LaserJet 5: HP jetdirect for LaserJet 5
Greetings to all.
I have the old HP LaserJet 5 printer. Interface (LPT)
Built in HP Jetdirect print server model
works with my printer?
You need what is called a direct jet MIO map. There are many models and they go for little money on ebay. You can search ebay or click on the link below:

I have a Laserjet 2200 d and would like to buy a printserver jetdirect for this. Which device is right for my printer?
I found the answer myself:
HP Jetdirect 620 N J7934G
I tried to update the firmware of the integrated (on my laserjet 4250) jetdirect j7949e, but the version displayed by the built-in webserver (V.33.28.FF) is higher than the latest version offered by hp (V.33.21) - see
-How is that possible?
-should I downgrade to the "official"?
Republic of Korea
You should generally only firmware jetdirect integrated by updating the firmware of the printer, since it comes as a set.
I'll try to remember one of the 4250 printerss to work tomorrow because I have the latest firmware for the printer installed.
I had the printer (HP Laserjet 4100N) and the computer (desktop Mac OS X Version 10.6.8) unplugged for two months. When I enabled both, I wasn't able to print more. The two are connected by Ethernet (via an Airport Extreme 802.11n) cable
After printing the Configuration page, I noticed that the address of the printer HP JetSend is 10.0.1.8 now. It used to be 10.0.1.5
When I type http://10.0.1.8/hp/jetdirect, it is confirmed that the printer has a new address. When I go to preferences on the computer, followed by Print & Fax, I see the originating IP address always. When I go to options & offer, the originating IP address is present in the name and location boxes. I thought that I could just change the IP address both of these boxes to the new IP address. It does not work. (BTW and URL never lpd queue name change 10.0.1.5 to 10.0.1.8).
Then I thought that things would be solved by changing the new IP address to the former in the menu that appears when I look at http://10.0.1.8/hp/jetdirect. Which doesn't work anymore.
What Miss me?
It is resolved... I went to the Apple discussion Forum and saw this:OK, this one is solved. In Print & FAX preferences panel, click on the button "+" to add a printer. Define the contextual menu Protocol to "HP Jetdirect - taken". In the 'Address' field, enter the IP address of the HP 4100.
Leave the class 'tail' blank unless you use a print server. I'm not...
Set the 'Name' field to what you want as a name for this printer.
Set the field 'Place' to something that reminds you of where this printer is physically located.
Currently, Mac has probably already found the printer by its IP address, select the driver appropriate for you, and so all you need to do is click the Add button.
If anyone has the drivers for printers LaserJet 4000n work for Mac OSX 10.4 (Tiger), I would be extremely grateful if you could send them to me.
Mac G4 with Tiger was perfectly printing until the pilots were accidentally deleted in the Print/Fax system preferences window.
The G4 is connected to the printer via an Ethernet cable. The G4 is also online via WIFI. I spent countless days trying to downloads of drivers and none of them worked.
The company no longer offers a hotline this older but excellent printer. Please send me a message if you can help.
When you say that the printer is connected directly to the G4 with an ethernet cable do you mean that the printer is connected to the Mac (G4) with a network cable? Or do you mean a USB cable? If you are connected with a network cable, it must be a crossover cable (since you are not going through a switch or router). A regular ehternet cable will not work. If you are connected via USB, you should be able to find the printer.
Normally I would use the "default browser" and do not use AppleTalk, but because your computer can't see the printer and you have an IP address you can try typing the IP address of the printer in the 'JetDirect Socket' option - if you are not connected via USB.
I hope this helps!
I just bought a M521dn Pro Laserjet and a Jetdirect 2700w. However, the M521dn has only a USB port that does not recognize the Jetdirect. However, the Jetdirect 2700w is listed as an accessory for the M521.
The Jetdirect 2700w works with the M521dn?
Is there a hidden usb port, I am not find to connect to the wireless print server?
Thanks in advance!
HP jetdirect 2700w USB wireless print server support M521 series including M521dn. Your printer has 2 USB ports, one on the front (use for direct printing without a computer) and the normal port is at the back (not flat port, I usually call it as 'round' port' and you need a normal/standard USB printer cable to connect to the Jetdirect 2700w (round end in the printer and the flat end to the Jetdirect 2700w).)
Connection to HP Laserjet CP2025
Just replaced my printer laser jet CP2025 with a replacement from eBay (given that it works!) Previously used one daily for a few years without problem, it of the same model but keeps saying printer idle or not connected, even if it has been folded and selected on the screen. So, I deleted all of the printers in my preferences that I had amassed 6 different printers and use only 2 BUT now cannot add any back? I use OSX El Capitan on an iMac 2013 end suggestions would be appreciated

My LaserJet 4 works fine - just as HP promised when I bought it. Now, customer support HP told me that HP has made the choice NOT to write a driver for it to work with Windows 7. How can I use my LaserJet 4 - ideas? I hate to drop it into my local landfill.
In fact HP did write a driver, it is provided through Windows Update.
Available on the web sites of HP drivers do not work on our 64-bit Windows 7 computers.
Is anyone know about a feasible driver?

I read all the posts in this forum about the web services enabling ePrint to the question and tried all suggestions with no luck.
Here's the situation:
- The printer works fine on place. I can print without problem.
- The printer is connected.
- All my router ports are open for outbound connections, including UDP.
- Communication using log in my router I can see that the printer can resolve DNS names using either my ISP DNS server or the suggested 188.8.131.52 and 184.108.40.206. Using nslookup shows ' registration-pro - site1print.houston.hp.com "Decides to 220.127.116.11 and" registration-pro - site2print.houston.hp.com "Decides to 18.104.22.168.
This indicates that the printer can indeed resolve the addresses. Newspapers also Awakenings that the printer communicates with the servers (connection is established and data transferred) via https (probably the web service), but always after a few minutes the clearance process is to expire.
- I tried this allowing the procedure since a few days my believe that the recording servers should have worked some time during this period.
- I'm frustrated
- .. .even more frustrated
- what I am doing wrong?
- Help, please!

Trying to download the latest drivers (I couldn't scan with Easy Scan more after the release of macOS sierra 10.12) I received the following massage
No software or drivers are available for this product with the selected operating system. Please make a different selection, or visit the product home page.
PS: My OS has been identified correctly in the web page.
Thank you for joining the HP Forums!
I understand that there is no drivers for your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw on Mac OS X 10.12 Sierra. I am pleased to see that for you!
You are right that there are currently no drivers available at this time. In the meantime, I suggest trying the rest of this guide, of install a printer Mac driver by using Apple Software Updateand then try using the Apple Image Capture.
Otherwise, all we can do is wait for the drivers and software provision, or plan to use an older version of Mac OS X.
If it helps, please consider clicking on "accept as a solution." And, please click the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.
I hope this helps!
