Latitude e6510 Windows 8 driver update to QuickTime?

I would like to know if we would have drivers upgrade to Windows 8 because it was such a model?

natakuc4 - thank you very much for the information.  That is why we no longer considering Dell as a source for our future systems.  The e6510 is still under the warranty to original dell but Dell won't even support the newer operating system with the drivers.

Bye, bye Dell

I hope that you are successful on an unofficial version for those who want to upgrade to Windows 8 - thank you

  • 15 Pavilion: Pavilion Windows 10 Driver Update quick access keys

    Hi people!

The "SHORTCUT KEY" that towers power button has a small RED led installed which is supposed to light up when you press on to show that the speakers are turned off, however after an update of the Lord knows what, like Microsoft to preserve 'secret' is now to win 10 updates and get it if you want it or not, the RED Led has stopped working which I hope is a software problem that can be solved by installing the latest version of the driver HOT KEYS so...

Using the "HP Support System" the "Robot" told me to go on the Support Page, get my model of laptop recognized then choose updated driver and select "HOT KEYS", except when you get to the drivers there is nothing that looks remotely "HOT KEYS DRIVER" in the list of all driver updates.

Does anyone know where this "object", or what I should expect for HP Support human out of bed on Monday morning and answer the question?

I hope the people of HP who put the "How To" pages would check them until they commit to their Web pages!

    Thank you

    Hi again,

After completing the steps gave you me and the Chipset driver and then, installation by running the installation Realtek in Administrator Mode. For some reason, I found myself with a Microsoft HD Audio Driver installed, which do not operate the RED Led!

Then back through everything in your instructions for the second time, but the Chipset driver is back with an intallation error, so I just ran the Realtek sp73189.exe.

For some reason that gave me a message telling me when I had done was no installed Audio driver!

I then ran it again and after re-boot Led RED rest would not work, so I went into Device Manager and see "Update Drivers" offered that I stressed the Realtek HD Audio, and I was rather surprised to see that there is an update as of 26/01/2016 6.0.1.7730 driver Version.

It was automatically installed and left for a few minutes, then low and here are the RED Led which is now "glowing" Fortunately started working again.

Know not why the first two 'impossible' attempts or if the Realtek sp73189.exe had been replaced by yet another update, but at least now everything is going well until Microsoft eventually make another 'Dump for update' secret and screw something else!

  • Install Windows 8.1 64 bit on Latitude E6510

    Hello forum,.

I failed repeatedly to install Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit on my Latitude E6510 (from July 2010). Windows 7 Pro 32 bit was preinstalled, when I bought the laptop. As I've recently updated the 3 to 8 GB RAM, I would use a 64 bit system now.

I tried to boot from the installation DVD and windows flag is displayed. After a few seconds, a message on blue background: ": (your PC) has encountered a problem." We collect certain information and then we will restart it for you. "It's the message, as FAS as I can remember. It appears only for a second, and then the computer restarts automatically. I have no chance to enter an installation menu.

I tried an update of the A03 BIOS to the latest version A16 without success. Boot mode is set to legacy at the present time, I also tried UEFI temporarily, without change...

    Any help would be appreciated.

I finally solved this problem by replacing my new 8 GB of RAM with 3 GB old RAM modules that were previously installed when I bought the laptop. Subsequently, Windows 8.1 boots without fault of the DVD.

I really don't know how these two things can be combined between them, but maybe this message can be useful, if someone has the same problem in the future.

  • Windows Update includes the Toshiba driver updates?

    Hello

Windows Update includes the Toshiba driver updates?

And if yes, do you know what drivers are included in Windows Update and that would be excluded?

    Thank you...

    Hello

Microsoft and Toshiba updates are two different things.
Toshiba drivers are offered by Toshiba, and these drivers are tested by Toshiba. Toshiba has developed a small tool called TEMPRO. This tool runs in the background and look for information on available updates.
All updates of drivers, tools and utilities does not update automatically. It can be done by the owner of the laptop. TEMPRO just pick up info on the net and to inform the owner of the laptop.

Microsoft updates are probably known to you. These updates are Microsoft and Toshiba has no influence on this.
When you check the list of available updates may have included updates to the WLAN/LAN card, driver of the touchpad and device ACPI Toshiba x 64. This is defined as optional updates and cannot be updated.

To be honest you should not update at all. For hardware use drivers provided by Toshiba only.

  • Windows Update wants to make a driver update for my wireless 1505 dell minimap

I have a dell inspiron 1720 with a dell 1505 wireless Mini PCI card.
I've used rc1 Win7 32bits almost since release and had the same problem but blamed the rc1 status.

I recently installed win7 ult 64 bit and the initial drivers automatically install for this card (version 4.176.75.21) released on 10/01/2008 work very well and I can connect to my router N to 270 MB/s.

However, Windows Update wants to update the drivers of 5.30.21.0
on this operation, it limits the connection to 54 Mbps

After speaking with the support of dells, they claim that the 5.30.21.0 drivers are not intended for the mini-map 1505

restore drivers allows me to connect again to 270 MB/s

I'm pretty happy with it except for 2 things.

    1. I fear that other people with the same card be the victim of a bad update from microsoft.

2 and my main concern is that I had a very hard to solve the problem with the 4.176.75.21 drivers when using the win7 RC 1.  My computer when making fashion 'sleep' declares that he is not stopped correctly and he was attributed to incorrect wifi drivers.

It is extremely difficult to solve because it is not all the time.

I'm just the eccentric? I have hard to find someone else with the same question. but that could come from several different reasons.

    any help would be appreciated.

Live and learn. Experienced users only get updated driver required/need to download pages for the device manufacturer or the computer, never update Windows.

To avoid the download and/or installation of driver updates, you need to configure automatic updates to the updates but let me choose whether to download and install them . If & when there is an update, you don't want to download/install, disable the update then "hide".

    Hello

The problem with the automatic driver update utilities is they will fail all ultimately and

sometimes with spectacular results (bad). So I recommend only utilities that help
determine what drivers are loaded and help find sites of the manufacturer of the device
    where they are.

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

DriverView execution - Set VIEW of Microsoft drivers hide - update those without drain in their
    names.

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.

    I hope this helps.

  • Windows 8.1 update 1 will not optimize the C drive

Omni 27-1210xt CTO all-in-one running Windows 8.1 update 1.  Built-in Windows defragmentation is set to optimize all readers on an automatic calendar and all drives are recognized and controlled in defragmentation Scheduler.  When optimization is executed, all drives are defragmented except for the "C" drive - it is simply ignored - and I have manually optimize the drive 'C '.

I also have a HP lappy, 15-d030nr, also running Windows 8.1 update 1 and it has the same problem - defrag ignores the 'C' drive, but will optimize all readers.

I tried a few third-party defrag programs and they will be defragmenting drive 'C '.  However, these programs don't recognize not all readers.

I'm puzzled.  There is no error in the case where the spectator and CHKDSK comes up clean.  Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hello

You can read this threadMS.  There are a few possibilities and work around the issue.

I wouldn't get too worried, because the size of cache built into recent drives somewhat mitigates most performance problems.

    Hi Barbara,

Thanks for posting your query to the Microsoft Community.

It is good to do the research on things that you are not sure of and I appreciate that you posted this on our forum.

For me to better understand the issue and to find the cause of the problem, please answer money questions:

    1. What is brand and model computer?
    2. When did you get this pop-up message?
    3. You did any changes made to your computer , after which the pop-up appeared?
    4. What is the accurate and complete message which is to appear?

To update the drivers, the simplest method is to install through windows updates.

Check the updates of Windows for the latest driver updates.

Check Windows updates if driver updates are available. If so, the same install and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows key + W on the keyboard.
    • Type the updates in the search bar and click the Windows Update icon from the result of the search.
    • In the Windows Update window, click on the link: check the updates from the left side of the window to receive a new list of updates.

If updates are available, install all updates listed there. Make sure that you install all updates including the optional updates.
