Latitude D531 monitor Audio input problem

Just need help on audio problems...

I have a Dell Latitude D531 and that my job requires me to hear audio from the microphone so I followed the instructions that spoke on the FAQ. I am currently running Windows XP and using a Sigmatel STAC 92xxHD Audio Chip. I tried to change settings in the registry as indicated by replacing the binary codes of the registry "EnableInputMonitor" and "EnableIntSpkMute" by "01" and "00" respectively.

I restarted my computer and when I went to properties, it does not show the "Monitor input" option under "show the following volume controls". Can someone tell me if this is due to the fact that the laptop uses an AMD prcoessor processor or what I have wrong? It would be great if I can get the entries of people who suffer from this as well as the experts who were able to play with it. Appreciate the help.

    Hello

Have you checked the Realtek HD Audio Manager in the control panel?
    To do this.

On the right, you will find the analog ports, internal speakers and mic and digital.

Unfortunately, I m not a Qosmio G40 owner but I have a Satellite phone with Realtek audio chip and in my case the audio HD Manager provides some settings that can be changed.

Must check and play with it.

    Hello

It is very interesting how Toshiba cares about the problems of their users.
I think this is the last time I bought some stuff from them.
Maybe I'll go back to DELL. They care more.
My post will be probably deleted now...

  • 550-215na Pavilion: no sound from the rear audio input jack

    Hello

I recently bought a new PC and I immediately ran into an audio problem that I can't understand. I get no sound at all from the rear audio input jack. I'm getting sound before making, and the plug rear mic works. When I plug something into the rear socket, a message appears grateful that there is something. When I checked the sound settings while it is plugged into the rear outlet, the equalizer is moving, which indicates that he gets his. But nothing comes out when I plug headphones or speakers in. I can exclude a fault with the speakers and the headphones, because they work very well to come forward. All the drivers are up to date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there @PrimoFigs,

I hope you find your experience of positive Support Forum! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you get no sound from your speakers when connected to the rear audio ports. I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

Have you tried to connect another device to this port, whether it of a different set of speakers or earphones, headphones just to test if one of them works?

What it is connected to the front port at the same time? If so, then disconnect this device and try again the rear port and let me know if there is a change.

Also try this: desktop HP-no sound on speakers (Windows 8).

Please let me know if any of the work of tip for you suggestions and if we don't solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • Sony XBR-55X850D audio sync problem with Xbox One S

Recently bought a new Sony X850D 55 '' TV, it's my 3rd Sony TV the past 10 years, and the first I had a problem with.

I use the TV mostly for games on my Xbox One S, but have found that there is some dramatic audio synchronization problems. The sound coming out behind what is displayed on the screen (IE. Close door, sound audible is later). Xbox is connected to the TV via HDMI to input 1. I also have a bar of his (CT380) connected via HDMI output HDMI-4 ARC.

I tried with and without the Soundbar without result. 3 different cords HDMI do nothing. Using my old Xbox One compared to the new One S has no difference. Question was not present on my old Sony TV. Tried with ClearAudio on and out, no change. I can't find all the parameters of sound synchronization in both of the TV, bar, or Xbox.

    Running Version 5.1.1

    Thank you

    Jerome,

I could solve my problem using HDMI from the Xbox to the sound bar HDMI then another sound to the TV bar.

    Thanks for the good help!

    Hello!

I just wanted to share a few experiences. When I shot down my system to Windows XP edition family of pre-installed Vista (Satellite A100) I went to the support section of the official site of Toshiba and downloaded all available for my laptop to XP. And everything has been working fine until now. Oh, I think this chipset driver I got from the Intel site.

Maybe try to re - install some components like chipset driver (as the audio is embedded)?

    Good luck!

    Heey everybody,

I have a problem. I want to read two different signals at the same time of 2 different cards. 1 sound card internal of my computer laptop and 1 usb sound card.

So I used the VI of its acquisition.

Reading the two signals at the same time is not a problem until I took more than about 30 seconds measurement time for. He gets a buffer overrun.

So I tried to do the following:

I did this with 1 signal first and it worked perfectly, every second he has updated.

But when I added the second signal he wanted only to read the first second of the first signal and then it got stuck, and I had to stop closing software. And then the killing labview with the windows taskmanagement thingey.

Someone has an idea what is the problem?

    Greetings,

    Jory

OK, never mind, I have solved. I made the largest buffers (audio input configure block) and now it works like a charm

  • Challenges of the audio input jack (seems not work)

    Hello

    I use an HP Envy 15-j030eb, running Windows 8.1 x 64.

Recently, I need to use my laptop audio input jack to connect my speakers, but I don't get all the sounds. I tried to connect two different types of headphones, with no audio to come through. I don't remember really when I finally used, but I'm sure it worked at some point.

Otherwise it is inserted into the Jack, I get his normal good through the internal speakers, connect a TV via HDMI also works very well.

I tried most of the solutions I could find online (definition of default playback device, change the bass and treble levels, do a hard reset, reinstall the drivers...), but nothing helped. Start Notepad from a live USB Ubuntu USB also translates the same behavior; play music while my works of great internal speakers connection helmet muffles all. This leads me to believe that it is not a Windows/driver issue, but a bios/firmware/hardware one.

Run HP (from usb boot) and the test of speaker adio also doesn't send audio signal to my helmet and gives a failure code: gll3kv-6nm782-mfgjxg-20ek03. I could not decypher this identifier.

Any suggestions on how to proceed and get my audio jack working again please?

    Kind regards

    Hi @klmdb

Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I saw your post about the problems with your audio jack. I looked in that identification code of the failure that you have posted and there is an audio hardware failure which could be a couple of different things, but from what you describe, it's the audio jack that has failed.  The audio jack is not a replaceable part, you will need to seek to replace the motherboard or card mother.

  • Audio input Inspiron 15 3000 can not detect the headset

Audio input Inspiron 15 3000 can not detect the headset, but audio dell can detect something trendy. However, the playback sound device cannot detect any helmet. Now I only get gurgling in the helmet. How to solve this problem?

Hello. To test the headphone switch the native Windows audio driver Realtek audio driver.

    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the box of Windows search).
    2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
    8. click on "next".
    9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
[To return to the Realtek driver, do it again but reverse the names in steps 1-6.]

If it is still bubbling even with the native driver, test by using other headphones. If still no luck then probably hardware failure. Contact technical support for warranty repair.

If it works fine with the native driver, then the Realtek driver is buggy. Try a different version of the driver. If you need help with this answer comes back with the full model name (something like "Inspiron 11 3147", etc.) and which operating system there.

  • The audio jack problem

What headphones do you recommend for Inspition 15 3000 series PC laptop? I have big problem with Plantronics with unfortunatelly and USB connector (it was excellent for many laptops up to now) the same with Logitech. I found very uncomfortable to use a connecton for microphone and headphones.

Inspition 15 3000 Series notebook PC

Inspiron 15 3000 series may refer to the model Inspiron 15 3542. If your model is the 3542, it has an audio jack headphone single (combo) that accepts a type of smart phone to the headset. The type has a unique segmented 4 taken (TAKEN) that combines the two headphone and headset plugs into a single outlet.

Your laptop also ordinary (without microphone) helmet allows a standard taken 3 segmented (TRS).

Do not take offense, but I can't understand what you're asking. You have a Plantronics usb headset that plugs into a port usb, but makes you uncomfortable with the only one taken audio input of your laptop? Perhaps you could phrase that in a different way.

  • Smartphones connect blackBerry storm to car Audio input jack

My (new) Volvo has an audio input jack, I connected my storm with a standard stereo cable.  I played several songs on my way into work.  At noon, I plugged the storm back to find the storm no longer plays on the audio jack.  It's like the storm audio Jack does not recongize the connection, the songs through the speakers of the storm.  I ran a few tests.  The stereo headset supplied with Storm still works.  The cable and the plug of the car still work with other MP3 device.

Why all of a sudden it does not?

Does anyone else have this problem?

And, Yes, I jumped the battery and restarted.

Another point to add to my list, this phone is driving me crazy!

    It was my cable!

Even if the cable has worked in another device, there be a small difference between the work cable and the non-working.

How to remove this thread or mark the thread solved?
