  I have been updated with Windows Update and asked to restart my PC after the installation is complete, however, my computer froze just at that moment, so I had to press the power button to force it to close. So I don't a not properly restart but forced my PC to stop and I have not a screen saying "Configuring updates" as usual (because there is no restart appropriate but just a forced to close). When I turned on my PC back, I thought that all updates have been lost or screwed up because I don't restart the PC correctly, however, instead, windows said it was "Configuring updates" (from 0% to 30%) and 30%, he said he has been stop and then rebooted my machine and these updates have been 100% configured/installed.

  So my question is, were all 100% installed as said windows updates or was it just a fake reviews? Because I forced my PC to stop rather than restart it when all updates to complete the installation.

  In addition, argues that all updates have been installed successfully in the "Installed updates" menu, too. Please let me know if it of a false notice or not.

• Problem: My computer hangs and does not restart after the installation of MS Update KB2479628.

  Tuesday February 11 I turned my hp Compaq nx7300 off I saw that she was installing updates I thought that nothing of what I had set to automatic updates. On Wedndesday that I have tried to re - turn on my laptop it installed updates. I got a black screen with white writing. The laptop then ran restoration of boot, but he was not able to repair itself and turns off. I tried to turn it back on a few times that I was in total disbelief that a MS Update would do this to my computer, it still does not.

  I tried to start the computer in safe mode, but it does not work.

  I tried to do a system restore but evertime I tried it there was an error, I tried all eight restore points but all back "an unspecified error occurred during system 0x800700b7 restore.

  "In restoration of start I clicked on ' view diagnostic and repair details" it said all tests have been performed with success, but at the bottom it says ' root cause found - boot critical file D:\Windows\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe is corrupt.

  I had to reinstall windows 7 pro three times so far and have now developed to the point that it is KB2479628 update of MS that is causing the problem. I the have not installed this time and have had updates to the manual

  What can I do about this problem, I spent at least 20 hours on this problem now, and looking for the many other forum of people seem to have similar problems. I'm worried that KB2479628 will settle by accident when I want to install some other updates?

  My computer laptop originally had Vista Business top but has been upgraded to Windows 7 32 bit, clean install, I use Microsoft Security Essentials, I've never had installed norton or macafee.

  When your computer is turned on, push and hold down F8, this will bring an option before it starts on your desktop. Choose "last known good configuration".
  If this has no effect. Then do the same thing, except choose Safe Mode. When it boots to desktop click Start > all programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore.

  Then it will give you an option to choose a date to return. Choose a date before you install updates, and then click OK. Restart your computer.

  Hi all! When I installed first SmartView, everything was ok - menu item "Hyperion" appeared in Excel and I have established the connection to planning and has worked with the data in Excel with success. Then, once I got to select all the data passing through Ctrl + A, in the form of data open in Excel and tried to copy it to a different worksheet in the same workbook, Excel threw a message about a serious error and informed me that the add-on of Hyperion would disappear. So it has been removed actually. When I reinstall Smart view, the installation went well but the menu item "Hyperion" did not appear in Excel again. I tried to reinstall Excel both SmartView and restarted the system several times, but still the Hyperion menu item does not appear in Excel. Can someone me hint on how to solve this problem? • Joined to a domain and an administrator remote after the installation of SP1, updated to 10 settings (clean install) then

  Wipe the hard disk, reformatted and did a clean install of OS7 home (fossoyées pro hoping group domain policies and etc. would not be a problem).  But they are still there. Reinstalled again.  I can't remove the files manually, give me permission. Loading guard who looks like a fake update file, but I can't delete that either.  I'm at my wits end.  I also have a problem with one of my Outlook email accounts, displaying a string of what looks like a key under my user name.  I have dealt with this for 2 months.  had my machine to two different local mechanics and nothing.  Even exchanged the motherboard and the drive.  How's it relate?  I do not even use the same key.  The only way he could do it is through my network connection. (Disabled Wifi too).

  I read something on the Panther Trojan and I do not have a file of Panther on my machine (which again, I can't delete).  I didn't even think that HOME version had this kind of remote administration and yet it moves it.   I have run 3 different programs of Virus Scan on it, reformat the drive twice (wiped to zero once), and used three different install media (three different versions of Windows. 0 s 7 home, pro and pro OS7 OS10 (7 pro is what I was running when this began).)  Again, it is after that I paid two services of different repair to diagnose, pull the wireless network card, replace the motherboard and replace the disk.  After that I freaked out on them they began to throw the installation discs and Home keys. lol seriously, I might as well throw my money down a hole. (the key I've finally pulled the machine isn't that I've never owned?) I guess that's why I'm trying so hard to get pure installed, I already so much money in it.  I should probably just give up and load Linux.

  You are able to reboot your device in SafeMode as shown in KB17877?

  I guess, because it is taken in a reboot cycle, when you connect to the desktop software it does not have a stable connection to reinstall your software?

  If this is the case, remove the battery and keep it off when you connect to the desktop software. You will get a pop up that the device cannot connect and there should be buttons retry, update and cancel. Select Update and you will then be able to reinstall the latest version of the device software.

  When the load progresses, you will see a step that says "waiting for initialization of the devices '. At this point, insert the battery and recharging must complete.

• Pavilion 17-g192nr: error when restarting after the installation of Trend Micro

  I have a Pavilion new with Core i7 and SSD hard drive processor.  When I install Trend Micro and reboot the machine, it does not restart Windows.  Stops at a screen that says he can't restart windows and the only thing I can do is to set the machine to the point of most recent refresh has no installed trend.

  @WAWood is right: we cannot debug your security software.

  All things being equal - if you can't find something substantive, check / consider:

  Find your software Trend services > right click on the program / service > properties >

  If it is available for this program, set the update automatic "Delayed."

  In some cases, delay the start of the security software can give other essential Windows services a chance to start and "go" before security settings stomp on them.

  I have IBM laptop computer a customer T61, Vista Home Premium. Starts and goes to the "Configuring updates 3 of 3, then it goes to"shutting down"and keeps restarting."

  I tried safe mode, last good, from CD and repair of Windows, nothing worked.

  Any ideas on what else to do only a reinstall full?

• 10.8.3 OSX don't rest not in mode "sleep" after the installation of the wireless HP4620 printer

  I installed the HP4620 wireless printer, now OSX you waking up from his sleep after about 15 minutes, it didn't happen until I installed the HP4620.  So I opened a terminal and did a search for why the printer wakes up, the result was:

  Wake up the reason: GLAN HDEF EHC2

  I couldn't find any information about it, so I turned off and unplugged the printer, then turn on the computer sleep (which "now takes about a minute to sleep), now OSX wakes up after 45 minutes. So with the printer off and it's wake up yet, I think it must be something to do with the HP software installed?

  Does anyone else have this problem?  Any suggestions to correct sleep would be appreciated.

  Thanks for the reply but reset the SMC did not work, I have reinstaled 10.8.3 OSX then the printer and sleep works again.  Forgot to mention, I am running a Hackintosh on a Gigabyte H77N-wifi Board but never had any problems with sleep or HP printers, it not was not up to what I have installed the HP4620 sleep has become is down with insomnia.
