Large screen display in Windows XP - correct parameters settings is not available

I recently bought a screen (Samsung SyncMasterS23A350H) recommended display resolution 1920 x 1080 (16:9).  This setting is not available in my display settings. The only setting of 16:9-1280 x 720 - only makes things even more tense, with black areas above and below.  Device Manager indicates that my graphics card is SiS 760. All devices are installed and working properly.  Do I need a new graphics card?  Download anything (free?) to get the right settings on Windows XP?  What is the best solution?

Hello

Method 1:

I suggest you to check if the installed graphics card is compatible with the hardware.

Method 2:

I suggest to update the graphics card drivers and check to see if it helps:

Method 3:

If the graphics card is not compatible with the hardware, you may need to get a new graphics card to the monitor.

My iPhone freeze with grey screen, then restart only. Subsequently the Wifi is not available, I have to finish manually restart to be able to use the Wifi. I have restart my internet and network settings, but the problem is still there.

    Hi there Turco911,

Looks like your screen goes gray and then shuts down its own, and you must manually restart to get the wifi to work again. I save your device in iTunes, then restore it like new and verify that it works.

How to clear your iOS device and then set up as a new device or restore from backups

If this is the case, restore your backup either check it still works and just reinstalled software or circumvent the problem in the backup file itself.

If when restored like new the problem persists, I would ask for your phone service:

  • Windows 7 Professional "Sleep Mode" is not available

    Hello

I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 Professional with a customized upgrade. But now, there is no choice to sleep in the power settings (it's just gray rather than black). It is also not available in the settings of power either. only, stop and put into hibernation. I have a laptop and find it more convenient to use the "sleep mode" when I close the lid rather than hibernation. How can I fix that it's getting boring now...
    Thanks :)

Try checking to determine which States are at your disposal:

-Click on Start Orb > type cmd in the search box > right-click on cmd in the above results > click on run as administrator of
-At the command prompt, type powercfg-a > press enter

  • Windows 7 home upgrade to windows 7 pro says that's not available?

I can't use my anytime upgrade windows 7 home to windows 7 pro, I said that's not available.

What can I do to upgrade to windows pro

Microsoft sales ended for Anytime Upgrade and licensing of retail in October 2013. Otherwise, your only way to upgrade is by purchasing the retail full version or upgrade Windows 7 Professional license and use it with the wizard upgrade Express Windows 7 home Basique/Familiale Premium. I just checked amazon.com and all the licenses that I see are copies OEM System Builder:

    http://www.Amazon.com/Microsoft-Windows-7-8-software/b?ie=UTF8&node=1286119011

This means the boxed retail copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.

    Full version (retail):

-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.

-Does not require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.

    -Expensive

    Upgrade version (detail):

-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.

-require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.

-Expensive, but less expensive full version

    OEM System Builder version:

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

There is nothing wrong to use it too, especially that all future versions of Windows will be full versions.

If you can get a copy of a retail license, you can do the following:

If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.

Please note that the Express upgrade does not support OEM, MSDN-Academic, Volume (the student faculty licenses) license. If you are in possession of all these brackets, you will need to save and do a custom clean install. If you want to do it, please backup your Windows 7 Home Premium or according to edition currently installed. Some licenses for Windows distributed to tertiary level students are not perpetual, which means that you cannot continue to use the software after a course or graduating.

  • Equium A100-147: large screen display resolution is not available?

Hi, I recently bought a laptop A100-147 - accepted a view model that I had trouble getting one of them. On the beautiful screen, the screen resolution is 1024 x 768 - that it and 640 x 480 and 800 x 600 are available. This sounds awfully stretched.

Is this correct? Or do I have to create a different graphics driver that allows me to select a screen resolution?

    Thank you.

    Hello

According to the description of the Equium A100-147 comes with color Wide XGA TFT 15.4 TruBrite display ". The standard resolution of this monitor is 1280 x 800. If you dot have this one please install graphic driver. You can find it on the download page of Toshiba under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com support & downloads.

I can't imagine that it happens after the first start. You have preinstalled your own operating system?

  • After you have reinstalled Windows XP, the video settings are not correct

    Original title: parameters viedo

I had to reformat and reinstall XP.  Everything works except for things like graphics, cards and other games and some pictures.  They are very wide and short.   I guess it's something in the video settings defined in landscape mode, but I can't find where.   Can anyone help.

    Thank you

    Caz

You probably just set your screen resolution to match your monitor.
Right-click on an empty area of your desktop and select 'Properties', then click on the 'Settings' tab at the top.
At the bottom left there is a box of "Screen Resolution."  Drag the marker to change the screen resolution to a setting that matches your monitor...  You determine this by the ratio of the width to the height.  Some common resolutions to the dimensions of the screen are the following:

    4:3 = 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 960, 1600 x 1200
    5:4 = 1200 x 1024
    8:5 = 1440 x 900, 1680 x 1050
    16:9 = 1280 x 720, 1776 x 1000, 1920 x 1080 (widescreen)

After you change this setting and click on 'OK', the screen will become to this resolution.  It will give you a few seconds to confirm that the monitor can display this resolution. If you see the screen, click on 'OK '.  If your screen is empty, don't panic but just wait 30 seconds approximately and your screen will return.

  • Windows 8.1 Pro Update 1 not available

I have a new 10 Thinkpad running Windows Pro 8.1. I don't see an option to install the update 1 (available via Windows Store on my other laptops Windows 8). I don't think that 1 update has been installed, because I don't see the power button on the home screen next to my username. With the help of the command does not work, Windows Update indicates that all updates have been installed. How to update 1? Thank you!

You won't see the power button on the start screen on a tablet that uses connected Standby (alias InstantGo) - it's Microsoft design. So you will use 1 update if you are told that all updates are installed.

    Hello

-Were there any changes made to the computer before the show?

    -          What do you mean by "but I used TO be able to have A Miniplayer"?

-Media are which player you referring?

If you want to change Windows Media Player Mini Player mode, then follow the suggestions listed below.

Right-click on an open in the taskbar area Windows (such as the system clock), point to toolbarsand then click Windows Media Player.

This activates the function and should only be run once. A check mark appears next to Windows Media Player to indicate that it is turned on. To switch to mini player in the future, simply click on the button cut in the drive.

  • Windows 8 "The Default Gateway is not available"

Like so many others, I'm also having this problem.  The basics are as follows:

Windows 8 Pro on a custom platform.
I have been playing Guild Wars 2, which has frozen, requiring a reset.
After the reboot, my network connection is over worked.
I use a wired connection to a wireless access point.
The access point is set up correctly (verifiable on other systems).
I use a static configuration (DHCP is not an option), it is set up correctly and worked for a year or two so far.
Connect the PC directly to the router is not an option.
The unknown network error seems to only show after sending the data to the router.
Auto repair resets the adapter and clear the error (... default gateway).
Try to do something online will again cause the error.
The error prevents the PC access utility based on the web of the access point.

I refreshed Windows (I wouldn't recommend to anyone, you will lose all your installed programs), and the rest of the error.
    I have already run sfc.
I have already confirmed that the ethernet cable is good, like the rest of my networking equipment.
I have power rolled and all restarted.
I also disabled the PC capacity to put the network card to sleep.

Is Microsoft to resolve this error still more closely?  Someone had permanent chance correct their mistakes?

I managed to fix it.  It turns out that it was not at all a software problem.  I installed an extra fan after that Guild Wars 2 crashed because I had the space and the fan.  Apparently, the draw .35a on the pins of the fan as an option, on the motherboard, caused the network card stop to identify any type of network connection (they are very close).  I completely forgot that I installed it, and being unrelated to a piece of hardware, it never occurred to me.  Especially since my diet is more than sufficient for my PC.  As soon as I removed the fan and started the computer, the adapter immediately recognized my network and connected to the internet.  Next time, I'll just use a Dispatcher and hang them up to the fan controller.

    Thanks for the reply.
