laptop of HP 2000 stops randomly

I recently got this computer in Black Friday at walmart. It's to add to $178. Of course, it was a bad deal, because it will randomly stopped. I searched for hp.com support and he repeated that it was probably the fact that the items were too hot, because of blocked fans or not enough air for the motherboard.

It has nothing to do with it. I had this Thursday (28/11/13), and it is a week. There is no dust that blocks the fan wheel and the computer is not hot at all. It stops just at random.

If I turn it back on, he can stay on, or decide to immediately turn off again. I have a clean mind.

I would be recognizing some support, or instructions for this problem

Thank you

The laptop is under warranty. I doubt, there is nothing we can do to fix it through the Forum. I suggest that you call HP directly and make a claim.

    Hello

Just a question: are you an authorized service provider?
I ask this question because it looks like you are an ASP because you have so many laptops and you have tested different things.

It's really hard to say what the reason is for this but I think that in this case, you should contact Toshiba directly. Maybe it s a known issue and it can be fixed in a few minutes.
So ask for it and wait for a response.

    Hello tianana8,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft answers Forum.

I have a few questions to better assist us in troubleshooting your random close problem on your laptop.

Which version of Windows Vista you have? You're on SP1?
Your laptop is overheating? It takes a while before it comes back to the top?
    You have error messages?
What is your management plan for power laptop?
You have Hibernate enabled on your laptop?

Click Start, Control Panel, click reports on the problems and Solutions. When it appears, click the left pane for
View the history of the problem. See if there are any problems listed there. You can double-click a question and there is
an option for pasting in the Clipboard. You can then paste the questions in your answer.

It could be a hardware problem, so it would be wise to have the drivers on your system avaiable.

    Hi Diana,

1 are there any changes or updates made on the computer?

    2. do you get an error message? If Yes, what is the full and exact error message?

    3. do you get a blue error screen?

    Step 1:

I suggest you to disable the auto restart to avoid unwanted restarts on the failure of the system and note the error message.

    a. when your computer starts up keep press F8 on your keyboard until you get the Advanced Boot Options screen.
    b. now, use the arrow keys, select disable automatic system error reboot and press ENTER.

  • Stop randomly Qosmio X 770 - 138

Hi guys, just bought my new Qosmio X 770-138 a week ago and everything seemed fine until he began to stop randomly. It is not proper closures, just boom--off.

Now, I can tell you that it it does NOT heat related, it happens that when I'm idling the CPU temperature is around 40-45 degrees Celsius, so I ruled that out of the "education".

It never happened when I run games high performance that makes the temperature spikes CPU to max 60 degrees celsius.

Now, I tried to use Reeltime "turn back time" to a precedent that date, it has not stopped, that it worked fine for a day, then he began to close again.

Now I've just updated the BIOS and the nVIDIA and INTEL video drivers and it has not closed for about an hour, but I don't think I'm in the clear yet.

No one knows what causes these kinds of closures? I have F-SECURE protection from virus/spyware and firewall which is true, so I should be relatively well protected against the bad guys.

Thanks in advance for any help! :)

    > Now I've just updated the BIOS and the nVIDIA and INTEL video drivers and it has not closed for about an hour, but I don't think I'm in the clear yet.

And now? The laptop works stable? Has he stopped after you apply updates?
It is possible that some driver compatibility problem caused these cases
However, use Notepad for a longer period of time and the report that the results would be interesting to know how it works.

  • Satellite A665-11z starts to load then stops randomly

    Hi all

I bought this second hand Toshiba A665-11z to see that when I'm connected to the PSU, the dough starts to load and then stops randomly load... after a few seconds he could come back, and sometimes it just stops loading completely.

When this is the case of the power button turns off, as well as on top of the touch pad.

The lights on the front of the laptop navigate whites for POWER supply, off for walking and pink flashes for the battery. The backlit keyboard turns off too and will not continue until the load is back.

Once I started typing this post he disconnected fresh form, I reconnected it and now it is not happened again.

The original operating system was Windows Home Edition premium 32-bit, but this lappy is bundled with 4 GB of RAM so the previous owner installed a licensed version of WIn 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

I've updated all the drivers and BIOS is 2.20

    Help please

    Hello

    > I've updated all the drivers and BIOS is 2.20

There is a new BIOS 2.40, which must be updated

  • Satellite A200 - stop randomly

    Hello

My laptop Toshiba Satellite A200 will stop randomly. First I thought, that the CPU is overheating, but its temperature is 50 degrees (Celsius), and it is good (I also change the fan). But my ATI radeon HD2600 graphics card has 50 degrees too and that's a too high temperature for nothing to do.

Where could be the problem? What is the temperature of my gpu of closing?

    Thank you

Sometimes when I turn on my computer, the temperature of the GPU is only 30 degrees
I have a dualboot XP and Windows 7. When I turn on XP, the computer shuts down when booting, when I turn on Windows 7, it's not stop immediately

    Hey,.

    > First I thought, that the CPU is overheating, but his temperature is 50 degrees (Celsius)
    How to measure the temperature?
As much as I know there is no formal program of Toshiba to check the temperature, and the 3rd party tools can show wrong temperatures.

    > But my ATI radeon HD2600 graphics card has 50 degrees too and that's a too high temperature for nothing to do.
Who said that 50 ° C is too high for the GPU? In my opinion it s normal and ok, it won't be a problem.

In your case, I would follow the instructsions here:
[How to clean a Toshiba laptop cooling system? | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=40]

Theoretically it could also be possible that the thermal grease is too old and should be replaced. This can be done from an authorized service provider.

  • Satellite A200 (PSAE3E) - stops randomly

    Hi all!

I got an A200 PSAE3E in my possession which stops randomly. He really died the hard way. I have excluded a software problem, because even this wenn waiting for PXE, so no start-up of the drive HARD or another device...

The only idea I have left is to Flash the BIOS to get it to work again properly as I thought it might have something to do with faulty breaks? Or anything that leaves the BIOS to be originally...
When he is not the BIOS, then the motherboard itself must be faulty which leaves me only one option: throw this piece :-D

    * Up to now, the real question: how Flash BIOS without using an operating system like Windows? Is it a kind of combination of button I can press start so he can a BIOS file from a USB flash? *

    Help would be very appreciated.

    Hi medis,.

Without an operating system it s not possible to update the BIOS. All updates of BIOS provided on the official website of Toshiba are windows, depending on whether you need an operating system running up-to-date BIOS.

To be honest I have don t think that the BIOS is the reason for this

The laptop is overheating or hardware malfunction s motherboard or the CPU

If it s just an overheating issue you can solve the problem yourself by cleaning radiator with a jet of compressed air to blow the dust from the cooling fans.
If it doesn t help you need professional help of an authorized service provider. Guys have professional tools to make an accurate diagnosis of your laptop, so they can tell you what to do in this case.

  • Stop random Satellite P105-S6004

I've had my laptop for over a year now and its been send me questions since I got it. I had the hard drive replaced by toshiba, while it was under warranty too. But from this stop randomly, it's 'new' its not covered.

In any case, I ran dianostics etc and nothing seems to be wrong, but the laptop stops randomly without any warning. Now, he USED to blue screen, but perhaps his tired to do this more?

I have a laptop cooling pad, and I cleaned inside the computer, etc. Nothing seems to be a problem with the RAM or the fan. So I'm not sure what I need to do, then take it somewhere. Any help would be appreciated!

    -Lindsay

    Hello

are you sure there is no third party pre-installed software on your laptop that can be responsible for the blue screen or stop the down?

It is not easy to say why this happen because the blue screen can be the result of software and hardware problems.

  • HP DV7-6c90us stops randomly.

Thus, recently my laptop started to turn off randomly while I was games, I assumed that it was the graphics card, so I tried to use the intel hd graphics and disable the amd hd graphics card to see if that would solve the question, however, it happened again. One thing I noticed is that now when I disable the graphics card resolution that is odd and letters will be not as clear, I guess that means, that it is perhaps a motherboard problem.
I went to thought, that it was overheating due to a fan problem, I bought a new thermal module for it and the same thing happens again.
I did the reset procedure (removed the battery and ac, you press the power button for 60secs) and it happened again. I tried with a new battery and charger, same thing happens again.
Lately, he's not just everything at stake, it will randomly stop and once it does, sometimes it will stop again and again before it begins, after a while may start or may stop again.
It's really random, and I can't find a model, Please HELP!

So I did a redesign or on the motherboard and so far, it has worked very well. I did everything I could think of, and he has not stopped. I had already tried your suggestions and they didn't work. Thanks for the suggestions, however.

  • Sony Vaio Pro stops randomly when power adapter is not plugged in

Hello. I have a Vaio Pro and whenever I don't have a power adapter is plugged in, it stops randomly at different time intervals. Before going off, I'd like to see sometimes the screen flashes a few times, indicating that it goes off.

I tried the battery on the bottom reset button, but that didn't seem to work. I tried a full system restore and it does not solve my problem either. My Vaio Care shows that my battery is in excellent condition.

    Hi NamN,

Since you already reset the laptop but the problem persists, it is already an indication of a hardware problem. Please check you the bec Inbox later I'll send you a private message on what to do next.

  • Pavilion dv7: Pavilion dv7 stops randomly

I have a somewhat old Pavilion and begins 3 days ago, it began to stop randomly. The average time it works is about 5 minutes. I thought it was because it was overheating, so I had cleaned the vents, am a pad cooling and try see if she resist longer in an air-conditioned room, but she always stops.

    Keelay wrote:

Is there anything else I can do if it is still hot?

Far beyond cleaning and her reapply thermal paste there is not much but I raise the back side of the laptop and try that and see if the thermal overload is lower if that's the case, then, it would be the fix, that you use to keep it from overheating. And if you sell the computer based AMD mobile processor and get a processor iNtel based they do better in temperature as opposed to AMD processors and will cost more but more value.

Wait until the Mac stops unexpectedly, and then check your system.log file to identify the numeric code associated with the stop. Read below.

Locate the Console application - it is located in your utilities folder and looks like this

You can find it by selecting utilities in the Finder go menu.

    Open the Console.

If the list of newspapers on the left column is not already displayed, view journal list by selecting view list of newspapers on display menu of the Console.

Locate system.log in the list, and then select it. Many date and time-stamped entries will appear, hundreds of them, and you need to find the relevant entries to your Mac problem.

Do that type the word cause stop in the field filter on the top right of the Console window.

Who will do all the log entries be hidden, except for entries that contain these words. There will be a numeric code associated with the entry of journal from «Cause of previous stop» What is this code?
