  You can use an installed antivirus or conflicts occur

  Well, try an another factory USB hub, I had good success with USB hubs powered from Belkin.

  Question... are the hubs help powered or are bus powered USB? They are bus powered USB is your problem, the USB ports on iMac didn't supply enough power to power bus-powered USB hubs.

  Have you checked if it stops when the charger is connected?

  This could be a hardware problem with the battery and we need to insulate it properly. In the meantime, please try a hard reset first. Steps to follow:

  • Turn off the computer and unplug the charger. Then remove the battery only if it is removable.
  • Press and hold the power button on the unit for 15 seconds to carry out the static electrical charges inside the machine.
  • Replace the battery and the charger plug it back.

  OK if everything works before I would say that your Chair plastic causing an electrostatic discharge and it is going through your computer and causing spikes and he thinks that there is a surge and causing it to stop.
