LaserJet CP1525nw: Claer'style Wireless configuration - Laserjet CP1525nw

I had to replace a router in a neighbor's House, they used the object connected wireless printer.  The new router has forced me to change the password for the connection Wireless which was previously used.  The same SSID IS used on the router again.  I tried all attempts to reset the network settings on the printer, and whenever I do, and then repeat the wireless configuration, whether through WPS, PIN or CD-ROM and USB cable, in all cases, the connection fails and in the best case said security password is wrong or in the most serious cases that the printer is NOT the CORRECT wireless network.

More bizarre, set part aside from the absence of a solution on the forums of HP, or in the manuals, is that the printer keeps picking up an odd-ball, "HPCP1525-135f8d" SSID, mode is ad hoc and the INVESTIGATION period comes up with a "fake" number that does NOT correspond to a local network, 169.254.123.35.  I've seen IP like this before on the PC NIC cards that can not connect, I think that it's some sort of IP assigned internally, not any network device.  That combined with the fake SSID, I am convinced that the printer is at the origin of these BAD configuration data.

I tried to manually set the IP address, using a reserved IP address on the router that I've set up just for this printer.  Still nothing, it fails to connect, and collects and records this bad SSID and IP.

How the h * ll get you the NVRAM on the printer to remove this IP and FORGET that SSID?

Don't tell me to re - run the installer, I tried several times, which can temporarily erase data, but by re-running the installer again collects and RECORDS the wrong configuration data.

My best guess, and another solution that cannot be found ANYWHERE, is how do you do a HARD reset printer factory?  I had about my fill of the usability of these interface software and setup of HP!

Help!

I found this on a post above and it works for the person.  You must first connect the printer with an ethernet cable to your network router properly available ports and then follow the instructions below:

The non-taureau * beep * way to Setup your HP CP1525nw for Wireless Printing

    1. Connect the printer to your router via an ethernet cable.
    2. At this point, you will need to navigate through the LCD keys and a printer to the network installation. It is a simple menu tree that you access via clicking on the arrow buttons and clicking OK. Simply connect via Ethernet and use the DHCP protocol. It needs to connect to your network.
    3. Once the printer connects to your network, it will display its IP address on the printer's built-in LCD display.

Enter the IP address in a web browser on a computer that is on the same network. After clicking on enter you will be presented with an administration interface based on the web for your printer.

    1. Click on the tab 'network '.
    2. Click on "Wireless Network Configuration" in the options on the left.
    3. Status should be 'ON '.
Configuration method must be "join an existing network.
Name of the network is expected to present a list of available networks. Click on yours.
Authentication should be set according to your network
    4. Click on APPLY and disconnect the wired connection to the router. The little light on the front of the printer wireless flashes because it connects to your wireless router. Once the light is solid new IP address of the printer should be displayed on the built-in LCD screen.  You should now be able to connect using this ip address.

    Hello

Try to disable the auto power off feature and check if it can help you, the device should enter a power saving mode and not turn off completely:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02860533

If it does not help ensure the printer located near your router, but not less than 2 metres and check to see if that can help you.

If there is still no change don't try to update the latest firmware and check if this can help you:

    Hi Shane,

Looks like you have (or had) 3rd party software that previously managed your wireless connections, so casting service windows does not start automatically.

    See the following Article in the Microsoft KB, see if it suits it for you;

    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/871122

    More precisely:

If your computer or your wireless network card came with its own wireless network software, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, click run, type ncpa.cpl and click OK.
    2. Click on network connections.
    3. In network connections, select your wireless connection, and then click change settings of this connection.
    4. On the wireless networks tab, click to select the Use Windows to configure my wireless network checkbox.

To start the automatic Wireless Configuration service, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, click run, type %SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc/s, and then click OK.
    2. Double-click Wireless Zero Configuration.
    3. In the list of Startup type , click Automatic, and then click apply.
    4. In the Service status area, click Start, and then click OK.

I then tried to set up her pinter just using the USB cord.  He quickly walked through and said that installation is complete.  However, when I try to print, it shows the printer offline.  I tried to restart it with no luck.  The copy function works fine, but without a connection to the network or the computer, I can't print or scan anything.

Problem solved! Thank you very much!

I tried to delete the printer with the USB unplugged. When I went to add a printer, there is none listed and no place to go. I plugged the USB back in and it read it immediately. However, no still no joy Wireless Setup.

In applications, I was go to the hp and selection of the device Utilities folder. This time instead I selected the hp utility and got another screen. Down under settings of the printer, there was a marked wireless configuration icon. When I chose it, the process is different from the previous, but it worked.

I tried to go back and duplicate this process, but the printer settings section has more wireless configuration icon. I guess that's because I am now connected. In any case, thank you for taking the time to help me solve this problem!

  • Wireless configuration

As soon as I restart my computer, my wireless setting is lost and I need to reset again. Due to this problem, I have to keep my printer in condition when not in service.  How do I save my wireless configuration settings.

HP Photosmart Premium - printer all-in-one with fax

    Hi jeevasiva

You may need to set a manual/static IP address, the exact steps depend on exactly what the Photosmart Premium model you have (although you should be able to find that setting by digging into the configuration Menu on the front panel of the printer, the option that you're looking for is most likely labeled 'Settings IP' and must be inserted into the 'Network' menu).

The reason is that your wireless router can be disconnect/reconnect the device on the network in quick little bursts and assigning the unit a new IP (that your computer will not recognize automatically). If you set a manual IP address, then the installation will reconnect to the network with the same IP address every time, probably to alleviate this problem.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: I got a new modem and the router. I uninstalled the HP software, but wizzard wireless configuration is locked.

I uninstalled the software so I could start over.  Configuration Wizzard is locked and I can not understand how to get unlock.

    Hi @bobbalou,

Thank you for visiting the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printer problem.

I understand that you replaced your modem and router, but could not connect your HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer to the new network, because the wireless configuration wizard is locked. I would like to help with that.

Try to restore the default network before attempting to run the Wireless Setup Wizard.

    1. on the touch screen of the printer, press the right arrow to display the second navigation screen.

    2. press on the installation program icon.

    3. tap network, then press the default network.

If you are able to restore the default settings of the network is should allow you to run the Wireless Setup Wizard.

If you're locked up because he had a password set in place on the printer, you will need the password to access the server (EWS) of embedded printer online web to change the settings of the printer.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.
  • J6480 Wireless Configuration

    Hello

I recently bought a HP OfficeJet J6480 all-in-one. I can't get the wireless configuration to work.

It detects the wireless network (and a few other neighbours) However after WEP key error.

    I use & AT T DSL/Modem.

    Wireless

    Channel:

    Mode is 802. 11 b / g.

    Model: 2701HG - B Gateway

    6 (2437 MHz)

    Authentication: Open system encryption: WEP

All I have to do it on my own modem?

    TIA

    Sam.

Try to disconnect the telephone line from the AT & T DSL modem, turn it off for 30 seconds and then turn it back on with the disconnected phone line.  Now try to configure the J6480 again.

If it works, then there is one more step to do before connecting the phone line - we have static IP assigned to the printer.  On the J6480, the easiest way is via the printer's internal web page:

    1. Open the printer web page by accessing its IP address
    2. Select the networking without wire then Configuration IPv4.
    3. Select Manual IP.
    4. Enter the IP address of the printer in the manual IP address field.
    5. Enter 255.255.255.0 subnet mask of manual.
    6. Enter the IP address of the router - wireless in the field manual's default gateway.
    7. Select apply.
    8. Finally, connect the telephone line.
  • HP laserjet pro M1536dnf wireless configuration in order to use Air printing

Since I am trying to print from my new Ipad Air, excuse my newbie questions for networking printing!

    What I know so far:

    1. I understand my printer HP laserjet pro M1536dnf is 'not' a WiFi printer.

2 by HP support and Apple Support web sites, my printer HP laserjet pro M1536dnf is 'Air Print' active. I guess that a certain update must incorporated the Betacam Air Print!

    3. According to the web site of the HP Support, I have currently the latest firmware installed (20130815).

Note: On my Config report, it shows the status for IPv4 and IPv6 as "network cable unplugged". I have the address IP Show as active.

    3. my home configuration has the internet cable from my modem cable to my router wireless Linkys E3200 via a coaxial cable. Between my router and my computer is connected through the Ethernet cable. My printer HP Laserjet 1536dnf printer is connected to my computer via a USB cable.

    Issues related to the:

    1. go to after I saw and read about on-line, is correct to say "I'll have to change my Ethernet cable from the router to the computer and change it to leave the router to the Ethernet port on the printer?"

    2. do I have to remove the USB from the printer to the computer?

    3. by removing the USB cable between the printer and the computer, how my computer would communicate to the printer to perform a print job? Unless, I suppose, I add another Ethernet cable between the router and the ethernet port on my computer!

4 other advice, I might have missed?

    @RicharddR

Thanks for your post on the forums of hp.com. Here are answers to your specific questions:

    1. you must have all your devices on the same cable modem network: computer, printer, mobile devices. Looks like your Setup is similar to mine. I have mine with the modem installation cable to my Cisco router that broadcast wireless signal. Then I have my devices on this router (computer, printer, mobile devices).

    2. If you use Airprint, you put your printer on a network or wireless. Since your printer is a model of dnf (D - duplex, n = network, f = fax), you must use a network cable and add it to your router. AirPrint is not supported via the USB port.

    3. If you remove the USB cable between the printer and the computer, you need to add your computer to the same network as your added to the printer. You can either do this via the ethernet cable or wireless depending on the capacities of the router and the computer. The important thing is that all the devices are on the same network.

    4. for other tips: make sure everything (computer, printer, router, mobile devices, etc.) are on the same network, otherwise you will not be able to print or have communication problems such as print jobs do not print.

    Good luck.

  • LaserJet Pro cp1025nw MAC OS 10.8 wireless configuration

I have a new HP LaserJet Pro CP1025nw color printer, an iMAC running OS 10.8, an iPad and iPhone.

I configured the printer very well via USB port of the iMAC.  I can print from the computer, but I can't leave my iDevices.  I understand that I can no longer use the CD that came with the printer, or the last download of HP to set up the wireless or install the new firmware because I get the "install HP' can not open because he...» "error.  So I have three questions 1. How can I configure the wireless on the HP printer using my iMac running 10.8, 2. How can I activate Apple's AirPrint and 3. How to install the latest firmware (ver. 20120130) in my printer using MAC OS 10.8.  Your help would be great.

None of the options I found in HP forums allowed me to configure my printer wireless using MAC OS 10.8. I've been by the dint of borrow a laptop running windows 7.  I plugged in the wireless, used the disk supplied with the printer to install on the network, downloaded the upgrade of farm and installed it. All my apple and iDevices computers see the printer. It works like a charm.
