Laptop HP Stream - 11-d077nr: Wifi adapter endangered

I've had this laptop about a year and a half, and things were working fine without any problems until a few weeks ago.

The internet connection is suddenly released, and the resolution of the problems diagnosed was a problem with the network adapter.

The network used on my laptop adapter is Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11b/g/n.

I uninstalled the driver for the card, downloaded a newer, more updated driver from another computer, then reinstalled on the affected computer.

It worked for about an hour, until the wifi is out again, and the network card has disappeared from the Device Manager.

Resetting the computer would bring back wifi for a period of 5 minutes to 5 hours, but it would never last.

Finally, I reset my computer back to factory settings. After doing this, the NIC was present in the Device Manager, and the wifi worked well for a few days, before returning to its non-functional State.

This sounds like a hardware problem? Is it possible to get my card wifi, replaced by hp? Or this problem may be solved by fiddling with the software?

Thank you very much.

Try disabling the windows driver updates.

Windows key + X

System

Advanced system settings (it is on the upper left side of the page)

Tab material (System Properties window)

Parameters of peripheral facilities

Select No

After having done that, re - install the appropriate driver and update the BIOS of the PC.

  • HP 14 laptop: how to replace the QCA9565 of Qualcomm Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter

    Hello

I have a laptop HP 14 which is currently used for academic purposes. However, at the school, the WiFi is dual band, and so I can't connect.  At the moment I have a QCA9565 of Qualcomm Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter and I am aware that is not double band. So is it possible to replace the current single band with a dual band adapter? Is it is possible to replace the card, then you have suggestions of what to buy and how to install the product in my book. If there is a free alternative, please keep me informed.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey @Raiyan1 ,

Here is a link to page 31 of your manual . The Wifi card is a mini map 1 x 1.

  • HP2000-US: upgrading laptop WiFi adapter HP-2000

When choosing a new adapter to improve my WiFi capability, must I choose one with WiFi + Bluetooth capability, or just WiFi is enough?
The adapter is an AR9485 of Qualcomm Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter.

What would make this incompatible adapter is the white list of the HP BIOS. Integrated in the BIOS, the code is a list of metatags wireless card and if the card in the slot is not one of those, starting to happen in front of a black screen with a text warning. There is no 5 GHz module that will go beyond that. Sorry, it was never my idea to have the white list.

  • I need help please my wifi adapter

    Hello everyone,

I have a Windows laptop Aspire E5-772 to 8.1 and the wifi adapter must be reset after about 12 GB of downloading files and sometimes so that the streaming of Netflix. I got this computer 2 months, and I had this problem from the beginning. I was able to dl different WiFi LAN of Atheros drivers for example - I am under Intel drivers now - but I don't know which of the other 5 choice to use. Or y at - it a setting or two that needs tweaking?

    Rick

If you have an Intel Wifi card, Atheros drivers do not work. If it has worked and you have an Intel driver, it must be Intel. Here is the latest driver to Win 8.1 Intel for E5 - 772.

  • ENVY 15 j040el (Italy): replacement/upgrade for RALINK RT 3290 wifi adapter

My RT 3290 RALINK wifi adapter supplied with HP ENVY 15 Notebook j040el (bought in Italy in 2013) has stopped working.  I got to know of it when all of a sudden I couldn't access the internet more but my Tablet worked fine, so no fault of my ISP.   Fortunately I had at hand a USB wifi adapter to my office, and in him reconnect the wifi was back.  So my RALINK RT 3290 went for sure. Unfortunately, my warranty expired last year, and I can't ask for a free replacement of HP.   There is no RALINK RT 3290 on Amazon Italy.   I've seen a few complaints about the RALINK RT 3290 performance on the forum.

1 can one suggest a good compatible replacement or upgrade?

2 HP suggest a compatible replacement? How? Where?

Laptop model: HP ENVY 15 j040el

    Country: Italy

    OS: Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Processor: Intel core i7-4700MQ, 2.40 gHz

    RAM: 12 GB

    HARD drive: 1 TB

    Warranty: due September 2014.

The module that I suggested is compatible. It is the same physical size and has 2 antenna connectors it will be a matter of popping the old and jump into the new and replace the son, and then to load the driver. I don't know how you burn a wifi card but I mean it is also dual-band 2.4 and 5 ghz 7260 AC if that is a problem for you maybe, my advice would be different.

    2 x 2 vs 1 x 1 designates the number of streams from radio to the card. 2 x 2 is better.

I use a laptop of Hp 2000, and the adapter installed on the computer provided wireless is a Ralink RT5390 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter.  I ran the driver update tool, and it says I have install the driver update.  I have also run the tool to "Diagnose the problem", and he says that he has no problem.  However, the computer loses internet connection constantly.  I guess it has something to do with the wireless adapter, because all other wireless in the House have no problems. • WiFi adapter has gone from one day to the next

HI - can someone help me understand why the wifi adapter might have disappeared since the device from one day to the next Manager? And how do I get it back?

    Thank you very much

    P

    Hi P_1

One of the reasons why a device disappear are simple a hardware malfunction.
It would be very interesting to know what model of laptop you have and what card WLan disappeared.
But generally if the Wlan chip isn t listed in Device Manager, and if there is no yellow or peripheral exclamation points strangers, then everything looks like a hardware failure.

  • Update for hp pavilion g6-1d73us WiFi adapter

I have a HP Pavilion g6-1d73us running Windows 7 Home Premium with Intel Core i3 2.30 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 64-bit OS and want to upgrade my wireless WiFi 802.11ac 802.11n wifi adapter so I can also change my modem & router to the new, faster standard. The current wifi adapter I have is Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11 b/g/n wifi adapt. I studied the material on the internet and I think I want an Intel Wireless AC 7260 wifi adapter, but I don't know if it is compatible with my laptop. Could you please tell me what 802.11ac wireless card or adapter is compatible with my laptop or if I'm even able to upgrade that component. My computer works fine and has no problem. Thank you.

Sorry no. The computer HP laptop motherboard has a BIOS program that is configured to stop the boot process, if all the wireless but very specific cards is installed. In the case of your laptop, no adapter 802.11ac lies on the 'white list' to boot.

  • M70: WiFi adapter does not connect to the wifi Lan

    Hello
I have the Satellite M70-122 with an Intel PRO set wireless adapter 2200BG Driver version 9.0.2.25. ConfigFree radar screen correctly identifies the wifi router of my Motorola, but when I click on and get the router on the icon of the laptop, no connection is established and there is a message that says:
"Sell another application is controlling the wireless card."

I disabled the "use Windows to configure my wireless" box under settings to connect wireless but no luck.

In addition, there is no wifi adapter icon in the status bar, or I can get to a window with the settings of the adapter to enter the SSID and WEP details.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hello

Have you used a tool of connectivity like Atheros WLan client utility?
    On WEP:
PC card encryption is hardware specific. Maybe if it of not possible to use WEP encryption, because the card doesn t that supports.

  • Wifi adapter A6100 lag spikes / logout

    Hello

I bought a computer on an online store last month and I need to buy a USB wireless adapter, so I bought this USB of A6100 WiFi adapter. Since I was able to connect to the internet, I noticed a lot of split shift (of 75ms to 500 + for a few seconds) that I had not on my laptop, even if the signal quality is Excellent. Also when I turn on my computer, there is a great chance that I can connect to my router, but not to the internet. In this case, I simply right click / solve problems and the same error appears 9 times out of 10 every time: there's a protocol missing on the computer.

I tried to update my drivers but nothing works. If I want a replacement for this card, I obviously need to go back to the store I bought it will take probably a few weeks but I can't wait and I have no other possibility to connect to my router (any other USB adapters / no ethernet not cable because I am a little too far from the router).

    Furthermore, I use Windows 10.

Is there a quick fix for me or I must send my rear adapter for a replacement?

    Thank you!

I decided to buy a cable and everything works fine now. The adapter was defective from the beginning... I'll return to the store where I bought it and try to get a refund or a replacement...

    Thanks for your help!

I decided to buy a satellite A100-147, but I would like confirmation that the WiFi adapter supports WPA - PSK encryption. I can't find confirmation anywhere. My guess is that he does, it's a recent machine, but I would be sure.

    Hello

I m not 100% sure what wireless network adapter has been installed on this unit but I think it might be to use an Intel Wireless 3945ABG card.

The Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG card supports WPA, WPA2, WPA - PSK encryption. I found this info on the Intel site. You should also check it.

But as I said above, I m not 100% sure about the Wlan card. To my knowledge, several series of laptops come with different hardware configuration. This means that different wireless network cards can be used in notebook.
