Lenovo E320 Image capture

Hi all

I recently took a sucessful Windows x 64 screenshot an E320 Lenovo using the deployment console Altiris 6.9 SP5 (Capture/deployment tool is Symantec's Ghost). The issue is when I try to deploy this image to an another Lenovo E320. The image is captured successfully and I can deploy without mistakes too. The question is when the E320 Lenovo restarts the start screen stays stuck to the quick Splash Lenovo boot

No idea if it's a chipset or Bios setting needs to be changed?

This has now been resolved by changing the Settings of the Bios

  • PDF Image Capture files

Since the update to Sierra (although I can't say that this was the cause of the problem), I have a problem when parsing and saving documents in PDF format using the image transfer application. A PDF file is created but when I open the pages are naked with perhaps only sometimes visible top line (and which appears at the bottom of the page!). This problem occurs only when I choose the PDF format; If I choose to save as an image file (PNG, for example), it works fine.

My printer driver is up to date and if I use software of third parties (e.g., HP Scan) this problem is specific to the application of Capture of Image so I can create PDF files successfully.

This problem occurs on my iMac Mini and Mac Book Pro which have been updated for the last OS of Sierra

You see the problem even if you scan to PDF using Preview?

I use an excerpt instead of the Image Capture to do this and he continues to work very well in the Sierra AFAICT. I'll try with the Image Capture when I get the chance, just to compare. He used to work as well, but I've not scanned with it in quite awhile.

  • Image Capture App combining OS Sierra files

Hi I have a problem with the application of Capture of Image integrated into the Apple OS since the update to the Sierra. Before the update I scan documents into the feeder of my MFP as a PDF file and select 'combine them into single document option. of course, I get a PDF file with the scans in. I would then analyze an other internal documents and again, I would get another PDF document with them in.

Since the update OS Sierra and using the same settings as the first PDF file is created in the end, however when I go to scan the next set of documents Yes it creates another PDF file with these files in but she also adds the previous set of scanned files to the same doc. This continues for each subsequent set of scanned files. The only way I managed to prevent this must either exit the Capture Image soft after each set of scanned documents or in the test results window, select the magnifying glass next to the analysis the folder Apps of Capture Image temporary Doc and send these files to the trash. It's as if the app is no longer clearing Temp files between scans automatically.

  • image capture does not recognize my iPhone when I connect to my mac?

I have the iPhone, when I connect it to my photos of mac does not open... How can I put on it to open it

    Hello rosrich,

If I understand your message that you are eager to the Mac to open Image Capture when you connect your iPhone so that you can import the photos. I would like to have the possibility of having an auto app launch when I connect my iPhone as well. I'll be happy to help you with this.

If you go ahead and open Capture of Image and then connect the iPhone, in the lower left corner, you will see the name of your iPhone and the "connection this iPhone opens:" you have the option to choose what app that you like. So if you want Image Capture to open when you connect your iPhone, you would select which. If you want pictures to open, you would select Photos instead. Information on the AutoImporter lies in the following article:

  • Import Photos with Image Capture

Hi people, I do not know if I am posting this in the right forum. If this isn't the case, feel free to have moved him.

I did some research trying to help this user and also to learn.

Import all pictures (including photos from iTunes backup) iPhone to mac

I have a Mac and a PC but I use the PC for my main photo library. When I import pictures from my iPhone to the PC using the Import Wizard, Windows 10 maintains a cache to remember photos that have been previously imported so that they don't re - import. I can post the path to the cache but it is useless, the cache is a file system, called "PreviouslyAcquired.db".  If I remove photos from my PC which have been imported and you want then re - import, I have to reset this cache (delete) so that the photos to import again. Otherwise the photos already imported are ignored and only new ones appear on the Import Wizard.

The reason for this post is that I wonder if OS X (Photos or Image Capture) retains the same type of cache. I also wonder if this is the reason why the OP on the wire above cannot re - import the photos that have been restored from their old iPhone.

    So my questions are:

    (1) with OS X Image Capture, can a photo to reimport previously imported?

    (2) no OS X maintains a similar to Windows cache and if so where is it and how it is reset? I looked on my MBP 10.11.5 but nothing helped. It is obviously not the iPod Photo Cache - that one is associated with iTunes synchronizes only. I also started the Image Capture, but cannot see any parameter for this purpose.

    (3) I.C. will give me the opportunity to re - import if it imported the same before pictures? I could make an experience, but the bright minds here probably know the answers.

    Any info appreciated...

I have found no Apple documentation on it, but when I use the Image Capture to import from a camera or card in a folder in the Finder, I can import the same items over and over again. There is no control for imports carried out previously.

Only when I import using a photo app that maintenance photo library (Photos, iPhoto, Aperture) pictures will be checked for duplicates when importing.  But even with Photos, iPhoto, Aperture can I restore deleted photos by import since the device again, if I removed them from the library.

    Thank you.

    Hey there, at0m87!

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I understand from the information you provided, when you connect your iPhone and open picture Capture, there are missing thumbnails. I manage my own photos on my Mac, so I can understand wanting and needing these thumbnails to display correctly. I have a few things you can try to help him.

    1. Eject your iPhone from the computer and stop Capture of Image. Press in and hold the SHIFT key on your keyboard while reopening of Capture of Image again. Connect your iPhone and the test of the miniatures.
    2. Restart your Mac. Stop the Image Capture, eject your iPhone from the computer, and then click the menu  Apple in the upper left corner of your screen. In the menu, choose "restart". When you start the computer, open picture Capture and connect your iPhone. Test the thumbnails.
    3. Look for updates on Mac and your iPhone.

The following article will help to check and install updates for your Mac.

    4. Check Image Capture thumbnails in safe mode. Eject your iPhone from the computer, and then follow the steps outlined in the article below the link to start in safe mode

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

Even if the title of the article is not specific to your question, safe mode is always a good step to take. It performs several checks of your system during the boot process, and disables some software that could cause a conflict.

    5. Try the Image Capture in a new user account. The article in the link below will give you instructions on the implementation of a new account, as well as some information as to why this may be useful.

  • I use Image Capture to shoot pics my phone is off

Tired of importers jpg directly to photographs, then having to export and re-name-the, I use Image Capture to extract my iPhone.  I save it to my desktop.   I got their name in the Finder.  Then, I open the pictures and import them from my office.  When I finished all imports, I delete the pictures on my desk.  I have been through the jpgs in Photos and see several that I KNOW that I have given a file name, but they have names like IMG_5677.  What a waste of time!   I HATE it that Apple makes it so difficult just give a file name to your photos!  I use filenames for reasons of family history.  I don't want to be enslaved to a convention of software as "Securities.".

    Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

You must make the difference between the file and the data it contains. This Word file is not your novel, it is a container. The data it contains is your novel. The Beatles never wrote or recorded an mp3 file. He wrote and recording Let It Be , and this mp3 file contains a copy of this record. That jpeg is not your Photo. It is actually a compression format that contains a version of your photo.

    - And is not Apple, but a convention shared by all the camera manufacturers, software manufacturers and so on - there is a difference between the name of the file that refers to the file and the title of the photo which is a name that you give the image. Thus, IMG_5677 is a file name, our marriage is a title for a photo.

The title of the photo is saved in Exif and IPTC Photo metadata and that is accessible by all software photo on all computer systems. Add a title in pictures, export the image, send it to a Windows machine, open it in, say, Lightroom, and there is the title.

There is an agreed standard all of the manufacturers of cameras and software manufacturers.

    Compatible with this standard photos.

You want to use filenames for titles which is not standard, and if you find yourself with this complexity.

Here is another way to work. Import the images in the Photos. Add a title to them in Photos. So, if you want a free version at some point that has the title as file name, export the image (file-> export) and, in the export dialog, he say to use the title as the file name.

    Less complex and standards.

  • Image capture said not accessible selected folder writable

I am running 10.11.5. Have not used the Image Capture for some time and when used today, it scanned a look very well but gave me the message "the selected folder is not writable" when I went to the analysis and save it. I tried saving the file on the desktop. The first thing I did was to check the permissions, but to no avail.

I wasn't having a problem with preview none-the-less, I moved the folder ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Preview on the desktop, but that no longer works.

Someone has any idea of what could be wrong?

Create a new folder on the desktop and save in this folder as a Test.

  • Problems with image capture.

Anyone has this problem. When I connect my iPhone 5 to my macbook and use Image Capture to transfer photos image capture will sometimes see not all the photos. Ex I have 25Photos on the phone, but only sees the image capture 20. The other 5 are displayed.

Several other similar reports here. No solution.

If your workflow allows it, use my photo stream to sync your iPhone to your computer. Seems to work more reliably than the manual method.

  • Image capture does not recognize scanner

I have three Macs. An old iMac (early 2008), MacBook Pro (early 2011) and a newly acquired iMac 4K retina. All are running 10.11.4. I have an Epson Perfection V370, who is about two years old attached to the new machine. She was attached to the old iMac Image Capture when he recognized without problems. On the new machine, which it is now fixed, picture Capture is no sign of him and nor does the component prefs printers and Scanners. He appears in the USB of the app information system section. It works very well with Epson Scan and also with VueScan. I downloaded the latest driver on the Epson web site with no change in this behavior.

Someone at - it clues as to how I could do this job?

I have now found the solution to this Epson buried on site. What I had to do was run Capture of Image, choose "Devices to TWAIN Reset" on the file menu and restart the Mac. The scanner then appeared in preferences, printers and Scanners and today works with the Image Capture. The page on the Epson site says I need to uninstall Epson Capture and reinstall. I found that I didn't have to do.

  • Image capture is no longer open JPEG files?

I have a Canon Pixma 5320 printer who has worked with Image Capture under OS X Yosemite. El Capitan 10.11.4 waited upgrade came out before installing it. Now the printer seems to be able to scan, but Image Capture can not open files in any format. I downloaded the latest driver on the Canon Website, but no cigar. I did not remove my Canon in the Applications folder, however.

I didn't know he can open files of any type. Image capture is to take pictures of a device and import them to your Mac. It is not an image viewer. I can't even remember there being a command open on the file menu.
