• HP Officejet Pro 8600: Recently a fax pops up when I try to print photos and the picture does not print

  We have a printer all-in-one HP Officejet Pro 8600 operating from a desktop HP with Windows 7. Recently, in the last two weeks my wife told me, we cannot print photos. The documents appear to be printed without a problem, but when trying to print a photo we get a window titled 'Send Fax - HP Officejet Pro 8600'. We have never used or even hung fax capablitly since we have owned this printer (maybe 2-3 years). All of a sudden, this window is displayed when we try to print a photo and the photo does not print.  I can't tell you that my wife did not hit accidentally a wrong button somewhere down the line, but she says she does not. I tried to attach a screenshot of the window, but for some reason that it does not take it. It's probably something very simple, but technically challenged myself, I can't understand. Help, please.

  Print picture of what program?  Some programs to keep their own default values for the printer.  It seems that the default printer for the printing of the photo program has been set to Fax.  Try to open the program, select the Officejet Pro 8600 as the printer rather than the Officejet Pro 8600 fax.

  First of all, the link you provided does not work.

  Your computer has UEFI and the 960 GTX requires UEFI in the motherboard.  However, you will need a new power supply (PSU).  The current PSU is only 300W.  The GTX 960 requires a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  It may also be too long to fit in the space provided.  Although I have had members say he did not.

  To save you a lot of problems, I suggest you contact the Technical Support of the manufacturer to ensure it will work with your computer.

• I have the print head and the alignment of the problems with our officejetpro8500 910 a.

  We noticed that the cyan ink was not printing. The product is out of warranty about five weeks before we noticed a problem. We have replaced all the ink with the new hp ink cartridges. We changed to print in black only. Now, she wants to print a test page everytime we try to print something. Ink, we bought at costco for this printer was a third of the price of a new model of 8600. Please help before my wife beat me with this printer!

  The baseline version is 10.1.4.1.0, all others are patches. Later in 10.1.4.3.0, which can be downloaded via MOS (formerly Metalink).
  10G release 3 is marketing speak. 10.1.4.1 thru 10.1.4.3 are all 10 G Release 3 (but different patchlevels. Guess you can talk about OID 10 G release 3 patch 2, when you mean DIO V10.1.4.3.0 - technicians tend to use versions).

  I'm back from holiday yesterday and when I tried to power on my laptop that he had to go through the windows recovery.
