  You can try the following and link methods under each method for more information on the same and see if one of them solve the problem.

  Method 1: Start the computer in last good known Configuration

   

  1. Remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.

  Click the button start , click the arrow next to the button lock , then click on restart.

  1. Do one of the following:

  ·         If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

  ·         If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start, and then press F8.

  1. In the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select last good known Configuration and press ENTER.
  2. If your computer has multiple operating systems installed, use the arrow keys to select the operating system that you want to start using the last good known Configuration, and then press ENTER. Windows will then resume starting normally.

  When your computer is in safe mode, you'll see the words Safe Mode in the corners of the screen. To leave safe mode, restart your computer and let Windows start normally.

  If time was recently cancelled, you can go to your control panel:
  Panel-> data and time-zone (tab) >
  and uncheck the "automatically adjust clock for daylight saving time.

  Otherwise, you probably need to adjust your zone settings on your computer using Microsoft time zone Editor.

  I think that the PDF file association is not correct. Instead of a double click on the file to open it, please try below mentioned

  1. Right-click on the file and select open with...
  2. Select Choose default program
  3. Select Adobe Reader from the list (if it is not in the list, and then navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader, then select AcroRd32.exe)
  4. Don't forget to check the box "always use the selected program to open this type of file."
  5. Click ok

  Ideas: I use a Gateway laptop with vista Home premium sp 2, AMD turion x 2 dual core x 64 bit, fitted an ATI HD 3200 graphics card. (The card is built-in.)   • What you have already tried to solve the problem: compatibility, analysis antivirus, cleaning Mode, running in as long as administrator, disabling firewall, protection against viruses, disabling the registry Disabling UAC, each administrator, update drivers for graphics card, system update, reinstall everything THAT I can think of who could fix this problem.
  • NOTE: I ran these games on another computer and they work fine. A solution to this issue has completely escaped me.

  Have you tried to reinstall or update your directX? or your visual c ++ Redistributable files? Sometimes, if this stuff is corrupted (and you won't know until you start a game generally because it stops working) and you need to reinstall such things.

  I have a laptop running Windows Vista 64 bit and I recently tried to install a new update. However, when I stopped him, he would tell me it was installing the update and freeze it.   UPDATE: TrustedInstaller.exe, which is required for updates, is not running in normal mode, even if I set it automatically runs in the characteristics. I tried to activate it, but needed admin access. If I could get into the elevated command prompt, I should be able to start. However, I don't know if this is possible under Vista. Does anyone know if the RUNAS command can be used at the command prompt to get administrator access?
