I started to notice that my laptop power connection has been a little lost; a little later, I needed to play a bit with the connection so that the power would not disconnect; now, it seems that something got completely lost inside the connector and I get no power in my laptop.  How can I get this connector and replace or tighten?  I already tried to open the lid, but did not see an easy way to access it.  Thank you very much for your suggestions.

  • My laptop seems to be folded at the beginning

    Hello

Something I noticed when I started to use my ultrabook: if I place it on my desk / another table, he seems wobbly. The front left side seems to be hovering in the air, about 1 mm from the surface of my desk. I checked all the rubber below thingies and they are always there and properly set, so what can I do to stop hopping? I rather not remove one of the rubber thingies because I fear that will cause scratches on the bottom, when I move my ultrabook.

Outside of my ultrabook is wobbly, I love him, but hopping is more annoying since I use my ultrabook all the time when, in lectures or writing tests of lawschool. You have a simple solution, like a larger rubber thingie I place below?

    Hi Marlinde

How much time do you have your laptop? Try to contact your local dealer, explain the situation and ask if you can get the replacement. Maybe this should be the first step for you.

What do you think about this?

  • Tecra S3: Laptop stops due to overheating

Whenenver I run processes of CPU on my laptop, computer base and the table heat sanctioned and the laptop stops without warning after a while.

    What can I do?

    Hi Kersten

May I ask how long do you use this laptop? This issue was in the past?
Mainly of overheating problems occur and are present because don t cooling modules work correctly the dust and debris inside the laptop keeps fans of rotation full implementation, this increases the temperature at the critical level and the laptop stops automatically to prevent the equipment from damage.

So in these cases, it s advisable to check the cooling modules and clean it. Vacuuming may help, but be careful that such procedure could damage the fans!
Then maybe you'll ask a technician or a service partner Toshiba for assistance and a professional cleaning

    Good luck

  • Computer laptop closed? Fan overheating?

    Hi all.

I have read many topics on this forum about on any laptop fan not working not, laptop computer overheating or the laptop apparently randomly stopping.

I had this problem for about three months. I tried supporting the laptop so the fan (stupidly positioned in the middle of the base of the laptop!) could get air. He was not arrested, but it was ridiculous to have to raise my laptop everywhere wherever I was going, and fan was also ridiculously strong.

I took my laptop to a doctor and it turns out that there was a fault with the chip on the motherboard that controls the fan. It caused the fan not work properly, causing overheating and computer laptop closed.

I set myself and my laptop is now nice and quiet and I don't have to support it and it is not closed.

Sorry if this is bad news! Hope you can get your laptop fixed!

Bad news. Anyway thanks for the info.

  • Clubhouse dv6: the battery on my laptop seems rather useless

I had this problem for quite a while. I have to keep my laptop connected to the charger ALL THE TIME. As soon as I unplug it, the battery level falls to about 11% and then stops immediately in the next minutes.

Should I replace the battery? I live in Bangladesh and I can't seem to get the region HP support.

The most likely thing is that the battery must be replaced. 2 years on how long they last and if it's the original battery, this model is actually a little more than 2 years.

  • Laptop seems to kill Internet connection

I have a problem with my laptop computer/Internet connection who suddenly began to occur during the last two weeks. In fact, whenever I turn on my laptop the internet connection in my house goes down.

All the lights on my router show green and good to go... until I turn on my laptop. Immediately the Green turns red? I tried to disable the Wi - fi and direct ethernet cable connection, but the same thing happens.

If I use my work laptop or if my use of the girlfriend of Siena, then fine. If one of them is enabled and works very well and I turn on phone said... everyone loses the connection.

If this was happening to all that tries to connect then I could understand and put it down to the provider, but it seems to have something against my specific laptop One!

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum.

I understand you have questions using the computer with the internet connection.

But I would like to know some more information on this issue to help you better.

You did it all changes prior to this issue?

In the meantime, please follow the following suggestions to solve the problem.

Method 1: First of all, try to diagnose and repair network problems by performing the Troubleshoot utility mentioned below.

Using the troubleshooter from network in Windows 7

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

Method 2: I wish that you start the computer in safe mode with network and then try to connect to the internet and see if that helps. See the link to start in safe mode.

Advanced (including the safe mode with networking) startup options.

  • Connection between the monitor and the Studio 1458 laptop seems broken

After happily using my Dell Studio 1458 for a little over a year, all of a sudden my laptop screen went completely blank (not black, but a sort of grey empty) when I started yesterday. I have reset several times, I let it run and I heard the sounds of standard Windows startup. Since I assumed the laptop worked again very well, and I plugged an external monitor. I am now using the laptop with this external monitor and everything except the monitor to the laptop works very well.

I can still go to "change screen resolution" and see the laptop screen correctly detected by Windows. I can turn it on by selecting "extend these screens. I can also change the screen resolution on the laptop screen. It's the same kind of gray white whatever I do. Of all this I conclude, there is nothing wrong with the drivers: the more likely culprit seems to be the link between the laptop and the screen of the laptop. Unfortunately I ran out of warranty three weeks ago so I don't know what are my options here. I started to disassemble the laptop to see if maybe I could plug a cable loose once more, but I got cold feet at halfway when I remembered that I had saved not properly all my files.

Any ideas on how should I proceed?

    Thank you

    Johannes

This would mean it's time to start trying new parts - cable first.  If that does nothing, try a new inverter (if the screen is CCFL).  If it's backlit by LEDS, try a new screen.

  • my laptop seems to have burst. The screen is black and it is not connected to the internet, bu it's on

The laptop would go sometimes dark, I would slap the mouse pad and it would come - it was a few months ago. In recent weeks it went dark while listening to something on the internet, I have to stop it for a few minutes, but he could return and sometimes come back by touching the mouse pad. The days he did it more often, and now he won't even after leaving it out overnight. It's as if he didn't want to be used for many hours a day. The internet light would not come and I hear it run slowly. I bought a supply of malware from the Web to a 'partner' sites (not me remember not the company name =------, on May 24, 2012, and that they were supposed to provide technical support for 2 or 3 years.) However, if I can't see the screen, I can't use them.

  • my laptop seems to be running slow after downloading stuff today

OK I am trying to get my computer to run faster and the Windows Help and support told me stuff to do. The things that I was told to do was go to my windows defender and disable programs that start as soon as I turn on my laptop. Now, the only one I could even turn off was that I downloaded today and it is Windows Live Messenger. But my question is if its disabled will still be able to click on it when I'm ready to use it?

When I got my laptop it came with Windows Vista, but today, I downloaded Microsoft Office and Home 2010 (60 days free trail) which was also told to download Microsoft Live (who is the Messenger and keep contact with all my social networks in one place, allows you to put all your e-mail accounts in one place.) So please help I did mess up BAD

    Hi StormieAiken,

Disable Windows Defender startup items does not affect the use of the programs.

You can always access it by clicking on the start menu, and later pointing to the program.

How to disable programs that run when you start Windows XP Home Edition or Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/270035

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

  • have a new dell inspiron laptop. seems to me the battery runs down too fast.

battery does not last very long. maybe 10 minutes of operating time. Then says low battery.

10 minutes is certainly not long enough.  Since your laptop is new, it's under warranty so I would contact Dell or the one that you bought it from for a replacement battery.

    Good luck.
