Layers in elements 7?

Hello! Are there layers in first Elements 7 (like for example Photoshop)? While I have the ability to UN-click on an effect at a later date. Kind regards.

Yes, you can remove these effects as I explained in my post above (perhaps not as clear). You open the properties of the clip (above) and select the effect in the list by clicking on it. Then right-click and select delete the missing aura effect.

    I took 5 photographs using the techniques of luminous paint recently proposed in DPS Light Painting tutorial.  However, using 8 items, I can't combine them into layers.  I can get them in elements, save them and open them in layers of elements section.  However, I do not know where to go to from there.  Any help out there?

    The empty file will be your canvas. It is important that its dimensions and the resolution is the same as that of the images. They should all be the same, because, no doubt, you have taken with the same camera. You will have 6 layers: background, layers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

    My photoshop stops after a few minutes of work.  My layers are not visible on the Panel.  There should be at least 11 layers for this card in image.

    Step 1. Hold the Alt, Ctrl + Shift keys when you click the icon to open

  • Layers in elements

    I use lightroom to do most of my editing and then pass it to the elements for finishing.  I am able to use levels and curves but not add a layer.  Add a layer option is not available. If I bring the files to the hard disk instead of the passage of Lightroom, is everything OK?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you

    To use layers, you select 8-bit image (not 16-bit).

    Try to select Edit a copy with Lightroom - TIFF (8 bit depth rate) settings or choose PSD.

  • Simplification of the layers in Elements 8?

    When I create a shape (rectangle or elliptical) in a new layer, I just can't simplify it.  There is no "Simplify" button in the options bar, and if I drop down the menu layers Layer selection simplify is grayed out and not available.  Any advice out there?

    You don't have this button at all when you use the shape tools? Something is very, very wrong.

  • Overview of the Illustrator files display hidden layers (Mac)

    This is more of a problem, a doubt. Well, I was working on an illustration, just try things here and there, and I have so many different layers of elements, some of them I want to see the and some of them not (I don't want to remove them, cause, they can be useful later). At some point, I realized that when I saved the file and went to see the (SPACEBAR) Preview in his file, the image had hidden and shown items.

    So here's my question: is this normal? is there a way to show the preview with only the elements listed? Of course, when I export the .png file, for example, I get the image should I get (without the hidden stuff).

    I don't know why, but I have a solution: in your "layers" window, do not use the black eyes in the front of your layers to hide! Open each layer you want to hide (using the grey triangle) and hide the objects inside the layer. Then save: and you will see that the preview will be the right one...

  • How to resolve a conflict of orders/grouping?

    CS4 on Mac. I have a few items I'd like to consolidate, but doing so causes me problems regarding the layout of objects. Is there any way I can, without using layers, 'group' elements for a single purpose (i.e. the application new color fills) but still no need to have them all before or back all?

    Group always will reorganize them.

    You can make a selection and then save the selection.

    If all you want to do is Recolor specific colors, take a look at global color chart or use the function "Recolor art.

    To be honest, it is going to be very involved to reproduce the steps in the video link you provided with photoshop elements, since it's for photoshop and especially the parameters given in this video as styles of layer > blending options

    and groups of layers, photoshop elements have access to these features easily.

    You can try this way rather make an Anaglyph 3D in photoshop elements.

  • After using the GPU effects

    Szalam, if possible, I'd like some information in what concerns this topic because I'm having a moment a little hard to get my head around how After Effects uses the GPU in some situations.

    For example, I have a comp UltraHD quite complex with a group of layers 3D element. Because we work closely with the 3D with element layers, we have the rendering engine in After Effects "3D Classic" on. Because I'm using a GPU K4200, I'll just follow the advice of Adobe and use the CPU for any trace of the rays since the K4200 is "unsupported".

    So now that I'm assuming that After Effects will do all THE processing of treatment on the CPU - with the exception of the work of 3-d element, which will be done only on the GPU, correct? Then now, I guess as long as I "simultaneous rendering of several images multiprocessing" something sensible (i.e. leaving 1/4 or preferably more like 1/3 of the available RAM to non - After Effects-related work and not hungry processors), then After Effects will try to max-out the processors as much as possible for everything except the item in 3D work (which will be hopefully out the GPU max). Is this correct?

    Is it interesting to use in load/no tested (for example the K4200) GPU to accelerate the raytraced render engine in this scenario (i.e. 3D only in the model elements are 3D, element, cameras and lights 3D layers), or is it better to leave it on the CPU and leave the single GPU for 3D element?

    Right. Your scene does not all the layers using the ray traced in her rendering engine at all, so leave it on Classic 3d is the best choice. The new version of the item has "drawn with RADIUS' shadows and whatnot, but which is unrelated to converter traced to obsolete radius of EI. EI raytraced render engine is essentially an effect pressing the Optix of NVIDIA GPU library. It was just to add depth to layers. People are often confused and think that turning traced to the rendered RADIUS on would hire the GPU to make this, but the only thing he never accelerated has been traced to the RADIUS effect (which has very few people have already used).

    Pretty much, Yes. There are other potential bottlenecks (if you use images out of an external device with a slow connection, for example), but it's like basic things will be.

    Your scene, as you describe it, does not use the ray-traced rendering engine at all. The ray-traced rendering engine is just a way to add depth and dimension to natively layers in AE. Given that you do not use this feature, by turning your comp to use the rendering engine raytraced won't help what whatsoever and, instead, plu cause lead the times.

    But you can feel free to test yourself. Try a rendering with the standard rendering engine and with the renderer raytraced lit. See if you can see differences.

  • Layer Palette list jumping around on DSP with multiple work plans

    Just upgraded to Photoshop CC2015, and I'm doing a work of mobile design - work plans are perfect for this kind of work, so I decided to take advantage of the new functionality of the artboard. Now, a lot of actions that update of content in the palette layers (duplicate elements, for example), force the selected item to be concentrated in the top of the layers palette. This means that my layers are constantly scrolling themselves around and making it physically exhausting to use Photoshop. I'm on a retina screen 27 "(5K iMac)." Not only did I get distracted by the pallet to move, I have to also remember where I was still in the palette (layers are named, but I have 26 work plans, so it's a lot.), then scroll around to get there.

    Also, when I delete the layer, the palette groups of select and focus parent of the deleted group at the top of the list. In this case, let's say I duplicated only accidentally an item (and then removed), then I have to realize I've been teleported elsewhere and find my way back.

    I know the new behavior of items being placed in groups now sitting at the top instead of the bottom of the group - is not that, but maybe a bug related to this new behavior?

    This issue does not appear to occur in PSD who did no work plans.

    There is bug here that is being developed at the present time in development.

    When you choose the command duplicate the layer (or group of two copies) and the layer is a work plan, it is moved to the top of the layer stack and then re-nested in the above work plan that can hold the layer. When nested in a work plan, the layer is placed on top of the stack in the artboard. Most of the time, it seems just the layer gets duplicated upward from the current artboard, but in some cases, as you have discovered, it can actually go to another plan of work.

    Of course, this is problematic.

    The workaround for now is option and drag the layers in the layers palette to explicitly in the order of desired layer stack.

    In addition, there are a number of other behaviors that you describe in this thread that I think can also be problematic, but he'll have to look more carefully. Thanks for the information and please let us know if you see anything that affects your workflow with work plans.

  • ID CS6v8 - White Pages, lack of text, the angle slider, etc..

    Very strange problems with a file.

    1. I get blank pages where I had completed a layout (Yes, I can see the items in layers and elements reappear if I disable called < group > elements, but not all.

    2. some pages have missing elements. 3. some pages contain text boxes that appear empty where the text was already visible. When I try to repopulate the text box, I get a slanted slider. I can see the text in editor mode.

    3. when I try to fill in the boxes of art, nothing is visible, even if it comes in layers, but not in the links.

    I think they are somehow related because they all arrived at the same time to the same group of pages. The rest of the document, containing the same type of items, looks very good.

    It is a complex and comprehensive document. Help!

  • Several masks on a stage not effective.

    I am trying to create a relatively simple effect where several elements in a scene are in color, and the rest of the scene is in black and white.  I am not able to create more than one mask at a time to achieve.  Several masks, after the first (that works) do not cut across the stage.

    I tried to apply the fast color corrector to my shot, Desaturate, then apply masks to the items I want in the color and inversion.  This works very well for the first mask only.

    I also tried layering of elements, so the layer 1 is desaturated, and elements located above each have a mask (or hidden) on each element of beauty.  Again, the stage on Layer 2 is effective, but the layers above don't 'cut' down to the bottom of the layer 1.

    Any advice would be helpful.  Premiere Pro 8.2, 2014.2 running.

  • Invalid Argument exception

    Hello

    Trying to send commands to the illustrator of c#. I can create a new document, draw a few simple paths/objects, copy/paste things. But when I try to do something with the Page/group elements such as change their position or size I get "Invalid Argument Exception".

    It is there no c# script reference, so I use Visual Basic one. And it has worked well for simpler things.

    Please tell me what is the problem with this code:

    I don't know about c#, but visual basic uses parentheses instead of brackets, and the berries of the object are 1 based... so, to access the first group, in visual basic, you must write it like this

  • Analysis of speech as layer markers - how?

    this page States:

    "If you import files with a speech of metadata in After Effects, each word appears as a layer on the layers these elements of film-based marker."

    I tried various methods to do this without success.  Can someone please explain exactly how its done.  I have metadata that appear in the metadata for the first clip Panel so analysis is complete.  I can get the same result in Soundbooth, but no guides layer appear in after FX when I import the files.

    I tried it and it worked for me. The temporal XMP metadata, stored in an exported movie Premiere Pro was converted to layer markers in After Effects.

    You must have the active preference to create layer markers from footage XMP metadata . This tutorial shows the steps.

    I brought and downloaded Photoshop elements 14 in March and still learn to use it.  I'm editing a RAW file and tried to use the functions of layers by opening the layers panel. Once it opens, I can see my photo RAW showed that the background layer and was partially closed. I tried to hit the "create new layer button but it is disabled.  Even at the second button, which is the "create new fill or adjustment layer".  I was wondering if it's a software problem? Since I paid because he doesn't understand why some features of the software are disabled.  Help, please!

    Elements has never supported 16 - bit layers.

    FAQ: Why Photoshop Elements is less expensive? What is different about Photoshop?

    This has nothing to do with trial versions.

    When you change in the raw converter, you can set the menu in the middle of the bottom line to 8 bits.

    Or you can open 16 - bit, use the global changes of the editor without layers (the only edits where 16-bit is useful) then convert 8 - bit to layer or detail work.
