LaserJet p2055dn "jam in cartridge area.

I clear a jam of recent paper (for labels) and the printer works fine.

However, if I try to use the "direct delivery" option when opening the door, I get an error message "Paper jam in the area - open the cartridge door and clear jam."

I can't find a paper jam, but simply closing the door from behind and put back the cartridge, clears the error message, and I am able to print via the upper output tray.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

  • LaserJet P2055dn: LaserJet P2055dn on Server 2003 R2 environment

I have a Windows Server 2003 32-bit R2 network environment in which I have several printers of several different models that are deployed through the print via Group Policy clients.  The clients are Windows 7 Professional 32 bit upward through this year.  This year I finally went to a customers of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.  All printers deployed on all 32-bit clients with no problems, but there is only one, LaserJet P2055dn printer, I have 2 that will not deploy new 64-bit clients.  All other printers model deployment and install correctly.  If I try to install the P2055dn printer on the 64-bit client as a network printer everything seems to start to install, but it fails with the message 'X connection to printer Windows cannont connect to the printer.' with "the operation failed with error 0x0000007e" under display invisible characters.  Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?  Thank you!!

This problem has been resolved.  I was adding 64-bit via the button drivers additional drivers add tab of the properties of the printer share.  When I removed the driver I installed in printing management and installed there, the problem has been resolved.  The printer is now deployed as my other printers.

  • LaserJet P2055DN print quality problems

    Hi all

New to the forum but plan on using it quite frequently as I am responsible for a large group of HP printers.  The problem I have is with a printer HP Laserjet p2055dn pritner.  I feel some ghosting along the right and left a few impressions I did some research and I * think * the fuser unit is at fault, but I wanted to ask before ordering this part.

I ran several pages of cleaning with this printer because the problem started, and although it seems to help a little, the problem never goes away completely.  It started a few months ago and the prinouts were originally just Sales, but now they're starting to ghost.

    Hello

The problem of ghosting is caused by the fusion station most of the time. The roll of the main user has a coating Teflon preventing toner to stick, when the door of coating you starts to become the ghost of impression that you are experiencing. You can get furnaces replacement online from many sources, just do a Google search for Fuser P2055DN.
OR you can search the HP shopping for the same site and order it.

    I hope this helps!

The mechanics of the plateau of the envelope has a problem.  He won't shoot an envelope into the printer to print an address.  He goes through the motions but will not seize the envelope.  If I put one or 8 envelopes into the tray, it makes no difference.  I understand there is a 'wheel' that needs to be replaced.  Are there any other suggestions before throwing in the towel and take to a repair shop?

  • HP Laserjet 4 p: cleaning cartridge

Anyone know what is the best or right way to clean a laserjet 4 p toner cartridge?

    Hello Huff,

    Thanks for the clarification.

Here are some possible solutions that I found:

    HP LaserJet 4 L, 4ML, 4 p and 4MP series printers

    Print cartridge

If the distance between each occurrence of the default print matches the circumference figure in the table below, replace the print cartridge.

From the web UI the error shows that:

    well in place.
    To view SUPPLIES
    STATUS, press on "?" to

    then press X.

The built-in LCD display, it shows that all 4 cartridges are not installed.  I reinstalled and replaced without success.  The diagnosis of disable cartridge I would like to print a test page (without printing anything on paper of course), narrowing of the troubleshooting.  Our company is to buy cheaper cartridges from Staples instead of HP, but this has not changed and has worked with the printer before recently.  Recently, someone has changed the cartridges and loosed a spring on unrolling transfer.  Here are my questions for the community:

    1. where can I check if the cartridges are recommended HP?

    2. where can I find a service manual for the transfer kit and cartridge loading areas are set up correctly?

    Edit

With Diagnostics enabled disabled cartridge, the test pages are not able to print.  In the process of troubleshooting, I have about 30 pages printed and got 1 out the top normally.  The 1 that came out before was a stroke of luck.  The error is jam in the TOP COVER, there are 2 pages stuck, the first one was just before the block of detecting color registration.

    3. How can I clear the error message on the cartridges is not not present?

After completing the service manual troubleshooting steps in table 7-2 (at page 277), I decided to replace the controller memory of the electronic label PCB.  This does not solve the problem.  After seeing a small piece of metal near the lower left corner of the ETB, I found it in the manual (Figure 6-40, page 221).  I couldn't get it back in so I decided to take the drum out of re training - install (page 219-221).  It worked!

    1.  ? but it wasn't a problem.

    2. Google.

    3. install the drum drive assembly binding arm that has not already been installed.

  • Windows 7 LaserJet P2055dn - No. auto both sides print

I am running 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate and my LaserJet P2055dn printer attached USB works fine EXCEPT it may not be able to manually print on both sides. If I understand the situation correctly, the printer driver that is installed by the operating system is for Color LaserJet P2050 Series PCL6. The HP site, it seems that if, unlike Vista, there is no specific driver for Windows 7 for the LaserJet P2055dn. I can live with this situation, but I would appreciate your comments or suggestions on how I can activate auto two side printing on this printer.

HP has a document that describes what you need to do to activate automatic duplexing on the CP2025. The address of the page is:

  • D7360 does not print in "Black Only", unless the color cartridges are also not empty

I try to print a document in grayscale mode with Photosmart D7360 printer.

In the Print Setup dialog explicitly checks the possibility of using 'Black Print Cartridge Only'.

The printer refuses to print, in saying:

«The following ink cartridges are empty: Light Cyan.» Replace the ink cartridges to resume printing.

"The printer doesn't have enough ink to ensure printer health. Empty ink cartridges need to be replaced to resume. »

This means that even if it does not use the color cartridges, each of them must be non-empty when the printer is in operation?

  • printer will work if the color cartridges are ink

I have an Officejet 4620. My computer says all the ink cartridges are out of ink. I can always print in black. I need to replace the color cartridges?   The printer uses individual cartridges for red, blue and yellow cartridges. Color will be printed in blue and yellow only, so I guess there is little color left.

I usually do not need color copies and I have another Copier.

    Hello @Connsu,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you today with your color cartridge application today. Because your printer uses four cartridges: HP 564 black, HP 564 Cyan, Magenta 564 HP and HP 564 yellow, if one or all of these color cartridges are exhausted replace them to continue using the printer. Your HP Officejets ink system is designed to print when have all ink cartridges. A little ink in each cartridge is used for maintenance and maintenance tasks completed by your printer to keep the print head system in your printer in good working order.

The print head is the part that the cartridges will fit. It controls the "reading" of the cartridges and put the ink on the page. If the printhead is not able to perform regular maintenance, due to depleted cartridges, there is a chance that the mechanism of the print head gets dirty. If the printhead is damaged in any way a whole unit replacement may be necessary. For more information about using ink please click here.

In the future, if you mainly print in black from the computer, you can set your printer driver to use black ink only. Normally when you print from your computer files will be sent to your printer as "images". If your printer "thinks" it prints an image file that ink color will be used to enrich the black ink. If you don't want that to happen, you can enable grayscale printing option.

    • How to set grayscale in Windows:
    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Click on devices and printers
    3. Right click on your printer and select Printing Options
    4. Click on features or Advanced
    5. Select the Grayscale dropdown and replace Black Ink only
    6. Click apply and OK

If you ever want to print in color that you just open the document to print, click Properties in the print dialog box and change black ink only on OFF. This setting only will change to print one job and will return to black ink only for future jobs.

    • How to set levels of gray on Mac:
    1. In the software application, click print
    2. Select your printer
    3. Click Paper Type/quality menu
    4. Click the triangle next to Color Options
    5. In the color menu, select Grayscale or black & white
    6. Select the printing black only ink cartridge
    7. Click print

Please let me know if the information provided solves your color cartridge problems. I look forward to hear from you!

  • Print fades before one or more cartridges are empty

I have a HP Photosmart Premium C309a.  My computer operating system is Windows XP.

Without warning my bland impression.  I have check the cartridges.  Sometimes, it is obvious that a cartridge should be replaced, but mostly it's not obvious.  I can not restore print until ALL cartridges are replaced even if it is obvious that we have a lower level of ink than others.

More recently the black print faded to close unexpectedly.  I checked the cartridges.  The black of the photo was low (and I rarely use this printer/copier to print photos) so I replaced it.  All other cartridges show at least half full or better.  Still no black printing.  So I replaced the other black ink cartridge.  Still no black printing.  I guess if I go out and spend $100 or more for a new set of cartridges that my impression is restored.  If I do, that will make it 3 times that I had to do - basically as far as I can tell I'm throwing cartridges which should always be functional.  I downloaded the doctor print and Scan and he tells me that everything is fine.  If I print a test page for this diagnostic tool more I test printed other tools help pages and help depending on what tool I use me either to get a white or black page without a photo is missing.

My last attempt to solve this issue is to uninstall and reinstall the printer.  If this does not work I will abandon hope and replace this all-in-one.  I am very disappointed because when it works it is wonderful.  But when it does not work I get no warning and it costs too much to get my feel back.

Someone else meets it?  is there anything else I should have done, and I'm not?  Thanks for any help.

So I went shopping for a new printer and that's when I discovered that this problem of cartridge seems to stretch on at least another brand.  A person writes a review on another brand of printer called a program 'passive income '.  No matter that all but one of the cartridges is full.  If your printer decides that a cartridge is low, all cartridges must be replaced in order to print correctly again.  It's about $100 bucks on the C309a.

Ok.  I wanted an answer and I have one.  There is no support or troubleshooting this problem.  Just go buy 5 cartridges new if they are out of ink or not, and're you good to go.

  • OfficeJet 4635 cancel the firmware update because my ink cartridges are for older versions of the product

I was happy with my officejet 4635 until I clicked on ok to apply for the HP firmware update. He said that it would improve my printer. However, demand has not said that my ink cartridges may not work if I installed the update. I clicked on ok and the update has been successfully installed. Now I can't print anything because I get an error message saying the I have ink cartridges are designed for older versions of the product. I do not use the new HP cartridges because they cost too much. I used cartridges refilled abacus in Az. Phhoenix which worked fine up until I did the update of the firmware of HP. I need to go back to the old system, so I can print again. I am connected to a desktop computer HP envy running windows 8.1. I'm furious HP to try and force you to buy their new cartridges with an update of something. I think that whoever came up with this update should be fired. Any help with a solution would be appreciated.

I was told that there is no way to undo the update of the firmware. HP did send me a few ink cartridges so I could print again, but I am still ticked about the way this has been ensured by HP. They have not told me that my old version cartridges would not more work after updating firmware. I think that it is simply dishonest on part of HP and I am sure that other customers have been captured by this update of the firmware. I am sure it was a HP effort going to force you to use their new cartridges. I'll be very careful on the acceptance of the updates from HP in the future.
