Laptop HP Stream: black screen at home

My home screen is black after I unlock my mobile and I can not see or I click on what anyone, that I can do to fix this?

Hello

Try this and let me know.

Boot the computer normally and log.

Black screen, hold down the ctrl and alt keys and press delete.

Select Task Manager.

At the bottom left, select details (if it is not already selected).

Click in the header of column Nsoul to organize the processes in alphabetical order.

Look for an entry called to run once Wrapper (RunOnce.exe) - If you see it listed, right-click on it and select end task.

The office is now show?

If this is the case, download Autoruns on the following link and save it in your downloads folder.

http://download.sysinternals.com/files/Autoruns.zip

When you have that, open your download folder, right-click on the folder zipped to Autoruns, select "extract all...". "and in the next window, click Extract.

A new window will open displaying the extracted content.  The application you must launch is the 2nd in the list (in format autoruns 636ko) but this by right clicking on it and selecting 'Run as administrator' -click 'Yes' to the uac prompt.

Scroll down the list until you find the entrance to RunOnce (it may well be 2 entries) and Remove the tick (s) in the box next to it.

Restart computer and see if it boots now on the desktop.

Kind regards

  • Beats Studio laptop 15-p089na: black screen of death

    We bought several of these models of laptop for our school. Many of them are met with a black screen at random death. Without warning, the screen goes black (with portable power and always on button). No amount of button pressing or click of the mouse will be reactive (continued) the screen. Nothing visible at all. The only solution is to hold down the power button, then start it again. If it was just a laptop, I think it was a fault. But with many do (once a fotnight of about), it makes me think that there is a major flaw with the model/software?

    No obvious trend (sometimes they run out of voltage of a battery, power, sometimes using MSWord, sometimes slow...)

  • Laptop with Vista black screen of death (KSOD) at startup. How can I fix it?

    For a few hours I have really searched the internet for this problem.

    To start, my Dell Inspiron 1521 supplied with Windows Vista Home Premium (just thought that might be important, apologies if it isn't.)

    A month ago my Inspiron had a problem where I would sign and everything works fine until the... I login and see that my normal wallpaper is now a blank screen, all my shortcut on my desktop icons are gone except for the good old bin recycling and the flashy chrome, taskbar and ORB blue Windows for the Start button has been completely reduced to a dull old menu like you would see on an earlier version of Windows to start Windows. When it happened first, he attaches magically by restarting it. The last time however, I was almost tempted to reformat my hard drive together to solve this problem, because the magic restart did not work this time. I finally found improvement and finally, he started to work again when I went in the area of network in my Start Menu and makes a sort of scanning that fixed my problems (the reason I did it was because I received a pop up when I logged indicating that the disk is not found or that the network was having problems (is not found etc, so I thought that the network in my Start Menu was where I should have started.)

    It was a month ago, it is not my problem now, but I thought that let you on that because I have the feeling that two problems is perhaps related, I felt that it would be unwise to leave something like that out.

    Now, just yesterday I closed my game (Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, high chart!) because he was turning slowly. Once I rebooted, the PC shows the Dell logo and then the Windows screen with the loading bar green scroll. After that, my PC was just a black screen with only my small cursor to entertain me while I waited for over 45 minutes so he can do something. Nothing happened, and it happened yesterday, I was still not able to reach my login screen.

    I have internet but I'm terrible with computers and the only progress I've done, it is that I learned that a lot of PC with Vista have this problem and it's called the KSOD (BlacK S Of Death creen). That's all

    So what I really wonder is... Can someone please explain to me how to solve this problem or what I should do... and there, explain it as if you were talking to a 6 year old? :)

    Try and do a system restore before your problem:

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Looks like you have had problems for some time, which makes it harder to diagnose.
    If you can't fix it, you could do a system recovery.
    But back UP all your data before trying that.
    Here's how Dell it:
    Dell recovery options:
    http://supportapj.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/DSN/en/document?journalid=67E9C215C4BABD6CE040AE0AB5E14F05&docid=339949
    It's way to Dell to reinstall from the DVD on your computer.
    Answer the questions in blue; It is in a sequence.
    And that way if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive.
    See you soon.
  • Inspiron 9400 laptop, Windows Vista, black screen with cursor, befor connection, safe mode works.
    Good then Ive internet scowerd to subject a houre read a lot of black screen of death without success problems.  Ive come to the conclusion that it is a unique problem.
    Inspiron 9400, Windows vista
    Problem: I'm catching up after startup, it does not show the vista logo but showed the loading bar, doesn't make it to the login screen. Instead shows the bright black screen with a cursor, the cursor moves freely. Ctrl-alt-del does not work, StickyKeys is sound but no visual. So we know that this abomination of windows load. We are now trying to startup repair. We know that the battery did not work because more than a year, the bios indicates there is no battery, I wonder what this block that says battery is lol.
    Whatcha got for me internet doesn't let me down.
    PS one of the dumbest moments of windows.
    Repair window said. May take a few minutes.
  • HP G60 laptop: black screen after sleep or hibernate Windows10
    Since upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10, the laptop displays a black screen after the sleep or hibernate modes.  The system seems to be commissioning (HDD, fan action), but no video.  The system boots normally cold trouble-free starting.  Never, there is this problem with Windows 7.
    Hi @Bobby876,
    Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!
    I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP G60 laptop and problems with the mode "sleep" after the update to Windows 10. I recommend to restore the default BIOS settings. You could restore the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. In this way, it will look at the hardware installed on your laptop.
    You can try:
    In Device Manager, click the arrow
    next to display adapters to expand this category
    Right-click on the graph, and then select Update driver software if more than 1 graphic adapter do 1 at a time.
    Select search automatically for updated driver software.
    The laptop must find and automatically install the updated driver
    Once the installation is complete, restart your laptop.
    You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!
    Please let me know how it goes.
    Thank you.
  • Black screen appears whenever I start the laptop.
    Last week whenever I start up my Dell laptop computer, a black screen appears. I asked someone who knew with PC and he thought that it a defective power adapter. I tried to use it on just battery, no luck. At out the battery and the adapter just tried, without success. Adapter again sold, but I will assume that the adapter is not the issue.
    Sometimes it lights for a few seconds, but the black screen appears quickly before you can do something like get online.
    I held a flashlight the monitor and the screen is almost pure... If you look closely enough. Windows has loaded and you can see the wallpaper.
    Does anyone has any idea what caused this and how to fix it. The laptop has been barely used... perhaps 6 months at the most.
    Not sure if related but all updates are underway, antirvirus installed and running whenever the PC starts. Malware program executes and returns its own.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially if it's something I can fix myself.
    Thank you
    Could be that the backlight of the lcd screen has failed. LCDs are sandwiches, with layer lcd sitting in front of a layer of back light. As you can see the Windows desktop without distinction when you look closely, the lcd layer seems to work like the graphics of the pc. Is the pc still under warranty - if so, take it back to the supplier.
  • Satellite Pro L450D black screen and will not respond to any keys
    Hello
    My niece has used his Toshiba L450D for almost a year now and he really liked it, who was until last month. She turned on her laptop and when she presses the button of the mouse, the button cracked and he fell into the laptop.
    Now my brother contacted Toshiba and I was told because it is under warranty it might return for repair because it was a common fault. Then he he packed in loads of air bubbles and a box to make sure it was safe.
    A few weeks later he came back repaired but we were all shocked that the laptop was put in a very loose box and you could hear this rattling noise. When we turned on the battery was flat and we had a new boot menu.
    As she installed it Windows 7 laptop would boot directly into Windows 7, but now after the repair of the laptop shows a menu black screen with as follows:
    + Windows 7 +.
    + Recover Windows to Factory Settings [active EMS] +.
    So we started in Windows and everything went well, but now after 5 or 10 or even 20 minutes, laptop displays a black screen and will not respond to keys or mouse movement. There is nothing on the screen its just black.
    I started in SafeMode (which was more difficult with the new menu) and it does the same thing. I even managed to do a virus scan quick who took 3-4 minutes and was clean.
    I would like some advice on what my niece is very angry, and it's difficult to explain what is happening to a child in the primary school.
    Any help would be grateful.
    Hello
    Have you tried the option of HARD drive recovery?
    If this is not the case, try to set the notebook back to factory settings using HARD drive recovery.
    Turn on the device, press F12, choose repair my computer, then select Toshiba HDD recovery.
    I hope it will work!
  • Satellite L775D-107 is not starting and black screen
    Hey
    I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite L775D-107 and I hope you can help me.
    Since yesterday, my laptop displays a black screen. When I push the Start button, nothing happens, but you can hear it is aired but nothing more. a few hours before that I was working on it to Uni and everything was fine.
    I had the same problem a couple of weeks, and I read on the internet that he could help out the battery for 3 minutes and then press F2 and the Start button. Nothing happened, but after 2 hours I tried to start again and all of a sudden it started correctly and worked flawlessly.
    .
    Now I'm having the same problem again and I tried the same procedure but still nothing happens. Always the black screen and just the sound of the air coming out...
    I've got very important documents in United on this laptop, so I hope you can help me.
    Thank you in advance.
    Hey
  • Black screen appears 2-3 min long on Satellite L850-F313
    I have problem with my laptop Satellite L850-F313, when I start my laptop computer, a black screen comes after Windows Welcome I see a black screen for 2 or 3 minutes until the desktop is displayed.
    I thought that the black screen comes from Microsoft issue but when I contacted them they told me that I have to check with Toshiba because this problem can be solved by Toshiba.
    Could you please help me?
    Could connect you an external monitor to the laptop and you could check if something would be seen on the external monitor?
    You said that after short time (2 / 3 minutes) the office would appear... Well, for me, it means that the system needs time to complete the start-up procedure.
    Without doubt, the question relates only to some of the problems of the system and so I might recommend to a Toshiba recovery procedure and to check the laptop functionality using the recovered expenses system.
    I don't know what windows system was preinstalled on this laptop, but usually you can use the recovery media created clean in order to start the recovery process, or you can use the recovery of HARD drive... process details should be described in the laptop user manual.
  • Y700, black screen of death
    Hi, I live in Macedonia and there is less than a month, I bought the laptop. Earlier when I tried to turn it on, the power led lights up, the battery is used but the hard disk light flashes about and monitor shows absolutely nothing, not even the logo. What the hell? I want my money if she already has problems!
    Hey, I managed to fix the issue - for now. I did allow the laptop sitting in black screen, which does not respond for an hour or two (did not keep track of) and then I hard reset (by pressing the power button until it turns off the phone). I turned on the computer laptop back and its functions have been restored to normal. It works normally now, I only hope that this never happens again. I kept the laptop disconnected at the same time and allowed the battery (to 38% when I turned the laptop back and was able to check how the battery was left).
