Last date to activate Windows XP
I am aware that on April 8, 2014 will be the end of support for XP. Has a date been set when XP can no longer be activated? We have systems in place with long life cycles. Sometimes a hard drive will fail, and he must reinstall and activate XP.
Ability to activate will remain until at one point MS publishes a patch to remove the obligation (which they promised many years ago, and it's always the plan, as far as I know).
In other words, you can use XP for as long as you have hardware that will run - and have a real key

Activate Windows and data manager has stopped working
Why then I reply to an email from Microsoft easily? This is my answer to a previous email sent by Microsoft, which was not helpful.
There's no option to activate Windows by phone. It is said either "Buy a new online product key," "Type a different product key", or "contact Microsoft to help solve this problem." I did not any changes to this computer beside the normal windows updates. The matter of eating data is due to download iLivid, which
I uninstalled and it always appears. I can't get rid of it. The biggest problem is that activation of Windows. It makes no sense at all. Why should I activate Windows when I originally it activated 6 or 7 years ago, when I bought? I don't have the original cd. I don't have the product key, but it seems as if there is a block on that when I try to enter the letters and numbers, must not be letters. Last recovery disc, how do I activate windows 8
Hello
My laptop hard drive has been damaged. so I bought a new hard drive and installed windows 8 Enterprise 90 day trial I downloaded from the microsoft Web site. I lost my recovery disc. My lap top is not the product key sticker. I have only my laptop registration details. my laptop is HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14-b002tx, model: C0N51PA.
How can I activate windows license?
Thank you
Germaine
You cannot activate Windows Enterprise. Windows 8 computers do not come with discs of recovery or stickers.
To install Windows on your new hard drive, you must use a recovery disk you have created yourself, or receive one of HP. They can charge you for a drive.

Hello
Now, I get an activation error when trying to activate Windows 7. Buy Dell laptop in 2011 with 64-bit, immediately downgraded to 32-bit. I reinstalled a couple of times as 32-bit over the years as ultimate and reinstalled as 64-bit last week. The phone activation option is no longer accessible. MGADiag output are:

Strange that Ultimate would come preinstalled as it is normally only Home Premium.
Try to open an elevated command prompt type slui 4, follow the instructions to make the robocall. If it fails, stay on the line to talk with activation agent.
Otherwise, you will need to contact Dell. They must have sold you a special Ultimate OEM disc at some point?

Windows can not activate at this time, try to activate Windows later.
I bought my laptop 2 months ago and activated windows when I started it upward. Last week, however, for some unknown reason my laptop won't start properly so I had to do a restore to an earlier date. This good all worked but every time I start up it takes me to the screen of the PC settings and tells me to activate windows. When I click on activate "control key" text flashes for a split second, then disappears, nothing happens and it says above "Windows can not activate at this time, try to activate Windows later. If the problem persists, contact Microsoft and online support to activate Windows. "It is incredibly boring because all the days Windows spends half an hour to start the download of updates only so he can fail and take half an hour to undo the changes." My laptop came with Windows 8, so I have not updated. I know my activation key but have nowhere to enter the PC changes screen. I also tried to run the slmgr.vbs-ipk command prompt - followed my unsuccessful activation key, I get error 0 x 80070426. When I go to the Control Panel, system and security, Center of the action, activation of windows and click on activate since there I get error 0xC0000022
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance. Please see the link I copy below. Hope it will work for you.

Envy 15 t q300: activate Windows after add SSD
-Recently, I bought an mSATA SSD and add to my book. Now I want to reinstall Windows 10 in this SSD, my Windows 10 is now on the HARD drive. Windows will automatically activate once I installed windows SSD or what I can do to activate it? My settings shows that 10 Windows activation is enabled with a digital entitlement, what is?
-J' have a the HP USB recovery order, can I use it to install Windows 8.1 (my laptop came with Win 8.1) to my SSD?
-One last thing, in disk management, there 2 partitions hidden before Windows (C, healthy (recovery Partition) and healthy (EFI System Partition), which ones, and if I reinstall windows SSD my windows will work fine without these 2 partitions?) I deleted the recovery partition in my HARD using HP Recovery management disk but the healthy (recovery Partition) has not disappeared.
Excuse me for my English, I hope understand you.

Older versions of Windows offer a product key to activate Windows (as it is written on a sticker COST or built-in BIOS/UEFI).
Windows 10 offers another option, called right digital.
Probably, you had older versions of Windows and free upgrade to win 10. In order to keep your old version keys active Windows, Microsoft enabled Windows 10 using the new method. Win 10 has been activated using Windows 7 or 8 button, then this key would have been valid for the 2 versions of Windows (which is impossible).
More information about this new option:
> http://www.winbeta.org/news/digital-entitlement-a-new-method-of-activation-in-windows-10
Maybe you can get temporary, the computer HARD disk and reinstall Windows on the SSD drive. Then you can insert the HDD tray in and when everything is ready, you can format the HARD drive and use it as an extra.
If your computer came with Windows 8.1 or 7 preinstalled and later upgraded to Windows 10, you can use the recovery media to install the previous edition of Windows, and then upgrade to Windows 10
Alternatively, you can try to clone your disk SSD using a software like Clonezilla:

Requirement to activate windows when suddenly it works fine
I have been using a legitimate copy of XP for over a year. It was working fine this morning. When I turned on my computer back this afternoon I was prompted to activate windows and not more, without submitting it online or by calling can not move forward. My registry data has been erased because of a virus / phishing? Or is it legitimate? How will I know?
Hi borneoM,You may have to contact the Support of Activation team for assistance on this issue: -
Activate Windows XP window opens but activation options are not loaded
Recently, I installed a second HDD in my system and had no problems for the last three days. When I started my computer this morning, he said that my hardware configuration has changed and I need to activate windows. When he asked if I wanted to activate Windows now, I clicked Yes and "Activate Windows" open window, but there is no option loaded (like internet activation and activate by phone). So, if I could not activate Windows.
The window load the blue background with the watermark of the keys and nothing else. The small orange line around the bottom of the page does not move (I don't know if it's supposed to). I opened the window several dozen times and have tried leaving the window open for a few hours with no result.
I have tried to delete the second HDD and looked at similar positions. I also tried the solutions involving reinstalling IE8. I tried another solution involving the boot in safe mode with command prompt and run "rundll32.exe syssetup, SetupOobeBnk' making my days to activate the increase from 3 days to 30 days. And I tried running "oobe/msoobe / has" which has just opened the window "Activate Windows", that still does not solve my problem since the options to activate wouldn't load.
For any help or suggestion would be appreciated.
There is no options under settings on the Advanced tab of the "Internet Options" dialog box in Windows Internet Explorer 7

Repeated requests to activate Windows, when I connect my laptop
I get a message telling me that I need to activate Windows before I can move forward. This problem seems to coincide when I upgraded my laptop to IE8. I did this as well via the internet and by phone to generate a new ID, but the problem recurs every day. Last weekend, I got a message saying that I should give my COA in order to proceed. After a few trials and tribulations I soke to a support person of client who gave me a new ID number and assured me the problem would be solved. A week later and I'm back to where I started from and had turn on my PC by calling the hotline. I would like to know how can I solve this problem

Cannot activate Windows, the product key already in use
Original title: product key already in use.
Recently, my computer crashed (power). Try to avoid problems with my hard drive, I bought the same computer exactly on the line. I installed my old hard drive on the newest computer and all is well... Except, when trying to activate my Windows Vista Ultimate OS I get the error message "The key of product already in use" Microsoft site confirms that the product key is authentic, but still will not let me activate. All solutions?
Your old computer had a "Retail" or "OEM" of Windows installed version?
OEM versions are related to the 1st motherboard they are installed and can not be activated on another motherboard. The only exception is the 'mother' is exactly the same make / model / part number as the original motherboard.
Commercial versions can be moved from one computer to another without problem except that the the phone activation may be required.
