  The default LAN IP of the WAG subnet is 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 belongs to 192.168.0.0/255.255.0.0. This means that 192.168.1.0 IP addresses exist side WAN and LAN of the WAG. What makes this configuration completely cannot be routed.

  Change the address LAN IP of the WAG to an IP outside the corporate network, for example using IP addresses private 172.16/12, for example to set the address LAN IP 172.16.1.1 with 255.255.255.0 subnet mask.

  Connect the modem to the Internet port and the computer and port Ethernet 1 of the router.

  In general, you don't want to have a check in the box "enable TCP/IP filtering.  Try to uncheck this box and see if it helps.

  OK, so I have problems with my computer (model Emachine) and ended up having to reinstall windows vista. Windows works fine, even if I can't connect to the internet, because it does not recognize my modem, or my modem is suddenly not there. I am also running switched.   I have a lenovo laptop with windows 7 Home Edition on it, whenever I have a system restore I have following problem with network connection.

  • WiFi: the problem with the Wi - Fi connection is it says it has limited connection to the internet, the system receives a valid ip address of modem/router (DHCP). But system is unable to ping the address of the router (gateway address), similarly it cannot ping localhost or 127.0.0.1. It says general failure. Then I try to give the IP address manually on the wireless card, but I have the same problems
  • Wired: when I turn off the wireless connection and want to connect to the laptop via a network cable to the router I have the same problem, it cannot ping the localhost or 127.0.0.1.

  I tried the following, but it didn't work.

  • ipconfig enough and ipconfig/renew
  • Flushing the DNS system
  • netsh winsock reset all.
  • netsh int ip reset all.

  I saw several online forums, but couldn't find the solution to this problem, the only solution is to restore the system to factory setting, and then it works. Wired and wireless network works fine
