  • MacBook Pro (Yosemite 10.10.5) suddenly very slow, Help!

Hi all, I have recently been faced with a problem hindering my Macbook Pro 13-inch mid-2012. I was using my computer - as I do regularly - watch videos, listen to music, play video games, etc. (the usual activities of the summer), and my computer seems slow down suddenly. The videos are now restless and I have to wait an excruciatingly long time to load. He is fighting same - showing the Rainbow ball of death - when I open a new finder window or a tab on Google. Start the system also takes at least twice as long as he had done before. So I went looking for a solution to the problem. I updated my computer to Yosemite 10.10.5, as I had not updated for a while, erased some decent space on the permissions of my 500 GB HDD (105 GB free space), checked and readers on the disk utility and tested my material on Apple Hardware Test. Nothing I've done seems to fix or help the problem. I got this computer from early 2013 and have had a few problems with the computer, but nothing I couldn't fix easily, so when I couldn't find the solution to my problem with hours of violin, I thought that I would like to ask the community. Is it typical, is there a known solution? If this is not the case, what can help? Let me know if you need additional information about almost anything. Thank you!

  • HP Laserjet 3050 will not install on MacBook Pro Yosemite

Cannot install the printer. Get the following error message:

Cannot find the appropriate software after software update running. But the software appears in my updates?

    Thanks for your comments.

    Hello

In the Apple menu click on App Store, and select software update.

Click on the main menu of the Bank and then reload the page and install any update HP or Apple listed.

Once you have finished, try to add the printer in Printers & Scanners again, then follow the update of the software once more to make sure that the latest drivers have been installed.

Please check if this can work, if the same continues to try to install the drivers manually from the following link:

    http://support.Apple.com/kb/dl907

Once you are done try once more adding the breeders & Scanners printer and check for the difference.

Please let me know the results.

    FestivalMag

Initially, the password to keychain and your password are identical.

If you change the password for the connection in an unusual way, it is possible that the Keychain password is not being updated at the same time. Your stored passwords are encrypted and are kept under the old password. You can update the password in the keychain if you know old and new passwords. Otherwise the content of the old keychain died for you (and everyone stays that way).

  • Can I have both Yosemite and El Capitan, installed on separate partitions on my Macbook Pro?

I want to upgrade my Macbook Pro (Intel Core i7 2.8 GHz, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3) to El Capitan. However, I have an important piece of the software - Avid Pro Tools HD 11 - which runs on Yosemite, but not on El Capitan. Can I create two partitions, each containing one of these two operating systems and then choose to start the partition of Yosemite, when I need to use Pro Tools? If so, how should I do this? Is there a support article, I can read to help me? Can you Yosemite partition contain only the BONES of Yosemite, and the rest are on the other partition? Thank you.

Yes, you can run them both. I guess the process is similar to this:

    http://osxdaily.com/2011/03/12/how-to-install-dual-boot-Mac-OS-x-10-7-Lion-and-1 0-6-snow-leopard.

Having two OSs on separate partitions is like owning two computers, they are completely separate. You want to see in the two places will have to literally be in two places. Copy the files from one OS to another will be facilitated by a USB stick as if it were two separate machines, for example.

  • How to install Yosemite or Mavericks on Macbook Pro 2.2

Help! My friend gifted me an iBook and I can download it on iTunes, but I can not read it there. Yikes! I need to update my OS X somehow.

I have a Macbook Pro - 2: 2 apparently is a model of "end of 2006". It has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 2 GB of memory. He is currently running 10.6.8 but I need to upgrade to a system that can read iBooks.

When I read the requirements of the formal system of El Capitan, he seems to satisfy them, but when I try to upgrade via the App Store of Macintosh, downright tells me that this computer can not run El Capitan. I think that iBooks became beginning of functionality with the Mavericks. Then...

Is it possible for me to move on Mavericks or Yosemite on this machine? I searched for them on the App Store, and nothing comes up. I guess it has a download page for the old system somewhere on apple.com, but dammmmed if I can find it. A pointer to such a page would be wonderful. If you can assure me that this will result in being able to read my gifted iBook, it would be even better. Thank you!

    No, it isn't.

  • HP 4645: No color printing on MacBook Pro with Yosemite 10.10.5

My HP 4645 does not print the colors of my computer, even if the test page prints color.  I have a MacBook pro w/Yosemite 10.10.5

I went on the link of beta and did not find anything specific to my problem.

    Help, please!

Welcome to the HP Forums @JWays! I'd love to help you print in color from your Mac. I understand that you are able to print in color test pages but when printing from the computer your impressions with no color. Did you install the full feature software and driver, or you use the Apple software update? Also, you use the AirPrint driver, or the driver HP.

Please follow the instructions below to check which driver you are using and change:

    1. Click on the Apple and then click on System Preferences.
    2. In the hardware section, click on Printers and Fax/Scan. The Print & Fax/Scan dialog box opens.
    3. Click on your printer if it is selected and find beside 'type' to see which driver is used.
    4. If you see AirPrint, remove the printer, then click on the small symbol to add the printer back again.
    5. Choose your printer and click on the drop down next to the 'use '. You will see the option to choose your printer in this "use" drop down. The image below is a screenshot of an Officejet printer, but help to display my description.

If you see the HP printer that is already in use and not AirPrint, deleting the printer and add it again using the AirPrint driver. This will help isolate the driver as the first cause one way or other part.

If this resolves the issue, please click Accept as Solution below; If not, let me know and I will do everything I can to help.

  • I have a Macbook Pro, with Yosemite.  I want to buy desktop software but so many bad reviews online.  Should I buy 2011 version instead?

I have a Macbook Pro 2014 and I use OS 10.10.5 (Yosemite).  I have an older version of Office (2008) and you want to upgrade.  But I saw a lot of bad reviews of the version of 2016.  Should I buy the 2011 version or the version of 2016?  I mainly use Word and Excel sometimes.

Initially, there are problems with Office for Mac 2016 and El Capitan, but those who seem to be resolved.

I myself would get 2016 later if I wanted an Office for Mac.
