HpPavilion-g6-1394sa

Freezes on the windows logo during boot (windows 7).

Crashes when starting safe mode.

Crashes when you try to go into recovery tools.

Help please.

Hello

303 error code is a Smart failure for the tough and would indicate that it should be replaced.  This is also consistent with the startup problem you describe in your initial post.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the disk replaced - you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United Kingdom, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

If you are out of warranty and would like a guide to replacing the hard drive yourself, let me know.

Kind regards

Hi, I run windows XP Home Edition on my laptop, when I switch it on it boots until the windows logo and no more, can anyone help please.

I tried F11 to safemode etc but is still no more than the windows logo.

You must be repeatedly tapping / pressing the F8 key before Windows starts to load to access the Advanced Boot Options menu to see the Safe Mode options :)  Keep and tapped F8 until you see the Advanced Boot Options menu.

If you miss the niche F8 and XP starts to load, you missed it, and you have to start over.

  • How to solve a problem installation software re. the Windows logo test

I tried to install the sorftware for a new kodak printer and display a window pop up that tells me that the software did not test the windows logo and think I may need a device driver installed. Continue installation can compromise my operating system! I contacted kodak twice to try to resolve the problem, but they were not able to help. Any ideas?

I think maybe it's directx as the game tries to set up first, but it can also be the game itself. My computer handily meets all requirements and beyond for the use of the game to the quality maximux and my friend has on his XP service pack 2 computer. The game is also a game of 'Games for Windows PCDVD'. I need help with this ASAP because I set up a lan party developed on this game (he planned for weeks and built facilities of conquest of the whole of europe with a risk as the installer on table) and I can't seem to install which will forfiet me to participate in my own setup if I can find a way around the problem.

Is there a way to disable the "windows logo program" blocking me? If this is not the case, what can I do to get the game installed. I think that this "windows logo program" is an addition of SP3. Please help if you know what's happening, I don't want all this time spent planning for such a stupid thing to get lost.

    anesvet,
I'm going to sound like I'm repeating myself tonight... (see previous 4 posts...)  but try this:

When you start start pressing F8 until you get the Windows startup options.  Then try "Last known good configuration" see if that helps.  If this does not work, try to F * then try to go to Safe Mode.  If those who do not help, I would start with your XP CD to recovery mode and run "chkdsk/r" then "sfc/scannow".  QQ learn manage!

  • When I try to use the Dell reinstallation DVD Windows 7 Home premium SP1 64-bit, it crashes when is about to display the windows logo.

    Re-installing Dell inspiron 19 has windows 7

    People,

I have a Dell Inspiron 19. The Dell of Dell diagnostics disk utilities & drivers say all right. It is a Seagate 320 GB drive. I installed the drive on another computer and used sea tools to erase the disc.  Then I created a partition and marked as "bootable".

When I try to use the Dell reinstallation DVD Windows 7 Home premium SP1 64-bit, it crashes when is about to display the windows logo.  A few pixels logo show and then it's there.  Any ideas?  I worked on it for several days.  Really a "stumper" for me and I did something like that for years!

Original problem seems to be a massive viral infection (owner had no active antivirus software installation!) which led to the non-bootable computer.  After working on this for a while, I decided to just do again it.

Now, he gets to the Windows logo screen and will not get any further. I tried to repair windows startup and restore among other things. Previously, he was to reach the blue screen and would occasionally work by me it turn off and try again.

Restart your computer and hit F8 repeatedly (once a second should be enough) until you see the menu Advanced Startup Options. Select repair your computer (if this option does not appear you have to start from the Windows recovery disc or the installation disc).
Then select System Recovery Options and run the Startup Repair tool.

  • G62 screen remains black after the windows logo

    Hello

I have a HP G62-b05SD. I noticed that many people have the problem of simmular.

I know what makes, but don't know how to fix it.

    So here it is.

Sometimes when I boot / reboot system screen turns black after the windows logo, but if I wait a while, I do not hear the star tune up windows, but the screen remains black.

I noticed that this happens when I shut down or restart the system with a usb port (be it a mouse or a stick is not serious)

If I all out en usb port restart or turn on the machine for the first time this day here, everything starts well.

So there must be some driver problems I think with usb ports and the screen or something.

    Help, please!

    HP G62-b05SD

    Windows 7 64-bit

    Intel i3

    ATI mobility radeon graphics card

Ow and when I get the black screen, the hard reset does not always work.

I also did a startup repair and it showed:

"If you have recently attached a device to this computer as a camera or portable music player, remove it and restart your computer. If you continue to see this message bla... bla... bla... "

    I hope you can help.
