  Customer tries to copy a large file from a server in a local virtual IPS protected to a host in one vlan unprotected network IPS and the copy fails if file is greater than any 2Gbytes in size.   Copying large files (about 5-10 GB) between USB or Firewire drive stucks the PC. It goes up to 50% then slows down and there is no possibility to do anything, including cancel them the task or open the browser or a Manager task or WIn Explorer.

  This only happens with Windows 7 64 bit, no problem with Windows 7 32 bit (same external hardware). No problem when copying between disc internal PC.

  Have you also tried the same thing with the version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba?

  I always use the version preinstalled Windows of Toshiba and never had any problems with it. I have some software that I need not remove it as a trial version of the office, etc.

  So to use the Toshiba recovery disc and test it again.

  If the problem occurs only with a Windows installation only, it s seems to be related to the driver or the software.

• Corruption in large file copy to USB - Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1

  I have seen other people have reported this problem, but I have not found an answer.

  When I copy large files (1 GB +) from one hard disk to another (connected to the same computer), and the destination hard disk is on a port USB3 (also maybe USB2), sometimes the file is damaged somewhere towards the end.  Usually, the copy is fine for 60 to 80% of the length but the rest seems so be given totally random.
  If I copy the file even over and over again between the same two discs, usually, I keep getting corrupted copies (but not in the same place).
  If I copied the files to a different destination drive, usually the problem goes away.
  I tried to use the command COPY to command prompt, same problem.
  I tried putting the drive source on a USB2 port, so the copy goes much slower, still get corruption.
  I ran a test of the RAM for 6 hours with no problems found.
  I tried to run a "Linux" operating system on the same computer with drives connected to the same ports, and copies were all good!  But much more slow (about 30 MB/sec instead of 100 MB/s).
  Because Windows checks the accuracy of copy of file, it would be a big problem, even if it is not reproducible - but since it is "all the time" and "over and over" with the same files, it's all just crazy!
  I have another question strange memory.  I have two 4 GB DRAM sticks in my computer, but the properties shows my memory as:
  "GB 8.00 installed (3.98 GB usable)" and right it says "64-bit operating system" - so why can't we use half of my memory?
  Processor: AMD FX-6100 3.3 GHz not overclocked-card mother ASRock 990FX Extreme 4
  Note that I have no problem with other programs of writing large files on the same hard drive, for example the output of a video editing software has no problem.

  I THINK I FOUND THE PROBLEM!

  This is the X - Fast USB program supplied with the motherboard ASROCK.
  If you have X-Fast USB running (and you know), UNINSTALL IT, reboot and this problem may disappear.  So if please contact ASRock and let them know that their program is ruining your life.

  I downloaded some pictures of the artwork for a brochure several weeks ago. My customers love them. When I try to buy images, I get the following error on the license is only not available. (see attachment) So I keep looking and get the same error on several new images.

  Found the solution. Just had to sign out of Adobe's Stock and to resign in. All back to normal!

  I had a similar error.  This seems to be a function of the indexing of offline files when you synchronize a large number of files.  By temporarily disabling indexing of offline files, you can synchronize all your files and then re - activate the indexing.

  To disable indexing, clear the checkbox 'offline files' under control panel > Indexing Options.  Then synchronize as usual and re - activate when you are finished.

  I'm glad that you guessed it work.

  Permissions show that "Everyone" has full access inherited, so that the list must have been made after that you have added everyone.  "Everyone" in this list without a guest user (or any user if you have active Simple file sharing) would not have permissions on this folder.

  Hi, this is a follow-up to the issue and my second attempt to find the solution. In addition, it is still connected to my first and second positions.

  My laptop that works with Windows 7 32-bit has 2 two natural questions:

  1. I can't access PC's on the network on the laptop itself and thus get an error:
  "\\(PC Name) is not accessible." You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server know if you have access permission. The specified network provider is not valid.

  2. When you make the file sharing Wizard, I get an error "your folder cannot be shared" and the only option is to click on 'Done '.

  I'm trying to share folders to another laptop that works with 64-bit Windows 8 but I think there must be a problem with the Windows 7 laptop. I can share and access all the folders of any laptop before.

• How can I copy large files to VMFS to NFS?

  How can I copy a large file of in ESXi from a local VMFS to NFS?  When I copy a file of 1 GB using the cp from ESXi command, it ends quickly, I get no error, but the file on the NFS server will destination be a few hundred bytes.  I tried with Windows Services NFS and FreeNAS.  The same thing happens.  If I use cp to copy a large file of a vmfs to vmfs another volume volume of in ESXi, which works very well.  Any ideas what can cause that?

  vmkfstools will simply copy the vmdk and flat.vmdk.  There will not be other files of the virtual machine, and it is not instant up-to-date.

  The source file is the file of 1 GB flat.vmdk and is thin or thick formatted?
