LaserJet 400 m465dw ePrint attachment photo prints n & b A4

I enclose a photo 2592 x 1778 in JPEG format to an e-mail message to my ePrint printer enabled with no signature or something like that, and it's printing to the printer using the A4 tray - and in black and white, unless I force color on in the settings of ePrint in the ePrintCenter, despite the message that all accessories image allows to print in color regardless of this setting.

I want that the attachment to print in color using 6 x 4 photo paper. It doesn't matter how I try to attach the image to the e-mail address that it prints with A4, filling the full page. If I force it to use available media (6 x 4, no A4 photo paper), it prints only part of the image (top-left) on paper 6 x 4.

Everything I read says attachments will print 6 x 4, but I can't seem to print 6 x 4!

Well, after be in contact with our software engineers about this and looking at the available information, we were able to determine that on this model of printer 4 * 6 paper is not an option with regard to printing will use ePrint. That's why whatever the configuration it Sprint on A4 size paper. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but this doesn't seem to be a limit (currently) services in conjunction with the Laserjet printers ePrint you use.

I hope you have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend!

  • RESOLVED - "49 error turn off then" HP LaserJet 400 M451dn

Last week, I set up not one but 2 printers HP LaserJet 400 M451dn color for a client. It was 2 because I went first to the provider think there is a fault with the printer showed a 49 error randomly, but when I got exactly the same error on the 2nd and the same printer with a different provider, I thought that this may not be the case.

What I found was - I set up the printer with a static IP address of 192.168.0.218 and excluded this address in the DHCP reservation list, so it is not assigned to another device. If I turned on the printer without the LAN cable connected the printer would say "Ready", but as soon as I connected the LAN cable, it is when that would throw a wobbly and appear "error 49 - Turn off, then on. I tried to reset the default printer without joy.

THE FIX here IS (or should I say a work around) in the following order:

    (1) remove the LAN / network printer cables.

    (2) to reset the default printer.

    (3) remove the the 192.168.0.218 of the server DHCP reservation.

    (4) delete the IP 192.168.0.218 Server lease.

    (5) connect the LAN cable to the printer.

    (6) can get a new IP address from the printer. Using the same IP address again you go back to step 1 again.

    (7) that's all.

For some reason, this printer does NOT set a static IP address and put a reserve on the server. Nuts!

I installed several HP printers that I have in the course of the years and never encountered this problem. As I mentioned above, this is more than a solution to a genuine problem...

Hope you guys find this post useful.

I had exactly the same problem with a M451dn of 400 LaserJet, except in a working group with the router making DHCP, use a static address outside DHCP for 2 days and then pool this week had error 49, noticed that when the Lan cable has been disconnected, he seems to have stopped. Printer changed to use DHCP and it works again. (updating the firmware via USB had no effect)

  • ePrint does not print web pages of Tablet Windows 8 Microsoft Surface

ePrint does not print web pages of Windows 8 (x 64) Microsoft Surface Tablet

    Any ideas?

    Hello JereTanner,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see you are trying to print web pages of a tablet of Surface. What model printer you are trying to print to? Also, is there an error, message, etc., when you try to print?

In general, ePrint is used when printing emails or transmission of documents / photos to the printer address, is the next how you try to print a web page?

Since it is a Windows 8 operating system, you can be able to install the full features software and print that way. When I know more about how you want to print, what happens when you try and which printer you are using, I will be able to help.

    See you soon,.

  • HP LaserJet 400 colorMFP M475dw scan to E-mail problems

    Hi all!

I would appreciate a solution to my agony.

We recently purchased a printer HP LaserJet 400 colorMFP M475dw. Now, I'm putting in place (browser-> Scan--> the outgoing message profile administration) to send scanworks by e-mail but face the following problems:

    1. when it is correctly typed all the credentials, even the "Test & Save" option takes forever. After cople attempts I got it successfully tested.

    2. with the help of my personal gmail accout as the sender, sweeping work takes a lot of time. It stops in the phase connection smtp server for quite a long time before even starting the actual analysis.

3 using the company newly created accounts of e-mail as a sender, it takes even more time. I timed it just 6 minutes and 23 seconds before the actual analysis.

    4. now, it seems to send the scan ok, but with some first attempts it failed with some general error message asking to try again.

In my opinion, the time it takes is completely unacceptable. Is this a known problem and is there a workaround?

Our company emails run on MS Office 365 and I use smtp.office365.com as server smtp port 587 and SSL/TLS ticked (tried also unchecked). As I said with Gmail, it would also slow but still very very very slow.

    Help, please?

I know this is an old thread, but just in case anyone is still having problems with this - I managed to fix it by disabling IPv6 in network-> advanced in the web server administrator. Connect to smtp.gmail.com from 3 minutes + seconds.

  • LaserJet 400 m401dn: HP Laserjet 400 m401dn, make wireless?

Is it possible to buy a product to make the Laserjet 400 m401dn active wifi or is this product already activated?  The internet router is in another place, so a physical connection is not possible.  I would like the capability configure the SSID, etc. to connect and print.  Thank you.

    > Laserjet 400 m401dn wifi active or is this product already activated?

The m401dn is a model of printer Dmodel Network (wire) connected.  The active WiFi model would be a M401dw , that would be the model Dand Wwireless.

However, if you create a connection to your router via a wired Ethernet connection and then the printer would be accessible by wireless network devices.  All you need to do is get the printer on the network.

    > internet router is in a different location so a physical connection is not possible.

The only options you have are to run a new cable at the location of the printer and Ethernet cable connect with the current hardware.

Otherwise you would seek to create a 'bridge' between the printer and the router wireless network using a router without wire 2.  Configure the wireless router 2 to act as a client or to fill in the primary wireless router that acts as the main Point of access to the network.  Once the 2nd wireless router is filled in elementary school all the devices that are connected to Router 2 will be accessible from the main access point.

There are guides out there circulating that walks you through this process, but the specific steps will have to come some 2nd router manufacturer, you can decide to experiment.

Here is a sample of Cisco support article that calls this "Cascade" procedure one router to another:

  • LaserJet M1212nf: Problems setting up wireless printing

I can set up to print from my laptop with a USB connection to the printer. I want to be able to print when away from my office, so have tried for 2 years, on and off, to get my printer to print wireless. I spent probably 10 + hours trying to get this set up. In the end, I always end up having to reinstall the printer with the same old USB connection.

It drives me crazy. I'm a tech writer for a society of software and very savvy in computer science. However, my non-techie family have all managed to set up wireless printing at their home in 5 minutes or less with different brands of printers.

Here are the steps that I followed, although I also tried many variations, like trying with my USB cable connected or disconnected.

    (1) uninstall the current installation of the printer (USB).

    (2) on the printer itself, make sure that the settings > network settings are the default values.

    (3) using the latest drivers and installation .exe from the HP site, start a new installation of the printer.

    (4) when you are prompted, select "wireless."

RESULT: even if my firewall is turned OFF, search and indicates that he is there any printer on the network. (Huh? Which network?)

    (5) try again once and this time select "Network Setup."

RESULT: even if my firewall is turned OFF, search and says that it cannot detect a network.

If the wireless installation requires a network, but network installation does not cause a network to install, I don't know where to go from here.

    (6) I also tried downloading and installing the ePrint utility, but when I'm at halfway through the installation, it tells me that it cannot find my printer.

I am suspicious that my model M1212nf MFP may even not allow for wireless printing. Some info on the HP site says to check a particular button lights up to indicate that the printer is online. This light does not exist on my printer model. However, the parameters of the printer from my physics has parameters such as: "show IP address," etc., which would lead me to believe that it can work wireless.

I have read all the help related HP printer, and there is nothing which explains, in simple language, what are the types of cables, I need to set up a network and the Wi - Fi connection, when to plug them in, what facilities to perform on the many Add - ons available, etc.. I don't know that it's a 5 minute process if there was just a good explanation in the help of the UP of how do. Assistance would be appreciated!

    Hello @SKYdiz,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have had problems for the last 2 years and spent many hours trying to configure your HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf MFP for wireless printing. At this point I'll provide more information about it. First of all, are sitting you?

Unfortunately, the HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf multifunction printer isn't a model wireless printer. The "nf" at the end of the name of the printer is the abbreviation of 'network, fax. Therefore, if your printer is not able to connect to your router wireless, it CAN connect with an ethernet cable.

All you need to do is connect an ethernet cable to the back of your printer to your router. That all devices connected to this router even (whether through wireless or wired ethernet connections) would be able to 'see' your printer on the network and print it on your printer. For more information on configuring ethernet on your printer, please visit: Setup the printer to a wired network in Windows 7 for HP's LaserJet printers.

Now, if an ethernet connection does not work in your specific network, HP makes other Laserjet models that do not use the wireless function. Here are two LaserJet who are black only, multifunction wireless units that resemble your current printer model: HP LaserJet MFP HP LaserJet MFP M225dw Pro and M127fw Pro.

Please let me know if this clears up any confusion. If you have other questions or concerns, I'll be more than happy to help you. Happy new year!

I am developing a project with Zabbix (open source solution for the network, applications, and devices, such as a printer, switch and monitoring etc) and now I'm getting better the SNMP Protocol on this software. So, to start, I need to know some information in one of my devices, in this case a HP LaserJet 400 ColorMFP M475DN.

Could someone tell me how CAN I find the MIB (Management Information Base) and the OID (Object Identifier) of this equipment?

    Thank you!

Navigate to the developer https://spp.itcs.hp.com/spp/ Web site

From the home page (via the button in the Software Development Kit ), it is possible to access the package public spaces:

    Hello @Pheeoo

Think about replacement parts this its go device but you only have two options

To display sound problem usually a combo that you need to get the trainer + Control Panel from one of the 2 could be the problem

HP part dept store number its 800 227 8164

The other option will be to return this printer for a discount for another product

    HP 888 447 0078 ext 813 solutions

You can call them and see what they have to offer with this second option

The 1606dn is only able to Airprint. ePrint is not a feature support for this printer. I have a couple about airprint and cloud print below links. Appoligize if you thought that the printer made in charge of the ePrint feature.

  • 400 LaserJet (M401): HP Laserjet 400 Networking Question

We have a HP Laserjet 400 that is connected to a wired network. We also have a point of wireless access on the same network. When an ethernet cable is connected to the printer (in a perfect world), the wireless tap stop to avoid conflicts, BUT about 20 minutes of pluging in an ethernet cable, the wireless access point goes down (no longer works and must be restarted).  This isn't the only one who did this access point. The printer has caused to the whole of the network thus go down (5 servers & 40 + workstations). This printer did not do that when we got it (a year ago). Anyone has any suggestions for me doesnot involve making wirless only or replacement of the acess points (for the 3rd time)?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dan

Huumm... do not know how this can happen.   However, manually turn off the Radio wireless in the printer.  If the printer supports Direct wireless, make sure that this is also disabled.

  • Many vertical lines colored on the second side of ADF scanner on HP LaserJet 400 MFP M425dn

When I scan using the ADF on our MFP HP LaserJet 400 in mode '2-sided' M425dn, the back side of the scans (even-numbered pages in the PDF file) is wiped out by a good number of colored vertical lines. (see attachment)

I tried to clean the ADF scanning window, but I do not think that these lines are caused by dirt or debris .

    Thank you!

    Ben

There is a notice for this defect, as such I would say contact you HP warranty - there are a few steps to be taken to eliminate and recalibrate the scanner, if the problem persists then it is a module of formatting of replacement and recalibration is needed.

  • HP LaserJet 400 ColorMFP M475D: Where I found the Documentation MIB?

    Hello!

I'm trying to monitor a printer, a HP LaserJet 400 ColorMFP M475D and to move forward with what I need device MIB. Thus, the HP Forum help me with this information in the last month in this thread.

But, MIB has a lot of information and I don't know what they mean. This type of file have a documentation? I just found the MIB repository, but they documentation I don't know.

Could someone answer if it have a documentation?

    Thank you!

The format of MIB data (for printers and other devices) follow a set of standards that is not defined by HP.

A basic description of the MIBs print shops can be found in this document RFC 3085.

It is not easy to read (don't expect any specification document to be).

There are probably many applications available to help interpret the MIBs and how to use them with SNMP functions.

It is not something I know a lot of things, so I can't recommend specific applications.

A way to solve this problem?

    Hello Talkoon,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that photos of the iPhone printing are not the same color scheme when the photo is printed from the computer.

Try printing the HP ePrint App photo and let me know what is the result.
