Lenovo B590 - Arabic keyboard

Good evening

New here, not really a Lenovo customer but both my parents are. The thing is, both of them use the Arabic language, many being their native language and all but their laptops English/Greek. I just want to know if and how I can order replacement in English/ARABIC keyboards. My father uses the on-screen keyboard to type in Arabic and it kind of regret to see.

I got lost in the Lenovo support pages so I ask you for a redirect link, phone number, all which can help. I live in Greece now, I can do the replacement myself. Yet once again, I need an Arabic keyboard for B590 model...

I am eager to help here, I will appreciate any useful responses.

Thank you.

just found this on ebay. should work but to confirm, contact the seller first.

the alternative is to use an Arabic external keyboard if you do not find. In addition, you can change the keyboard on windows and put stickers on keys as an alternative.

I hope one of them helps.

Edit "typo".

  • Lenovo B590: RAM upgrade is not detected

    Hi all

Yesterday, I bought a chip of PC3-12800 CL11 204 pins SODIMM RAM Kingston 4 GB of my local store of hardware because I wanted to update my Lenovo B590 memory, which - by default - has 4 GB of DDR3 RAM installed. I have double checked if memory was compatible with my B590 calling Lenovo support and searching the Web (which gives this message, for example). The two sources confirmed the upgrade should not be a problem if I did not exceed the limit of 8GB. However, after that I had plugged the RAM, I found that it was not recognized by my OS (Windows) and my BIOS. They are always saying that I only have the factory installed 4096MB.
How can I make my system use this RAM upgrade? Please help, you have my gratitude!

Note: when I determine which RAM to buy, I've checked also which type of memory was already installed in my B590 by the manufacturer. I unscrewed my notebook and found a chip, brand Hynix memory, I assumed it was a single 4GB chip. However, the search results for of his series on the web show it is in fact a DDR3 SDRAM 2 GB chip. I checked my hardware, but could not see any other chip (even though I'm 100% sure that my system has 4 GB of RAM installed by the manufacturer). If this has nothing to do with the above? Thanks again!

RESOLVED: The RAM chip is not inserted properly in the additional location. All works fine now.

  • Compatible with Lenovo B580 replacement keyboard

    Hi all!

I'm looking for a new keyboard for my laptop Lenovo B580 (after an unfortunate accident). But I can't understand that one is 100% compatible, I've read that even if it looks exactly like the original one and she is on the inside, may not always work.

I would like to know what are other keyboards of models compatible with my model: G580, B570, B590 (and some others) look the same, but I'm not sure the Ribbon... (I read that cannot work because of different Ribbon).

I checked my model serial number in search of pieces of Lenovo, and it seems that my keyboard FRU is 25204638, but on the keyboard itself is written:

    • P/N: 25204608
    • Model No.: T4TQ-ICU
    • Made by Chicony

This is the point where I got confused... I'm not familiar with these numbers. I'm ready to buy on Ebay, so I don't want to buy the wrong. Any help is appreciated, if no additional information is needed let me know.

Thank your for taking the time to read my post.

Contact Lenovo support by phone, you may find that a replacement keyboard is less expensive than you think, and they will also be able to give you the exact model search.

Lenovo, brand parts are the only ones that will work and be guaranteed.

    Good luck.

  • Lenovo Y560: Strange keyboard problems

Apart from the BSOD and random graphics driver accidents, I met a problem that I have never seen or heard of before. My keyboard types numbers. He's not numlock, and it isn't the key with numlock fn or the other. The entire keyboard. It will happen random and all entries of the keyboard, leading to sequential numbers. For example, typing "my cell phone is disappointing me" translates into 12 345678 90 1234567890123 45. This has happened repeatedly in the browser. Refreshing and reopening the browser usually solved the problem.

However, the problem has worsened recently. When you play, hit without fail register as numbers. This means that instead of move, the character will be standing and change weapons / do whatever the number keys are glued to the. I tried with different programs and have had the same problems. Reopening the program and restarting haven't. I did a system restore that solved the problem for a short period, but the question comes back after a reboot. I really don't want to return this or reformat and try all possible solutions.

keyboard replacement may solve your problem.

If you have a valid warranty, contact lenovo support line and ask replacement free of charge.

  • Lenovo B590 won't usb key boot

I just bought this laptop and it came with windows preinstalled 8, and I'm trying to install Windows 7 on it.

I have a bootable usb key, which I've used several times to install Windows on my other laptops, but the just B590 won't. I feel I have tried everything. I changed boot priority in the BIOS with USB HDD as number 1, but it always starts just in windows 8.

I tried to delete everything except the boot order USB devices, and now I get this start menu:
    http://i.imgur.com/1iV2iaW.jpg

Which is exactly what I want to boot from, but when I press ENTER to boot the USB device, nothing happens. It's incredibly frustrating.

The USB device IS bootable with a primary partition. I used these steps to make it bootable in DISKPART:
    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/234.how-to-deploy-Windows-7-from-a-USB-Dr...

After having no luck on the B590, I tried to boot from the USB stick on another computer and it works perfectly fine. Start the installation of windows 7. This suggests that the problem is not with my USB.

I even tried to restore the USB and use Lenovo generator Bootable application to make the bootable usb key, with the same result.

    Can anyone help?

    Hi Hypotaksen,

Thank you for using the Community Forums of Lenovo!

    BIOS backwards

    Under the Startup tab

    Change Boot mode in legacy

    USB boot must be enabled

    Under Security

    Secure Boot should be disabled

In case the above options are grayed out in your BIOS, got to the tab out and change OS optimized defaults to other OS

    and look at the options.

Once all are set be sure to save all changed by pressing F10 and enter for Yes

After Hitting enter it restart and you have to keep tapping F12

This should make the Start Menu that lets you choose where to start. You should now have your USB optional.

    Let me know your results

    Hello

Just wanted to give an update on this issue, in case someone else runs into a similar situation. As I said, I'm under market entirely adapter. I found that the old ground had not been eradicated because if you go out without replacing, it leaves a gaping hole in your laptop!

I solved the problem of blinky light orange by disconnecting the battery, but leaving so much, with little electrical tape, to hold it in place that it will protect the pins bit inside battery - thanks for the link to the manual, it is also useful.

  • URGENT! Lenovo B590 - bad health that plugged while battery!

Hello, I have a Lenovo laptop B590 and received a message from the center of Solutions Lenovo telling me that my battery is in poor condition. He is currently 2%. I am connected with a power adapter and have not used the laptop unplugged. What should I do to fix this? My computer will still be able to run with just the AC power?

UPDATE: I am now able to use my laptop with 0% battery (apparently KT is picking up the slack). As a solution, I am also trying a new exposed by resetting the gauge with the "Battery maintenance" function in the "Power Manager". He has just completed, now it shows 0% instead of 2%. Although the power manager says "100% battery remaining". As I am always online and the computer still seems to work, I guess it's okay. ....?

Still wondering if I need to do something else (besides than the reset of the gauge) to recharge the battery, should I just remove it from the laptop, leave him alone, or must it be replaced?

    Abdul_Ahad wrote:

    Purpledove,

Have you tried to run a battery meter reset?

Yes. It took my battery of 2% to 0% and now it says 100% fully charged"while saying"consider replacing your battery. " Of course, I do not need to replace the battery because I'm not using it anyway.
