LED flashes code 1

Hi mickael,.

See the table below.

The blink code indicates that the processor has not, however, I would definitely not hesitate to suggest to go forward and the replacement of this.  I have seen many people posting the same code which replaced the processor and the laptop still does not start and still shows this error code, so the real problem may be with the support of the processor or card system - processor failure is also quite rare.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the laptop repaired - you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

If you are no longer under warranty, my best advice would be to take the laptop to a computer repair shop and get a diagnosis of the problem and an estimate of the cost of the repair.

Kind regards

DP - K

  • Power moves from AC to battery at random, with a strange LED flashes code

    Hi all

From time to time, on a regular basis, I'll have my laptop go battery power even if it is plugged.  When it does this, the led power and battery charge flashing start.  This happens usually after the laptop has been for a little while, but sometimes it will start to do so as soon as I turn it on.  Often, I can run just after that I have unplug the power adapter and plug it back, although it generally takes a few tries, and it is usually only a temporary fix.

Really, I just want to know what it means when the two leds blink.  I could not find this combination in textbooks or anywhere online.

    I have a HP Pavilion dv8000 (dv8310us) Windows XP.

    I appreciate the ideas.

Yes, I think he fixed it.

I went and bought a new universal power adapter a few days ago and the problem has occurred again since then.

In fact, it happened once the first time I used it, but it turns out I had the adapter put half a volt too low.  So I think the power, and load it LED two flashing simply means that the adapter does not have enough power, meaning mine was indeed that went wrong.

  • LED flashing - need to know the Satellite Pro 6100 POST error codes

When I tried to turn on my Satellite Pro 6100 laptop the Green DC in power light turned orange and started to blink.
It flashes 5 times, then 3 times then repeats.

I guess that this indicates a failure in the system, but where can I find what means this error code?

    Hello

You can read the flashing code very easily short flashing means 0 long average 1.
Then you read the complete code back.

Finally, the error code must be converted into HEXADECIMAL value and then a technician of the laptop could know what means this value.

The ASP in your country should provide details of the mentioned error.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite Pro M10 cannot start properly - AC LED flashing orange

    Hello

    I have a weird problem that I can't solve.

    (1) when my Satellite Pro M10 the plugged AC adapter and the battery, the AC led is green and battery led is orange.
    (2) when I try to turn it on, several times it not light and the dissepear of leds for 1 or 2 seconds and my AC led flashes orange. Sometimes it lights up as it should be.
    _________
When this problem occurs, it will take a lot of time before it turns normally. I searched the internet for a solution, but I couldn't find one.

I already removed the battery and try to turn it on, but it does not solve the problem. Or when I remove the AC adapter and try to start it on the battery itself.

I also removed the two of them and you press the button power on for 60 seconds. After that, it will sometimes start with mains or battery adapter.

My bios is updated to the latest version. (I've done this when he started only five minutes ago, but the problem is not resolved). I also believe that when the m10 is enabled and when I close it, it crashes also.

Do anyone know how to solve the poblem? Thanks in advance.

    Hello

These problems are very rare and shouldn't t happen if hardware or software is ok.
Power LED blinking orange means there could be a hardware malfunction.
It is a code flashing microphone and a technician can be read.
This code must be translated into the hexadecimal digit.

But for ordinary users it s not able to know what it means. In my opinion a power electronic malfunctions and must be verified by an ASP.

  • Satellite Pro 6100 shows flashes code 73 h

    Hello

I have a SP6100 where only power led flashes.

    I think the code is long - long - short - short - long - long - long - short that represents 73 h I think.

    The picture says

PPV voltage is not less than 0.68V when the computer is turned off.

But does that mean? As I'm German I can't really say if this means that the motherboard is broken or if it's something more easy to repair.

    Could someone help me please?

    Best regards
    Matthias

    > I think the code is long - long - short - short - long - long - long - short that represents 73 h I think.
You are right; It s 73H

Means of long short 1: 0
So the code is: 1100 1110
Due to the least significant bit, must read this by behind; means: 0011 0111
    0111 0011 = 73 H

However, these codes mean more often that it found a motherboard problem
I don't think that the replacement motherboard might help you

But the motherboard is expensive and in my opinion, is not worth a remedy on this oldie...

The blink code is displayed if there is something wrong with the hardware.
    Code: 0100 0001 should read it back 1000 0010 = 82 h

The Toshiba service partner should know what is the meaning by mistake 82 h

  • Pavilion g6 - B7D20UA #ABA: LEDs blink code... 7 times?

First of all, I know that when the problem started.  It was the day after I bought it, and it was abandoned on floor 3 ft.  I tried to use an external monitor, changed the LED screen, "well-known work" ram and hard drive and reset all connections, nothing helps.

The main issue I have is that all I get trying to start is a trouble of 7 flashes code.  Everyone that I have never heard talk of an HP flashes 7 times.  As you can imagine, I told more than 10 times with the same result.

    This laptop is salvagable?

  • Power supply question - amber LED flashing - Dimension E520

So, I'm working on the dust removal and re - install windows on a machine. I've done dusting, but now I have problems with a LED flashes orange. The system will not top all - fuel without fans or beeps.

After looking through some posts for ideas, I think it is a bad power supply or a problem with the heat sink.

I think power because this seems to be a common problem. How can I test the existing? Is there a way to fire unless it is connected to the motherboard?

The reason why I am wary of the heatsink is that I removed it when I was doing the dusting. I had the intention of fire tonight and get a new thermal paste in the coming days. Since then, I have read that this could be a recipe for frying the total CPU and I wonder if the machine is not pulled up like a check for free preservation any.

It detects if I removed the heatsink? If it's happening, it will automatically detect when the new thermal paste is in there? Or is there a reset procedure any?

Any help would be great. Thank you!

As a side note, the design of this box is poor. I can't find some way to dust effectively the heatsink without removing it from the central unit. Supply openings do not match, so you cannot blow a good flow of air through the box.
