Latest Skype causes Blue Screen of Death

Whenever I have install/update Skype on windows 7 to the current version, I get a blue screen as I can't use older versions because he says "Skype cannot connect." Any help on any of these questions is accepted. Thank you.

You can try to uninstall the version 6.18 and install the previous 6.14.0.104 Skype version using the download links provided here:

  • Function key on Satellite L500 causes Blue Screen Of Death

    OK, I have a Satellite L500 and I got it in December 2009. Since I got it, if I ever press the function key the BSOD appears and the computer restarts. I put t in particular use the key function often, but it of just in case I press the wrong button and it s a nice feeling not not to have a button of computer laptop-suicide haunts my keyboard.

    Also if I decide to close the laptop completely and turn it back on at a later date, it of likely that it will be displayed as well. I have no idea as to why this is, but any help would be appreciated.

  • KB2503665 causes a blue screen of death during restart

    I'm on a Samsung Q210 running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 and used to have automatic updates enabled. Yesterday after installation of updates, the PC crashed with a BSoD during boot. I used Safe Mode to uninstall the updates one by one, and I've identified KB2503665 to be causing the blue screen of death. I tried to contact Microsoft support, but for some reason any their site tells me my ID of the computer cannot be used in the country, I reside (although I am sure that the version of Vista and the serial number are 100% legit).

    Is it possible to configure the automatic updates as it automatically excludes this update in the future?

    I recently started having the blue screen of death, and this is the error message I get.  PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA the problem seems to be caused later file rt73.sys

    What this has to do with my wireless network card? I have a Netopia Wireless usb adapter. I unplugged it and my computer started fine but the minute I plugged it I got the screen again. not sure if this is whats causing the blue screen.

    The minidump file showed a KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e) stop error caused by the eamonm.sys:

    ekrn.exe is the process that crashed.

    The eamonm.sys and the ekrn.exe are components of ESET NOD32 antivirus.

    As the eamonm.sys seems to be an older version try the NOD32 update to the latest version.

    It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (look for the BIOS and driver
    updates.)

  • Blue screen of death + other errors

    Hi, I do not know what to do. I have a Dell Inspiron N7110 and run on Windows 7, and I can't seem to do anything either on my laptop without eventually getting the blue screen of death or some sort of memory error.

    This is my blue screen:

    If this isn't the case, blue screen, I usually get this error:

    Sometimes, my office will suddenly disappear completely except for the background and I have no choice but to force stop completely, because I can't do anything else. Other times, my entire screen suddenly stops responding, and when I close the lid to get rid of the screen, it will just stay lit when the lid is down, and won't do anything else, once again I have to force close down.

    I seriously have no idea what is going on, and I do not understand computer jargon very well, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Suffered with this years.  The latest DMP file is since September 2015 but I suspect all 50 of them are related to Symantec.   I remove it and use MSE in its place.

    Symantec is a common cause of BSOD.


    I remove and replace it with Microsoft Security if you are using Windows 7 and if you win 8 or higher, use the built-in Defender.
