LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw: new router with M175nw

Hi, I am looking to buy a new router.  I would like to know if connecting a new router will take reinstall me my printer (M175nw) as if it were new. Do I have to start the installation from scratch even if I were to use the same network name, password and even sign my other devices before you connect the printer? I only ask because I really want to avoid opening a Pandora's box. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

OK - I'm out of here.

I've owned a Laserjet 100 color MFP M175nw for awhile, and it worked perfectly.

Installed the software for 2 computers at home and everything worked well.

Last week, I changed the password to my router for the home network.

The printer showed as "offline".  I couldn't change the status.

After much trying I totally uninstalled the software, deleted the printers on my PC and reinstalled.

I run the installer - tell him I want to go and so that it can detect my wireless network settings.  (I also tried the option where I have to enter the information manually). All else fails.

Setup starts and then asks me to install the USB cable.  I do that and the installation program is going very slowly (I mean it crawls along) and wrote "Product has been detected", "Waiting for installation of the product at the end. Then I get a big red 'X' and it is said that it took too long to run and a fatal error occurrred or he tells me that it cannot find a product to install.  If I run the installer and say USB only, it works very well.  Ugh.

When I press the button on the front panel wireless and it flashes only and that's all.

Here's what I did - full power / turn off the PC and the router.  Updated the firmware of the printer used the new installer (all from the HP website).  Tried it on 2 different PC to ensure that it was not isolated.

The USB cable is good because after the failure, I can print via USB (I lost a forest to print the test pages).  Same PC and OS for both when I bought the printer.

Ironically, I spent several years in this DOCUMENT, so it's not familiar works for me, just very frustrating!

Well, I finally had it - realized that the WIFI adapter on the PC had to have the new password entered.

It was step 1.  Step 2 followed another post where I attached the printer directly via ethernet to the router cable, and once the IP address appears in the menu of the printer, I entered on my browser and the name of the router is entered, pw and managed to turn off the wireless printer on.  Then, by running the installer worked like a charm.  Woo-Hoo

    Hi mazz154,

If any of the cartridges get stuck the carousel could not turn depending on how stuck cartridge is. To move the carousel you must have released brake and then find a place on the carousel to do turn to the next cartridge door. Just make sure that you do not touch the mag of the cartridges ink roller with your finger as the oil on your hands can damage the toner mag roller. Hi yarzig

I understand that you are unable to configure the wireless to the printer.

Make sure that the computer is on the right side of the network.

Unplug the ethernet cable from the printer.

Restore the default settings of the printer.

Arrow to restore default settings, ok ok, right on the selection of the printer setup button, arrow right in the service menu.

Print a configuration report to check that there are no IP address and name of your network. (SSID)

Go to the install button (key) on the printer, arrow to the reports on the right, select config report.

Now, connect the ethernet cable from the printer to the router.

Wait about 1 minute and print the configuration page to get the IP address.

If you have an IP address valid address for the printer, try and access the web server integrated.

Type the IP address into the internet address bar explore.

If it loads the page from the network printer then the printer is on the network.

Now, we can configure the wireless connection.

Click on the tab of networking, on the left, select Wireless, fill in the information. Apply the settings, once you get a response back, and then disconnect the ethernet cable from the printer.

Should get a solid blue light on the printer.

Now, run the Add Printer Wizard.

If you use Windows 7, go to start, devices and printers, add printer, go through the wizard. Should find the printer and install the driver. If not, go to add printer, select local, select Create a new port, click on menu drop-down and select TCP\IP, next, type the IP address of the printer. Continue the wizard.

Make sure the printer is online.

Test it wireless and see if you can now print.

    Hello

I just bought a 100 LaserJet color MFP M175nw. Went in the menu of the box tools and entered a password. The next thing that happened is that I can not connect because it says that the password is incorrect

(Might have to do with my generated passwords and some characters is not allowed for the password (wouldn't be the first time, generally to get a new password is a matter of resetting is by mail).)

Anyone who is willing to tell me how to reset the unit? Also where can I find the serial number of the device? What is the small sticker under the scanner glass?

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards.

    Sjoerd

Solved with quick intervenience of HP telephone support team. EU to hold a few buttons and reset has been done. The most difficult thing was to find the serial number of the printer, it doesn't seem to be anywhere on the device (down, front, back, inside,...) Me that I still had the box where it is "also" printed on the chance.

I also discovered what was wrong with the password. It does not longer then 16-character password and those that I pasted my password generator/Manager is 20 characters by default. For example, when you enter it symply ignored the finals four characters.

Phone support credits for pick up the phone fast, also thanks to the technical support.

  • LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw: LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw no duplex in Windows10

Problem: duplex printing does not stop halfways (after printing one side) to allow me to return on paper, recharge it in the magazine, and then press on ": start" again to print the other side.

Impression goes all the way now, first pages (which is correct) and then immediately after, without pause, the odd pages, upside down (this is good also). The only problem is that there is no break between odd and even page print to enabvle bring me the stack of paper back to the papertray.

It is only in Windows 10, on another machine still works on Windows 7, duplex printing goes perfectly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    I found the solution!

It's the 100 LaserJet color MFP 175nw on a new install of Windows 10. I don't know if it works for other printers.

    1. go in Control Panel / devices and printers

    2. right click on the HP laserjet icon, select Properties, go to the device settings tab.

    3. under installable options: duplex printing manual, separator of work and Status Notification of:

    everything must be ENABLED

That's what was wrong, separator works was disabled after initial installation and this caused the printer setting do not pause when double-sided printing.

    Problem solved!

  • LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw - network that is always visible to the public problem

I have a laptop IBM running on Windows 7. I know that supposedly the SSID is supposed not to be visible when printing, but mine is always available and visible in the network Internet connections access bar at any time.  I can tell when neighbors are trying to open a session to serve as a Wi - Fi connection because the printer resets.  How can I make the invisible printer on the network?  The only way I can see to do disappear from the list of available wireless networks is to put off the printer.  Is there another way?

    I read:

"The 'HP - Print - b9 - Laserjet 100' network is the ssid wireless direct to your printer for printing spot, but is based on the activity in a way (if there is no activity on the connection - i.e. print jobs - the connection is lost)."

However, my connection is still available.

There may only be two reasons for the SSID broadcast: the Ad - hoc is currently listed or Direct wireless function has been enabled (it is disabled by default).

The SSID certainly resembles a Direct SSID wireless as an ad-hoc ID does not list default print.

Perform these steps on the printer:

    1. go to settings.

    2. go in the Network Configuration.

    3. go wireless.

    4. check that the Direct wireless is enabled.  If this is the case, turn it off and the SSID you listed should be listed.

Now, the ad - hoc connection will then broadcast.  Ad hoc is the standard wifi adapter when there is no network printer wifi connection.  Since you don't want the printer listed at all and you use a wired connection, I recommend you to disable the wifi function all together.

This can be done by going into the menu wireless, where direct wireless scored, and turn wireless off.

These measures will not affect the Ethernet or USB connections.  They're going to turn it off completely direct wireless and the wireless radio.

Please help me I'm not count very literate and reading and to read on the site of hp but do not understand. I changed my network and I am fighting to get the printer to connect, printed reports, and all say that it is always connected to the network of the former. had a lot of problems initially establishment did not like the mac software. It does not connect via wps either. I have another printer on the floor and epson and connected correctly via wps.

    Thank you

    No worries genie07.

Given that the printer works through the Ethernet connection, we can configure the wireless that way too.

Print the configuration page to get the IP address of the printer.

    Print a Configuration report.

You will need to know what encryption network is setting up wireless, I provided information on how to find the type of encryption and password for the network.

    Check your network encryption type:

Go, go to the Apple/system preferences/network/click on the button advanced/double click on the name of the network. (watch the WEP or WPA)

To check the network password follow these steps:
In the Apple menu, click on Go, selection of applications, utilities, Keychain Access, double-click the name of the network,
Check the show the password box, type your Mac password to see.

(some networks have a password shortcut configuration)

Then type the IP address in the address bar of Safari to bring up the web page of the printer.

Select the networking, Wi - Fi on the left side.
Fill in all your information network, select infrastructure, select the name of your network, set the password and the encryption type if you have this setup or open any password. Apply the settings.

    Then, unplug the Ethernet cable.

Then wait a minute to see if you get a light wireless to the printer, print the configuration page and check the IP address again. Then type the IP address in the address bar of Safari to bring up the web page of the printer. This way, you will know that the printer is now networked.

Because the software is already installed, all you have to do now is add the printer on Mac.

Click on the Apple icon ( ), then click on System Preferences.

    Click Print and Scan.

    Click the plus sign +.

Select the printer in the list.

Make sure the name of the complete printer shows beside the use, you may need to click on the drop-down list to select the name of the printer.

    Click the Add button.

    Test the printer.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, let me know.

    Thank you.

HP Laserjet Pro 100 Color MFP M175nw. operating on Windows 7 from my wireless laptop. I tried printing a page a couple of times of cleaning and the print quality too a few times Menu color grading, but that made no difference. Hi Watcher35,

I see that the Laserjet Pro 100 ACM M175NW new is missing print in the middle of the pages, you ran cleaning and color calibration, but the issue is not resolved.

This would be a specific example of the question: but with the 'Bb' would be completely missing?

This HP document: solving Print quality problems can if you take some of the same steps you did already, I suggest you don't skip any step.

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 for all other regions, click here.

    Hi @Up205,

I see by your post that you are having problems manually double-sided printing. I can help you with this.

The software for this model on the 8.1 for Windows is the Basic Solution software and the driver. This solution of basic software provides printing and scan feature only. You download and install the latest drivers?

HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw drivers.

Ensure that the bidirectional Support is enabled.

Go to the type (menu tiles) in "devices and printers" screen, select settings, click on devices and printers, click with the right button on the printer, start left click on properties of the printer, on the Ports tab, put a check mark next to allow bidirectional support.

You may have to restart the computer.

I have a printer HP LaserJet 100 color MFP M175a, which has always worked well (except when in cooling mode). All of a sudden he started printing very slowly: for example, last night I sent a document of 20 pages to print at about 21:00 and was still waiting for it to end at midnight!

Nothing has been changed in the settings.

What can I do to fix this?

Thanks for letting me know NOG55.

Have you tried another USB cable? Just to rule out it.

Try and print a self-test on the printer hardware to see if it is a hardware or software problem.

On the printer, select the Setup button, reports, report of Config.

    That print slow or fast?

If you encounter this problem with printing of the hardware self-test also, update the firmware of the printer.

Software & drivers. Select your operating system, click Next, click the link for the firmware.

If you're just the printing of the computer problem, uninstall and reinstall the printer software.

OK, I'm about to explode a joint here. I bought a new router and I have now the 100 HP Laser Jet color MFP M175nw problems to connect. I can connect and print via USB, but not wireless. I can see the printer on my computer in the Network Center and he has five bars of signal WiFi. I uninstalled everything and run the MS Utility and then reinstalled the software. Even with the USB cable plugged in, I can't open the Toolbox HP because it does not connect. I can connect to the printer via a network cable to my route, and I can see but not print. Right now I use a network open with bonds. The blue wirless button keeps blinking on the printer. I have reset the default printer. I connected to my router and I tried to conect it there as well. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    Hi @flexcuff ,

I see by your post you are having problems setting up the printer on the wireless network. I will definitely do my best to help you.

Restore the default settings of the network printer.

    • Press the Setup button. (key)
    • Select the network configuration Menu.
    • Then select default settings.

Print a configuration report to ensure that the IP address is 0.0.0.0 and the SSID is disabled.

    Print a Configuration report.

Here are the instructions to set up the printer via the Direct wireless set up the printer on the network as the Infrastructure.

Turn the wireless directly on the printer.

On the printer, press the setup button, select (key) and network configuration menu, select wireless menu, select direct wireless and turn it on.

On the computer, in the lower right corner, click on the wireless icon, and select the printer from the list to connect to. Then open Internet Explorer and type the IP address (192.168.223.1) of the printer in the address bar.
This will load the web server integrated for the printer.
Select the networking, Wi - Fi on the left side.
Fill in all your information network, select infrastructure, select the name of your network, set password and encryption type. Apply the settings.

Click on the wireless icon and connect to your network name.

Print a configuration report to ensure that the IP address is valid. (192... or 10...)

Now, create a new port, this will save you the time, instead of uninstall and then reinstall the software.

Click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.

    Any expert know about this?

I need to know more information about what is happening here to start. It seems that you are experiencing printing problems, but I can't get a lot of information that you presented. All the information show me is that the file could not be accepted by the print job. I'm going to need to know what it is that you print file type and size, the program you are printing the form, if you are still able to print other documents from other programs, how long it lasts and any other relevant information.

Departure, we will perform the two resets in this video:

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=31TbWMrTaFk

Then, if you use a USB cable, make sure to remove (this is important). Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Through devices and printers, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer.
