xFFFFF8A00B490027, 0 x 00000000000002) do not know if the number of zeros is exactly right in one of those, but it's super frustrating.

I tried to restart my computer in repair as recommended (get blue screen of death), I tried to reboot normally, loop just restart procedures asking if I want to restart in repair mode.  I tried SafeMode (BSOD), I tried to restart with last working restart (restart loops), I tried to choose the "Computer repair" BSOD I tried a diagnosis and all past.

    Help!

    Thank you.

So yes actually hear nothing helped me.  Seems that, given that the computer is not stopped correctly and my hard drive was not recognized there starting the cycle upward or give me the BSOD.  Put it in my Ubuntu CD spare which I've had since my last PC hard drive became corrupt and force back across my hard drive.  After doing this, I was able to do a boot repair, who led for the BSOD.  Not sure how that actually fixed, lost about 10 hours of my day.  So I guess I can chalk up to Microsoft and a reminder on why I should buy Mac for now on... an update shouldn't really cause such problems.

I get that not everyone has the same PC, so it is difficult to tell if an update is bad, but he should not do this and if an update is the cause of a certain segment of consumers who are updating must be taken down for everyone, or at least the users with the configuration that is known to have problems with an update.

Problem is solved, had to go back to a previous version of good boot where I have not install updates again.  Now, I'm trying to understand who was was bad, so I can leave my computer knows to ignore.

    Nice day.

Just in case someone needs to know how to use Ubuntu to back up files on their PC that does not load windows, please see the link below:

  • HP Pavilion dv9260nr does not start after the bios update

After the HP Health Check, it was recommended that I have updated to the current bios.  After you have downloaded and installed, the computer would not start.  Instead, it emits a long beep and 2 short beeps and the screen is blank.  How can I recover a bios update failed?  Is there a way to return the computer to the bios Setup?

I thought I would post here to help others as I just spent 5 hours to fix this problem. I have personally experienced this on two different computers, both are model DV9260NR. I woke up in the long and short two beep power. The first time it happened, I tried to fix the BIOS by using the recovery disk, but it didn't work. I tried this using a USB floppy like any other player. The floppy drive should get accessible, then machine would be on a second beep then stop, but it would remain under tension. The first time around I gave up and eventually return it to HP as it was under warranty. This time above the current problem computer is more under warranty so I decided to test out of old college. After trying several discs crisis different Phoenix, I finally found one that worked.

    I downloaded crisdisk.zip here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?3ccb9m0kv0m

Followed by the latest bios from HP for the DV9260NR

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp42001-42500/sp42187.exe

I used 7 - zip to extract the files in sp42187.exe and crisdisk.zip

go to the folder where you extracted sp42187.exe and rename it to 30BBF2D. WPH into the BIOS. WPH

Copy BIOS.wph to the folder where your snippet CRISDISK.zip

I have created my disk in Vista, so don't worry about going "Real DOS".

YOU MUST USE CRISDISK TO CREATE THE DISC!  SIMPLY COPY THE RIGHT FILES ON A FLOPPY DISK DID NOT WORK!

    Open a command prompt, I used command.com not cmd.exe

    CD to the folder CRISDISK.

At the prompt enter: "CRISDISK. "BAT HAS:

Finally, put in a blank disk and follow the instructions.

Once the disk created, slap this puppy in a floppy USB drive and plug it into the computer.  I didn't need to use as or Windows + B, B FN hotkeys to trigger the BIOS recovery. The system entered in the BIOS for me recovery mode and tried to access the USB floppy.  I noticed that not all USB ports will work.  I plugged my USB stick, floppy to the next to the power supply.  If all goes well just turn on the computer with connected USB floppy drive and the disc in the drive. As before the system beeps once per second during playback of the disc.  The disk activity, arrested again, but this time that the system kept beep immediately after discontinuation of access to the drive.  These beeps point you out that the BIOS is flashed, it's just leave turn. When it was made the machine itself set off.  If yours is not, so I doubt that the BIOS recovery will succeed. I then unplugged the USB floppy drive, turned on again and to my surprise I was greeted by the HP and the BIOS logo!  I hope this helps people difficulty of their DV9260NR.  I met four dv9260nr machines and two of them does not update the BIOS using WinPhlash and the finished machine trashed, not good statistically.  I hope that others with the same model will be able to get their machinery running. I'd be curious to know if it works for others.  Post here if you are or do not succeed using this procedure. Good luck!
