Laptop says 0% available PLUGGED, NOT supported

I have a dell inspiron 1525, it's like two years old, I think. He has this problem that seem to have a lot of other people. I looked everywhere. The problem does not appear to ask the brand because it happened to Toshibas, valleys and other types of laptops. More often (almost exclusively) in Windows Vista. I recently bought a new charger and adapter, and the problem started almost a month later. I highly doubt that it is the new charger because it happened to a lot of NEW laptops, with very few months to have been bought. I tried to uninstall the Microsoft ACPI method compatible battery control. But nothing. I still have to try something else, but I'm afraid to mess with my laptop because I have no money right now to buy a new one and I need it for school. I tried to seek solutions and to see how they worked for other people but not one solution works for anyone. I don't want to spend money on buying a new charger and battery or a new laptop if there is chance, it happens again. Please, if there is a really good solution that actually worked, tell me. Seriously, I think the problem is on Windows Vista.

Hi James,

Well, I don't know what steps you have taken to try to resolve the problem.

My battery stopped charging. For four days, the power button says "59% available (plugged in, does not support)."

How can I get the computer to start the battery again?

The battery is probably faulty. You can say as follows:

    1. Shut down Windows.
    2. Remove the battery.
    3. Wait an hour.
    4. The power supply is cold? If Yes, then the laptop consumes no power (which is normal).
    5. Insert the battery.
    6. Wait an hour.
    7. The power supply is hot? If so, the battery is recharged.
    8. Start normally and check the charge level. If she's still around 59% while the battery no longer accepts the full load. You need to replace it.

  • Battery / plugged not supported

OK, so I have a pavilion laptop dv6838nr.  Ive had now for about 2 years or more and no problems so far.  I can reboot my computer for about 5-10 minutes, then to which the battery indicator is on your desktop he says "plugged not supported" and it won't load again until I turn off my laptop and back, but it will still only last about 5 minutes.  So I thought it was my battery, but I wanted to make sure that if I took out the battery and plugged my power adapter and it worked fine for about 5 minutes then it turns off.  So I don't think that its my battery, there must be something with vista maybe idk.  Any ideas? Thank you!

Test the hard drive and memory in F10-

The HD may be originally to stop as well.

If this succeeds, then it may be your system board unfortunately.

  • Help! = (Battery plugged not supported.

I have a windows vista home basic laptop, its almost 2 years now and the problem that says battery plugged not supported lasted for about 3 days. I tried the restore point but it did not help, run scans, updates and even tried to make a backup, but it were not all there. He fled the cord but does not load, and is now in the rite of 1%. I've never had a problem of p with the battery before so I don't think that its because of this. Is there something im not doing rite or need to do to fix this? Please I need help to solve this problem.

Looks like your battery is dead (or dying or defective) - this is what happened to mine when he died and I had to buy a replacement (about $150, but yours may be different).  Although systems may come with guarantees of 4-5 years, this excludes the battery, which usually comes with a 1 year warranty (if there is long).  Batteries die.  You need to replace it with one that fits and is correctly powered and connected (which means probably get the replacement from the manufacturer of the computer).

    I hope this helps.

  • How can I get Nitro PC installed properly, so it does not say that he may not support a file or a codec required that it blocks and other problems.

How can I get Nitro PC installed properly, so it does not say that he may not support a file or the required codec, which it does in Windows Media Player, everything seems to go through there and Nitro prevents me from opening photos or electronic-mail/transfer their. Also, what are the appropriate programs to run files in the documents library and photos. recently, I lost all my documents, the files are there but now empty. It happened a little while before had spoken, by buying the GoFlex Seagate plug of iYogi I was stupid enough to buy their storys. Now that I told them that I used to pay $ 400 to renew my contract, which has more than a year and a half left in this regard that they were still treat me worse than ever. I even bought a program that is supposed to protect your bank account, but only have a debit card which they protect not only credit cards, it was not even mentioned in the contract or the sales pitch. The Seagate GoFlex is sitting here unplugged after that they could not challenge or whatever it is to recover after at least 4 attempts. Brief this cowboy got scalped, but if I can get the Nitro to block all my stuff I would be off to a good start to correct things. Also, I had a printer that was supposed to be a fax with all sorts of other gadgets they had me plug with a wire and wireless and never had to use the fax once and continue receiving invalid messages when I try to put in place something like snapfish, which seems to be an automatic link to my set of requirements. I'm lost.

  • Why when I run the installer for Windows 8 consumer preview on my computer of Windows XP Home Edition he says: "this platform is not supported"?

Setup of Windows 8 consumer priview

Why when I run the installer for Windows 8 consumer preview on my computer of Windows XP Home Edition he says: "this platform is not supported"?

You can see this message if you downloaded Windows 8 64-bit and XP 32-bit. To start the installation of Windows 8, you will need to restart and boot from the installation of Windows 8 media.

If you want to keep your current installation of Windows, you can install it on a separate partition and dual boot with the Windows 8 Preview of consumer. To install on a separate partition and dual boot, you must create and boot from the installation media.

    (1) first you will need a free partition on hard drive - if you do not you can shrink a partition and create a new one to install Windows 8 Preview of consumer on.
To reduce a partition and add a new one that you can use EASEUS Partition Master (free):
    http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm

    (2) to install on a separate disk, you can perform an installation DVD or USB key, then boot from it so you can choose the other partition. To download the ISO file and install media:
Download Windows 8 consumer Preview ISO:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/ISO
After you download the ISO file - use the Windows USB/DVD Download tool to install media:
    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

    (3) installation on a separate partition for dual boot:
1 make a DVD or USB installation drive - to see the two options above.
    2. start from the DVD or USB install drive and click on install when prompted.
    3. during the installation process, when asked - choose a custom installation.
    4. Select a free partition on the hard disk to install Windows 8 Preview of consumer - this will install Windows 8 on a separate instead of your current Windows partition partition.
    5 continue with the installation.

    First of all please note:
1 consumer preview Windows 8 is a pre-release and will only work for a limited time - when it expires, you need to remove it.
    2. the overview of consumption is stable and has been tested, but it s not the finished product. Your PC may crash and you may lose important files. You should backup your data and you shouldn't test Windows 8 Preview of consumers on your primary home or business PC.
    3. If you install the preview of consumption on the Windows partition is currently installed, you cannot uninstall the preview of consumption. To return to your previous version of Windows, you will need to reinstall from the recovery or installation media supplied with your PC.
    4. in addition to dual boot, here are a few methods to install Windows 8 Preview of consumers without affecting your current installation of Windows:
    (A) remove your current hard drive and install the Preview of consumers on a spare drive.
    (B) install it on a spare computer.
    (C) install the Preview of consumer in a virtual machine.
