The latest version of firefox 3.6.6 does not work on my windows xp computer. He will not open Web sites. I have now downgraded to an older version of Fire Fox.
== I've updated to the latest version of firefox 3.6.6
It seems that you're still using Firefox 3.0.19 version or your useragent is messed up. Try updating Firefox, see updating Firefox to the latest version

I had Windows 8/1 on my desktop Dell XPS 8500 with 24 GB of memory; a fast machine. I have a strong internet connection through my phone company Qwest; still works perfectly. Firefox worked fine. Then, last week or so I downloaded the upgrade of Windows 10 and since then, I continue to have problems. Firefox has slowed to a crawl, when it works. It often breaks down, web pages, I'll often does not open.
I tried to re - set my modem; no improvement.
I "asked" Mozilla how to fix and the answer I got online didn't make any sense. My Firefox - which is the last - had none of the places the answer told me to go.
Line 4 icon does not open as the answer say in 'options '.
Obviously, I'm not an expert, but I'm not a fool. I can follow the signs except the indications that I received was irrelevant to everything I could find on my Firefox to my display screen.
When I re - configure Firefox I lost too much of what I had saved. I won't do that again.
Is there a problem with Windows 10 and Firefox? Like I said, on 8.1 everything was exceptional.
Is there a conflict with software I use?
Where should I look to find answers?
Also, I could NOT access the Firefox health report. Directions to find it, I received are not
correspond to anything on my Firefox or my Options page.

In the last 24 hours (from April 27), FF4.0 became incredibly slow, unable to open many sites completely or correctly (i.e., BBC NEWS, Twitter) or the opening of sites but not able to use fully (i.e. opens hotmail but did not open any new messages). This is not the case with Chrome or I.e. browsers seems to be specific FF.
This is probably due to the WangWang (ww-plugin), you have installed. Disable it in Tools | Add ons | Plugins and then see troubleshooting issues with plugins like Flash or Java to solve problems of Firefox for instructions on how to uninstall it.
Please also go to the Plugins check page and see if the version of Flash you have installed currently needs to be updated or not. I don't recognize the version you have installed.
If the problem persists after the above troubleshooting steps, please try running Firefox in questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode. If it works properly in this configuration, then one of your modules is the culprit.

Links will not open Web pages in Firefox (they will be in other browsers).
I have re downloaded Firefox and reinstalled. But in vain. Won't open links in web pages. Can do in Safari. Download Chrome. But if I can't solve this problem, I'll have to give up Firefox.
You can try Mode without failure of Firefox to see if the problem goes away? You can restart Firefox Safe mode either by:
- By clicking on the menu button
click Help
and selecting restart with disabled modules, or;
- Now the button option key when starting Firefox.
If the problem is not present in Mode without failure of Firefox your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration.
Let us know how you go.
- By clicking on the menu button

Firefox does not work. Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and it still will not open.
Do not get the error messages. At first it would take a long time to open, or several times I had to click the icon so he can start. Now after several times to uninstall, reinstall and restarted my computer, Firefox no longer works for me at all.
I did at first and did not have much. All of a sudden when I was on IE Firefox just starting up. I don't know if it was a hiccup or something, but he has just come. Now it's working.

Scrapie to screen using the latest version of firefox
Just noticed my screen flickered when all the pages scroll.
I tried to activate and deactivate hardware acceleration and even still images.
IM using the latest version of firefox and this problem does not occur with Internet Explore.
I have a problem with the flash from time to time, where the solution is simple disable or restart firefox.
I also have the latest version of flash.Safe mode disables all modules and user settings. If that happens again
with all the add-on disabled, it may be a setting under Subject: configType Subject: support in the address bar and press on Enter.
Under the main banner, press the button; Copy the text to the Clipboard..
Then in the box to answer at the bottom of this page,
right-click the area and select block.
This will show us the details of your system.

Preview will not open the hyperlink to the specific DOI PDF format
Hi all
I generated a PDF of markdown by Pandoc (with xelatex as the tex engine); the PDF document contains hyperlinks URLS. One of hyperlinks is a specific address of DOI: doi:10.2307 / 488160. In Adobe Acrobat Reader, this link accurately opens in Firefox (my default browser) and is then solved using a DOI Manager that I have in firefox. Overview, however, will not open the link. When you click, you get just that boing sound error.
I believe this may have to do with the security aspects of preview that are cooked in the program - what kind of overview is able to open external files. There was a discussion on this here, but it is not exactly answered my question: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/119299/why-preview-app-refuse-to-open-local-lien-dans-un PDF file.
If this isn't a connected safety side overview, is it possible to adjust preferences overview way treats the links that start by "doi:"? Other ideas.
Note: I know there is a better way to include the Doi in Tex docs (with the DOI package) as the starting URL by "doi:" but I like to keep my Markdown as clearly readable as possible and does not markup inside latex. I might add a Pandoc filter for this - but I would rather understand the problem of this end if possible.
Thank you!
... One of hyperlinks is a specific address of DOI: doi:10.2307 / 488160.
This address SHOULD you present is only the persistent identifier. To make a connection, precede the string with the http://dx.doi.org/ url so that your example is http://dx.doi.org/10.2307/488160
Basically, the url is a program of resolution. By including a DOI link, there is no need for the Manager/addon Firefox DOI. You can have the text that is displayed differs from the URL. In other words, the manuscript shows doi:10.2307/488160 but the underlying url link is http://dx.doi.org/10.2307/488160
You can see the particular style guide that you must follow to display format specifications. For example, see details for APA style.

I have Windows Vista... For a while, whenever I got a new version of Firefox I tried to upgrade Adobe Flash and in any case it crashed so I stopped to do so. I asked this question to you more than once before and rec have never a response. Saved Flash 10.3, have reinstalled, which left and I go kind of happily on my way. Unfortunately, as you know that there are some videos, I can't access with 10.3. So, that being said... Will be the latest version of Adobe Flash work with the latest version of Firefox?
Wow, I can't believe that you have saved this old version of Flash for so long. If Flash player is crushed you probably had to disable hardware acceleration for Flash Player. Try turning off hardware acceleration.
- Go to the Adobe Flash Player help page.
- Right-click on the Flash Player logo on this page.
- Click settings on the shortcut menu. The Adobe Flash Player settings screen opens.
- Click the icon in the lower left of the Adobe Flash Player settings window to open the display panel.
- Remove the enable hardware accelerationcheck box.
- Click close to close the Adobe Flash Player settings window.
- Restart Firefox.
This Flash Player help - display settings page contains more information about the Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you are interested.
With regard to the latest version, Yes. The latest version of Flash works fine on the latest version of Firefox (29.0.1)
