Latitude E6430 - Dell control | Power Manager installs in Win7Pr6 arch - 25025 err

Hello

I recently bought a Dell Latiture E6430 refurbiished, who came with win7 pro x 64. As I don't have full trust in the seller, I decided to reinstall the OS from Dell (win7 pro x 64-glb Polish) DVD. Of course the drivers detected for my tag are installed (and updated by "Dell Control |") Updated".

However, with reinstall it I lost the ability to control the way in which the battery is maintained. If I understand correctly, this must be obtained by "Dell Control | "Power Manager". Before you reinstall, it worked. But this app is not detected for my service tag. I tried to install different versions that were available for this model, including the recent

System - Utilities_Application_3N7TV_WN32_2.1.0_A00. EXE

System - Utilities_Application_0X5N4_WN32_2.1.1.EXE

(w32, but both are theoretically "32-bit executables for 64-bit architecture")

They only moved it back 25025 (unsupported system) error. Any ideas how to approach this problem?

I suspect that this isn't a hardware problem, as the management of the battery worked before system reinstall.

Jesse, thank you very much.

I followed good order during my first attempt, with a significant exception - I don't have dotnet4/4.5/4.62 installed. Otherwise, the installation failed for ' Dell order | Be able to manage"and of"Dell Feature Enhancement Pack"(I have not installed one on the other, I know that they compete. I tried the latter as the first failure in the manner described - error 25025).

I drove back to the installation of the provider (backup turned to be useful) just to find out that I have a laptop with DFEP installed, and it is this package that provided control over battery scenarios.

So with the new installation, I've got dotnet installed, after ' DC | PM"always failed with the error 25025, but installed DFEP ok by" DC | Updated".

It is now resolved :-)

TLDR: to get a control over battery scenarios, first install the bios update + chipset + network drivers, and updates of windows including dotnet 4 + 4.5 + updates, then "Dell order | Updated"+ updates detected driver, then in ' DC | Updated"display all updates and install"Dell Feature Enhancement Pack Application".

  • Windows 8.1 Latitude E6430 wireless issues

After a recent clean install of Windows 8.1 on my E6430 Latitude, I can access is no longer my work wireless network uses 802.1 x and Cisco wireless controllers.

It's using the RTM of Windows 8.1 version. Windows 8 and 8.1 client preview worked without any problems.

Windows has installed the Broadcom 802.11n network adapter during installation. When this does not work, I updated the driver using the Dell support site and installed the drivers from Dell Wireless 1504 802.11b/g/n (2,4 GHz).

The two drivers lead the same: I am connected with limited connectivity and usually a self assigned IP address.

The wireless works fine on home networks using WPA2.

Any ideas or suggestions for troubleshooting?

I had the same problem with my Dell Latitude E6430.  I have tried everything what I found online with no luck.  I even applied all system updates Dell pulled out this week (more as of 10/17/2013).  Nothing has worked.  I found this today and it solved my problem (from http://blogs.technet.com/b/dennis_schnell/archive/2013/08/31/windows-8-1-wifi-showing-quot-limitied-quot-or-quot-no-internet-access-quot.aspx):

Hi guys, I tried all the methods above, but none of them worked for me. However, I found something that worked, which is to restore your network card driver to a previous version instead of the one installed by windows 8.1.

You can do this by accessing the device, right click on your network adapter Manager, click on update driver, then ' Browse my computer for driver software, and then "Let me pick from a list of... ", uncheck"Show compatible hardware"and finally select the older version of the current driver (if you don't know that, just use trial and error).

Hope this helps others who have this problem. See you soon.

The specific driver that worked for my Dell Latitude E6430 was the Broadcom 802.11n 5.100.245.200 (as dated 14/03/2012).

  • Latitude E6430 - failure after update of 5200 M Intel HD 4000 NVS and nVidida drivers

At work, I have a laptop Latitude E6430 with Win7 Pro 64 bit. I lived a few problems when you try to connect the PC to a TV via HDMI. So I tried to update the video drivers from the Dell website. If I remember correctly, I first installed the Intel HD 4000 driver, but I chose the 32-bit driver mistakenly. A pop up during installation process said that the pilot was incorrect, and I found the good 64 bit - driver and installed it. Then I installed the driver of 5200 M 64 bit NVS.

The PC was working fine after the reboot. But the next time I start the PC, I got a blue screen and was forced to do a windows system restore. I tried to reinstall the drivers, but the result was the same when the PC restarted. After several restorations system I got to a point where no where left in the Device Manager, only the generic Windows VGA driver Intel or nVidia-drivers. If I try to install the Intel driver that he told me that the system violates the basic requirements to install, the alias does not appear to be the graphics card. If I try the nVidia installation driver goes OK, but Windows hangs after reboot.

The it Department now did a new install of Win7 (but not yet installed all Dell drivers in the order listed). They tried installing the Intel driver but got the same pop up like me. They say they have managed to install the driver of nVidida without problem (at least for the next reboot...).

What is the problem and what is the solution?

    Hello

You ask to go to the BIOS (F2 on startup) screen, move to the video tab, select Optimus and check the option enable the optimus. This should help. You can also view the photo for more information below:

  • G550 power management driver

    Hello

Somewhere in my travels I have uninstalled the Lenovo power management driver, preferring to rely on the installation of clean energy from Win7. But now I think that I need this driver in order to activate Bluetooth. A research on the Lenovo site grew up anything for the G550.

I have the original adapter broadcom 802.11 wireless, and I put his advanced properties, the bluetooth collaboration, to activate. But there is no Bluetooth item in Control Panel, and Fn + F5 does nothing. I downloaded and tried utility of Broadcom Bluetooth discovery, nothing helps. Lenovo ReadyComm said that no BT software is available.

So maybe the key is to install the Lenovo power management driver. Anyone know where I can get it?

  • Power Manager profiles 1.52 error (add)

    Hello

about a week I have been faced with a problem with the Power Manager (after that I tried the last updated - wait until May)

I can't add or set any profile.

I found a few solutions here: http://chris.brandlehner.at/Brandlehner/cab_blog.nsf/d6plinks/CBRR-6YWBNV but it has not worked for me.

    1. Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\PowerCfg\PowerPolicies] and delete all dublicated policies. Leaving you with few windows standart policies and few policies created by the Power Manager. Numbers should start from 0.

I deleted all of the strategies

    2. Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Controls Folder\PowerCfg\PowerPolicies] and do the same thing there.

Here too and then I killed "rundll32.exe" process, then I ran Power Manager-> it adds default profiles to the registry.

    I renamed (0, 1, 2, 3...)

    2. Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Controls Folder\PowerCfg] and set LastID key to the number of the last policy.

    I put the lastID

    But it still doesn't work.

After reboot, I have many other profiles (mostly "empty" or duplicated) in the registry.

I tried to downgrade Power Manager too, but it didn't work.

Maybe there is a problem because I deleted the strategies default system can too, so someone sent me its exported registry keys in:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Controls Folder\PowerCfg

    and

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\PowerCfg\PowerPolicies

    Thank you very much.

I hope that Lenovo will soon release some fix.

Moderator Note: version number added to the line object for clarity.

    Hello
    Thanks for the reply.
ThinkPad T61, MS Windows XP Pro, Power manager version 1.52

But I have already found a solution.
I deleted all the registry values of:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Controls Folder\PowerCfg

    and

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\PowerCfg\PowerPolicies

then I restored the default registry keys in these places. I'm bringing work of the WinXP installation from one of my friends.

I guess it can be restored registry of image (VmWare etc.) Virtual PC too.

Maybe the registry is confused upward
Try to clean and repair the registry using CCleaner. It the free tool.

Firstly uninstall the energy saver, then clean the registry.
Download page of the European driver Toshiba Portege A100 Win XP tools and drivers.
