Latitude D410 (Win 7), WLAN 1350 Code 10

As a result of this post, I bought a Dell Wireless 1350 WLAN mini-PCI card and installed this morning.

I followed the instructions of Philip to download the driver from Microsoft in the catalogue, but after the installation, I get an error Code 10 (this device cannot start).

Then I tried the driver Dell here (for XP), but now I get an error Code 35 (your computer's system firmware does not enough information to properly configure and use this device. To use this device, contact the manufacturer to obtain a firmware or an update of the BIOS of your computer). The BIOS is updated.

  • Latitude D410 (Win 7), cannot activate wireless

I'm helping a friend whose brother-in-law bought him this laptop refurbished with Windows 7 installed by the supplier of refurbishment (they provide a disc and a license).

In the BIOS, wireless is enabled, but Fn - F2 does not activate the wireless (witness stays off). There is no wireless network card or any unknown device in Device Manager. I tried to turn off the wireless in the BIOS and then restore it.

To my knowledge, the device supports the Realtek RTL8191SE Wlan card.
You should be able to download the right driver from this page:

  • Switch WLAN with Code

    Hi Dell Experts,

a simple question I'm looking for some time for a good answer:

Switching WLAN switch with FN + F2 (Dell Vostro 3550) is one thing to do it manually.

Is there a way to do this with the code? For example, VB.Net, PowerShell, c#,...?

A definitive answer, I would be very grateful!

    Hello

one question: which driver you tried to install? Intel or the Atheros driver. I mean, if you have an atheros card and that you have installed a driver package intel then it s possible that it won´t install.

Please, try the other available driver and then come back and give a short answer about this.

    Hello

    1. you use backup windows or any other third-party backup program?

    2. are you perform the backup of files or perform the system image backup?

I suggest you do that there is enough free space on the hard disk and then perform the back upward, try the steps below and check if that helps

    Method 1:

Try to put the computer in a clean boot state, and check if the problem occurs or not.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Method 2: I suggest you temporarily disable the Antivirus\Firewall and then try to backup.

Note: Please make sure that you activate the software of Antivirus\Firewall after the test to keep your computer protected.

Method 3: Check the disk to external hard drive.

  • I don't know where to look or how install\download an audio driver for my dell latitude d410

I managed to delete my laptop sound driver! This is not the first time that this happens, but I don't know how to fix it! I was going thru deletion of files, I thought I is no longer necessary, and I have uninstalled or deleted audio driver who had worked up until I was eating with her...

All you need to do is go to this page:

    http://support.Dell.com/

Click on the button 'Start Here' far left "Support for private users." Keep drilling down until find you it.

Here's my concern, however. "Go to" and delete files from the way you have (without realizing what you do counts) can lead to instability. You may have done more damage than you think.

    Here's my advice:

1 backup all your data if you have not yet done. I recommend backing up data to an external hard drive.

    2. perform the Windows XP system restore:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/306084

Who will probably return all your system files to their correct location without having to go hunting for replacement drivers, etc..

If you need advice, let us know. There are some security programs that interfere with the restoration of the system, for example. In addition, if you want to know how to safely remove debris, we can help you with that, too.
