LaserJet M1536 DNF: Laserjet M1536

Computer #1 has the installed printer have it and do not have any problems.  It is connected via USB.

On the #2 computer, install the new printer and connect to \\computer#1\HP LJ M1530 and complete the installation.

Print the test without any problem.  Go to the computer #2 overnight and the printer is there but do not print.  Examine the properties of the printer, Ports and it is completely empty.  Need to remove the printer and reinstall to get it working.

No idea why the Ports tab would become empty?  Both computers on all night long and they connect to the inverters...  I have tried turning the printer off and turn it back on to see if it would continue to print and he did.  Any help is greatly appreciated...

No idea but try something different. On the computer that the printer is not connected remove the printer, turn off the computer and then turn it back on. Now reload the printer but for the port use lpt1 and do not use automatic detection. When you get to the page of decision-makers to load the driver and finish the installation. Now on this computer go to devices and printers and right click and scroll down the first properties and then click on ports add port and in the box that appears in the name of the port you have and apply and save the settings and see if it holds now.

    Good,

So I have a LaserJet M1536 I installed the drivers on my computer to WIndows 7 (64-bit). It worked fine for printing until last night and I can't for the life of me it works again.

I have the computer plugged into the network, and it worked until I tried to scan a document. It would not work, and then after that nothing would print. The e-print on a mobile device will work but not from my windows machine. I tried to run the doctore scan and it says everything is working.

I then uninstalled the drivers and I downloaded the latest version of the HP technical support.  Still doesn't solve it.

After that, I have disabled the firewall on the computer (the windows firewall and the firewall that comes with my suite Norton anti-virus. Still no luck.

I restarted the printer, my PC, my network (modem and router) several times.

Is someone can you please help me solve my problem, because it is really holds my productivity and I spend a lot of time on this issue.

What I am doing wrong? The only thing I have not tried is assign a static IP address to the printer.

Thanks for letting me know TFroehlichIII.

What type of router you use, or you use a server like the one mentioned post?

When you add the printer port, must be a TCP/IP port.

I have a few other things you can try.

Power cycle the router, restart the computer, then on the printer.

Check the IP address, to ensure that it is the same thing.

Then run the Add Printer Wizard.

You can always restore your computer to an earlier era where everything was working properly. It could be a Windows Update or a router that has caused this problem.

    For Windows 7 system restore.

How to refresh, reset or restore your PC on Windows 8.

If the problem persists, I recommend to call the HP Technical Support for assistance. They can remotely to your computer and see more of what's going on. Call the 800-474-6836. Hi Bisciut

I understand that installation will charge only up to 99%.

I can help you with this.

I have included a document to allow you to update the driver, who must be still listed in Device Manager, as long as the USB cable is plugged. Installing the printer with an Ethernet connection shouldn't you give all the errors and continue the installation, if you wanted to put in network printer.

    Hi@sulbihar ,

I understand that you encounter problems installing the printer software. I would really like to be able to help solve this problem.

Turn on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation. The USB cable should not be more then 6 feet.

I have provided a few steps to try, to see if we can get the printer completely installed on the Windows 7 computer.

    Unplug the USB cable.

Uninstall the software from the CD: press the Windows key and the E key to access the window from the computer. Make a left click Open in a new window, right click on the printer CD, double click on uninstall.

Perform a clean boot on the computer and disable the Antivirus software. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Rerun the installation, just after connecting the USB cable, (make sure that the USB cable is connected directly to the computer and not a host or hub station) immediately follow this document.  A fatal error during Installation of the software. After that, the installation should continue.

If there is anything else I can help you, let me know.

    Good day!
    Thank you.

    Hi claudiopolis,.

I see that you have some problems with the activation of the web services.
I will do my best to help you with this problem.

As he was working previously, I think he might have an auto update on router.

Disable IPv6 on the printer to see if that is causing the problems.

Click the Configuration button (key) network configuration, IPv6, network services and turn it off.

Try to enable web services again.

If you still have questions then I restore the default values for the printer and try the installation again.

Unplug the Ethernet cable from the printer.

Go to the setup button (key) service, restore the default values.

Print the configuration page to find out the IP address.

    Print a Configuration report.

    Select the method.

Access the webserver integrated for the printer again and try to activate web services.

If that does not work then go to the manual select tab, IPv4, network layout, enter the settings disable configuration report. (do not create a new IP address) address preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8 and other DNS address: 8.8.4.4.

Apply the settings and return to the Web Services tab and try to activate again.

Here is a list of printer ports: 137/138/139/161/427/9100/9220/9500.

    Ports scanner: 9220, 9500/427.

I would like to know how it goes for you!

It seems that your printer can be supported, although I have to admit that I'm not 100% familiar w/LaserJet models.  You must confirm that your is part of the printers HP Color LaserJet Pro M1536 series, it seems that it is.

If it is supported, you can follow these steps to activate ePrint in the post below:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/eprint-print-apps-mobile/how-to-remove-amp-re-enable-Web-services-on-LaserJet-printers/TD-p/409291

An update of the firmware may be necessary to add support for printing on LaserJet printers at the moment, before you can activate ePrint.

  • WWindows7 HP laserjet 1536 crash 64-bit

Product name: HP LaserJet Pro M1536 multifunction printer

    OS: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit

This is a new installation, nothing complicated, the computer is running MS Office 2010 and a House written request. The computer/printer may not show the signs of distress in a day or two, but suddenly the computer crashes when you send something to print. Sometimes printing from Excel, Word, or the original application. I suspect that the printer drivers, but there again, that would happen with each print out. I don't know if the installation disk supplied with sopport for W7 64 bit, but as I said, it prints fine for a while. Any ideas?

I fell on the same subject.  Here's what I found, I had plugged the printer on a USB 3.0 slot and had not upgraded the USB drivers.   I simply move the printer to a USB 2.0 cable (blue Ports are 3.0, 2.0 black) and arrested blue screen crashes.  After checking that it was the USB 3.0 port, causing the issues I've updated USB drivers.

Has worked for me, thought I'd share.

It is a great place to get help! I read your post and see that you are unable to install the printer on the computer Windows 10. Thank you for providing all the information and the screenshot. I want to help you solve this problem.

I have provided with steps to unlock the hidden administrator account and the installation of the printer on this account to see if this will help this situation.

Note: Do not connect the USB cable until you are prompted during the installation.

    • Go to your Start menu and in the box "search programs and files", type CMD.
    • CMD will fill as an option to search above, just right-click on it and "run as Administrator".
    • Once opens in CMD (command prompt), type net user administrator / Active: Yes and press ENTER.
    • Then, close CMD and then restart your computer.
    • When your computer is on the newspaper in the new account which should show. It will be called Administrator and will not have a password on it.
    • If your computer automatically connects to your account after the restart then go to your Start menu and click on the arrow next to 'shutdown' and choose 'change user '. Now log on to the administrator account, that we have just released.
    • Under the administrator account, install the printer software.
    • Immediately after connecting the USB cable, follow the steps described in this paper: A Fatal Error displays during Installation of the software. This should resolve this error message.
