LaserJet 2055dn guard re - install (and fault) on Win7 32 bit

Hi there, we have a certain Laserjet 2055dn office configured to print via a USB connection to a docking of the user (and thus their laptops). They also 2055dn at home too, which they plug it into their laptop again via the USB port.

We recently migrated 3 users of XP to Win7 32-bit as a pilot and as such, we need get their impression also works.

On the first machine, I used the HP Universal Print Driver PCL6 (5.4.0) version on the HP site - everything went well until when we went from the printer and turn it back on again - he then tried to install the printer all over again and then failed. We then tried the P2050 (61.093.02.77) Series PCL6 driver from the main site and yet once again, everything looked ok until the user called to say when she went home and plugged his 2055 in, he again tried to re - install the printer and a not rather than using the print object existing only.

I checked and when the printed object is created, it's going to USB001, and as I said, it's all ok until you plug the printer back in?

If anyone has noticed this problem, or similar? I wonder if force us users to always use the same USB port on the laptop if it would help? I note that when the printer is found, it also seems to show an integrated HP Web server (or along those lines) print USB driver and try to find the drivers for it too much.

Any advice or suggestions is very welcomed,

Thanks for looking, Steve S.

  • Legal upgrade (and activate) for Win7 64-bit Windows XP 32-bit WITHOUT overwriting current (replacing) Win XP 32-bit install?

I use version OEM Windows XP HOME 32 bits on a Gateway desktop computer - with no problems.  However, the hard drive is to reach the end of its planned life expectancy, and approaching the period of support for XP.

To solve the problem, I installed a new (small capacity) hard drive, with the intention to install Win 7 Pro (64 bit) on the new drive.  I read and reread ALL instructions on different help pages (for installation) (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/)... and avoided all of the common problems.

Currently I have the old (Win XP) and the new hard drive physically assigned to DH0 DH1 - as a CUSTOM, run Setup. -leaving me with a choice of dual-boot to initialize the top between "Earlier version of Windows" (on DH1) and Windows 7 (on DH0).  They both starts without any problem.

HOWEVER - during inspection, I see that the folder "OLD Windows" on Windows 7 drive in a VACUUM.  This indicates that installation of Windows 7 does not recognize the existence of my current installation of Windows XP on the other hard drive?  Upon activation, I get the dreaded
    "Windows 7 activation error: 0xC004F061.
because "a previous version of Windows wasn't on your computer when Windows 7 was installed. To install an upgrade version of Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP must be installed on your computer. "

The new Windows 7 must be installed on the same drive as the old Windows XP  In order to activate the 'upgrade '?

I have no problem with the drudgery of migrating my data and install applications from one drive to another with an empty directory "OLD Windows" - as long as both car are mounted.  My only question is to know if the 'new' Win 7 64 - bit OS SHOULD replace the old XP 32-bit operating system in order to Activate the newly installed operating system Win 7 64 bit.

Is there an 'Official' Microsoft document that answers this question?

    Thank you

  • DAQCard-6062E and DAQmx on Win7 64 bit

    Hello world

I have question about 6062E map (old enough).

We had recently updating our machine to run Win7 64 bit, because we are short of memory with other applications. Now, I have the problem, that I don't get the DAQCard-6062E installed correctly.

First and foremost, I must admit, that I don't have a great experience with this piece of hardware and the configuration of the old machine was made by someone else (which is over here).

Our DAQ hardware is connected via a PCMCIA adapter to our new machine, running Win7 64 bit. This adapter is recognized correctly. I was also looking for drivers for the card itself and found the driver OR DAQmx 15.5 (http://www.ni.com/download/ni-daqmx-15.5/5901/en/), which seem to be supported for Win7 - 64 bit. So I installed them. Also our device is listed as supported by the latest version of DAQmx: "DAQCard-6062E.

However, installation of the new machine I couldn't do the 6062E be recognized correctly. Windows not wanting to find/install the drivers for this card. Also the device does not appear in the NOR Measurement & Automation Explorer.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any useful information on the page host OR this fact. There is a fairly old (http://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/Does-DAQcard-6062E-work-on-WINDOWS-7/m-p/1104196) discussion in the forums, but it does not help be to this specific topic.

I would be happy if you could point me in the right place on where to find this information? Or, please let me know, what things to do/try?

    Thank you

    Peter

The DAQCard-6062E is not supported on 64-bit Windows versions. See the section "No supported devices in NOR-DAQmx on the 64-bit Windows 8.1/7/Vista Versions" of the NOR-DAQmx 15.5 Readme.

  • How can install autocade 2004 to win7 64 bit

I have hp pavilion dv6 i7 operated window 64 bit. Please tell me how can install 2004 t0 atuocade 2009. its used the 32-bit system.

    autocade? or autocad?

Since Autocad Web site - http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-2004-2005-Archive/Acad-2004-on-Win7/td-p/2632980 - "actually his native running in Win7x64. No problems so far" so it implies that he can. "I can confirm that autocad 2004 installs and works natively on the regular version and pro to windows 7 (64-bit) without the need of modes of XP" - http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-2004-2005-Archive/Autocad-2004-and-Windows-7-compatibility-in-XPM-mode/td-p/2567379/page/2

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded
on your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is
Poster: load address of the driver, description, version, product name,.
company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit Maker as replacements and system manufacturer of device which are
the most recent. Control Panel - write - graphics card - device manager
the brand and complete model of your video card - double click - tab of the driver-
Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
    you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)
and site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get the manufacturer and device
their latest versions. (Look for the system to update the BIOS, Chipset and software updates
    Site of the manufacturer here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
    REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot.
Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using
the above methods is preferable to ensure the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system
    and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities
in the updates of Windows, which leaves on Windows updates, but it will not be installed
pilots who are generally older and cause problems. If updates provides a new
driver then hide it (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if
    you want.

  • Acrobat 9 guard re - install and reinstall

Problem with Adobe Acrobat 9 for CS3 on Vista. It is re-installing at the beginning and then whenever I do some basic stuff (delete a file, move a file, click right, etc.). Adobe Acrobat 9 continues to come to say that it is to set up Acrobat 9 or sometimes it says install Acrobat 9.

I have re-installed CS3, but it changed nothing.

Windows utility for cleaning did not help either.

    Someone knows the solution?

    It is so annoying!

It is a temporary solution until someone at Adobe comes up with a 'real' fix:

I suspect that the problem is with the following file:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat Elements\ContextMenu.dll

The registry entry or the file itself is incompatible or damaged. (I suspect the problem probably began with Adobe updater.) (IE: I suspect when you install Adobe Acrobat 9 worm 9.2, the Installer installed the wrong file or a corrupted version is incompatible with the rest of system Adobe Acrobat files or the registry hive.)

The answer is to temporarily disable [Adobe context Menu] by downloading a small utility. Here's the URL:

    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/shexview.html

After you download the utility, launch it and DISABLE "ACROBAT ELEMENTS CONTEXT MENU. Restart your computer, and your problem should be solved.

I've also attached the utility for those who prefer to get it here.

    Sincerely
    My Shao

Hello Shao Ma, when using speedtest.net or a similar site based on flash to measure your speed of connection, then it could be a problem with the protected mode that adobe has implemented for its flash plugin for firefox. Some older versions of f-secure or report of trusteer are known to cause slowdowns with flash, or it could be something similar on your system that interferes (maybe security software that block/sandbox the container used for protected mode, etc...).

as a solution, you could try to disable the protected mode and see if that makes a difference.

in case you want to solve the problem more far, it would be preferable to contact adobe support and file a bug at bugbase.adobe.com report (choose 'Adobe Flash Player' as the product & 'Browser Integration' as being the product box), since they will have to better understand the inner workings of flash protected mode and therefore knows what else could be the cause of the problem you saw.

  • Freezing of frequent and sound distortion - Win7 - 64 bit

    Hello

I use Windows 7-64 bit on a Dell XPS 15z.

My computer used to freeze that rarely (maybe all the ~ 10 h) how would the sound be too distorted. Nothing could run for a few seconds and then it could continue operating as if nothing had happened.

Since the last windows updates (12.02.15) frost got much more frequent (every two minutes), but much shorter. Freezes come about half a second. Always the same appearance, nothing works, his distorted bodyguard, then run as if nothing had happened. There seems to be no relationship between the workload on the aspect computing and lag.

Steps I took to try to resolve the problem:

    1. File Checker system - sfc/scannow in admin in console mode. No problem found.
    2. No advanced tools to solve Performance issues - reported no problem.
    3. Uninstalled Realtek High Definition Audio Driver - manually reinstalled the latest version.

Thanks for the tips. Today I have not had everything freezes more :) I guess that the SSD firmware update did the trick, although there are still a few freezes yesterday after I had updated.

I have updated the firmware of my 3 OCZ agility.

The tool to create a bootable USB key to update the SSD if it is drive C: can be found here: http://ocz.com/consumer/download/firmware

I ran the DELL, diagnostic tool, which did not find any problem.

I have conducted an audit of the memory on the system during startup. Not the questions or the other.

  • I can't install 11 g XE Win7 64 bit

    Hello

I have problem with installing new version Oracle 11 g XE. I had Oracle 11 g XE Beta. I tried to uninstall in Control Panel, but it did not work. After that I tried to manually remove the 11g XE (clear paths, folder, temp, registry, Start meny, legal etc.). But every time if I try to install all new 11g XE I message box: Setup has detected an existing XE... You have any ideas?

  • Compaq CQ58 - 299EV model of updated video card and driver for win7 64 bit and ram upgrade

    Hello

Since I was my compaq laptop (about a year), it was windows 7 64 bit operating system inside, even if the manual was for windows 8. So, when I looked up initially for up-to-date drivers I couldn't find support for win8, but I chose not to because I saw tons of compatibility issues with this model of laptop. Well I don't want to update soon, so I would like to know what are the latest drivers I can find for my model for win7 64-bit.

So, what model of video card has it built in (it just says: "Intel(r) HD Graphics"), so I can find the right drivers for it?
Also can I put my ram? There are now 2 GB.

    Thanks in advance.

Since it is a Celeron processor it comes:

Intel HD Graphics (on models with Intel Pentium or Celeron processor; supports DirectX 10)

They don't give him a number. The processor is based on the Sandy Bridge architecture, so any driver for the video card HD 3000 series will work.

Latest version of the Intel driver

This can take up to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM, like this:

  • Win7 32 bit ultimate updated for Win7 64 bit Ultimate and using transfer files with an external hard drive

    Yes!

It's a question more difficult - it may be a 'set of proceedings' for this!  Those with over all the evidence must not present... sounds like old Rooster Cogburn speaking!

So, let's have some fun and see who can really take over this issue!

Obviously, this link is fake: http://www.intowindows.com/windows-7-installation-procedure/

Why you ask... mainly because you need support your proof!

    :-)

    Thanks to you all.

PS: There are 2 internal 1 TB drive and an external is 1 TB.  Two license keys are available ;-)

No, there is no procedure in one click for her...

    1. There is no way to upgrade from 32 to 64 bits. You will need to clean install 64-bit.
    2. Easy transfer requires a computer to work at each end, not a computer attached to an external drive, because it is easy to transfer must be installed and running in the appropriate bit for each operating system version.

As you have two internal drives, it should not be hard to install 64-bit on what is currently the second disc, ensuring that you first disconnect the drive that contains the 32-bit operating system.

Subsequently, you can reconnect the 'old' data from drive and transfer of starting from one to the other, but just do NOT use Easy Transfer.

To finally get rid of 32 bits, you format the partition that contains...

    Not too difficult, huh...

  • Can I dual boot Win7 32 and Win7 64-bit by using the same product key?

    Hello

My desktop PC is dual boot with XP and Win 7 Pro 32-bit. Both are retail box versions.

I would replace the partition with Win 7 Pro 64-bit XP. (That I still keep installing Win 7 32 bit legacy hardware that does not work under a compatibility mode).

Can I install and activate the new 64-bit partition by using the same product key, or is that 32-bit installation fail/break?

    Thanks for any advice.

No, the key that can be used with 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7 is exclusively for use with the disc 1. You cannot use install both. 1 license, 1 installation, so choose wisely. Where can I still get Windows 7?

Because Windows 7 is in limited stock because Microsoft ended sales in October 2013, this created demand due to its rarity. This means the retail boxed copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.

    Full version (retail):

-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.

-Does not require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.

    -Expensive

    Upgrade version (detail):

-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.

-require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.

-Expensive, but less expensive full version

    OEM System Builder version:

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system
