  I had this problem as well. I reduced to a conflict between two of my addons. In my case, Tab Mix Plus v0.3.8.6 and GreaseMonkey v0.9.10. Then, I checked the sites for these two addons and discovered that this is a known issue and will be fixed in GreaseMonkey v0.9.11 (which apparently is in beta at the moment).

  For those of you experience this problem, check if your addons may be causing it.

I have recently installed the latest windows updates and you've probably noticed that I can no longer select multiple items by holding the CTRL key and clicking on the left.   The right click button does not work on the mouse pad, as well as a usb mouse. I used Acer to factory restore disks to restore it to out of box state. Same question. If you use the control panel to switch the buttons then the only thing that happens is the cursor move no click at all.  Also after a period of rental time computer warm up suddenly the cursor works, but even the left click will not work it will highlight the icon but not allow you to click on it.   Looks like you did everything I thought and much more. He makes it sound like a problem with the hardware at this stage and would require the replacement of the motherboard. Looks like that the southbridge is not working properly.

  I think that it s speaker malfunction, I doubt that it s a loose connection or something like that and I would not recommend trying to fix this problem yourself.
  First of all, know all you n t that's exactly wrong, and second, you will lose your warranty and could damage other parts if you would disassemble the laptop.

  I have a problem with my laptop that I don't understand and I need help from the community.
  As the title says... If I connect to my laptop using a standard account the touchpad does not work if I try to tap to click. Left and right buttons work, move the slider works, works of scrolling, but endearing tape... not even a single tap. If I log in with my account as an administrator, the touchpad works like a charm, no problems. Tap to click and everything you want. If I disconnect the admin account and sign in as a standard user, the problems are back again. I can move the cursor, click on the two buttons (left, right), but I can't type to click...

  I tried to reinstall the driver for the touchpad (which is MOMENTUM...) but it did not.   All this trouble occurs only when I use the standard account. With the administrator account, I don't get any errors so I soar options, disable them, activate them and most importantly, the tap to click works.

  What is the problem with the standard account?
