    Hello

I have a Tecra S5 with USB 2.0 Port replicator II. I have 3 ethernet connections all together on my PC: LAN on motherboard, WiFi and the other on the USB port replicator.

At home, I use WiFi for internet connection and USB to Ethernet to a wired connection to devices with built-in web server.

My problem is that when the WiFi and USB to Etherenet is active the internet and the connection to the web server works but vey slow.
If I turn off the WiFi and connect to the web server works properly.
If I disable USB for Ethernet internet connection works correctly.

Anyone has same problem and suggestion how to solve?
I downloaded the latest drivers from the Toshiba support page.
    My OS is XPSP2.

    Hello!

It looks like a network configuration problem. Check the network addresses and configuration in command line with the command ipconfig/all.

Try using static IP addresses. I think that the DHCP server takes a long time to go send an IP address to each laptop.

  • Need drivers for USB 2.0 Port Replicator

I just bought a Satellite Pro laptop computer with the Windows Vista operating system. I would use my replicator USB ports, but you need to download the driver for this? Can someone tell where I can find a site for me?

    Hello

I Don t understand why you need the drivers for a usb port replicator? Usually you don t need drivers because windows automatically installs the port replicator.
Would be interesting (and useful) to know that you have materials. Tell me what portreplicator and mobile you have.

    Would appreciate some comments.

I don't know who you mean with you, but it will be interesting to know what model of laptop you have.

Is your model of laptop that Vista supported?

As far as I know that it is not necessary to install drivers for PRII. I use the same with my Tecra (WXP).

Please help me find the fast USB port on my laptop.

In the Device Manager on my laptop HP HP G60-100 series, it confirms that I have an enhanced USB port.  Can someone please tell me which of the three ports is the fast USB port?  I have to save a lot of information from my phone & it takes too much time.  Difficult to test each port as I am in the middle of a long transfer.

It is not in the product manual, ports are listed as USB ports.

    Hello

I think that the enhanced USB port is that which is directly soldered to the motherboard and, most likely, on the left side of the laptop where the ports HDMI, VGA or eSATA. The other side ports are connected to the motherboard by a cable and probably use another USB controller.

  • LT2323z - connect to the USB 3.0 Port Replicator

I just bought the LT2323z monitor to go with a X carbon 1 and connect via the USB 3.0 port replicator.
However the LT2323z has displayport digital connections and the DVI-d port replicator. Any ideas how to connect to their place? Here are the flagship of Lenovo products, bought directly with Lenovo, but they do not seem to be compatible. I'm missing something until I send them all back for my money!

The LT2323z, take the VGA connection, which takes care of your USB docking station 3.0 with the adapter DVI to VGA, which is included in the box. But the quality of the video connection is not terrible.

There is no solution from docking station USB supported displayport. If you need to connect to the screen, you must use a direct miniDP to DP cable connector (which is unfortunate).

  • Portege R700: Speed Port Replicator HI + USB Vista questions

    Good afternoon

I am having trouble with 4-5 new R500-1hd (311th short number), the number could be higher, but users could not have reported it.
If the laptop is disconnected from the HI Speed Port Replicator 2, it off very well and the laptop can be used, but when the laptop is brought back it does not recognize the mouse or the keyboard. The device does not appear as an "unknown device" in Device Manager, but just does not at all appear.

A new problem that has arisen is again when the machine is off station USB devices install\work not unless they are connected on port SATA\USB, once again the machine failed to detect at all. Even when devices are picked up, it may take in any case of 30-60 seconds before the work of the mouse and the keyboard.

These are corporate images deployed through WDS and the problem is very intermittent.
A reset is applied each time the device will be detected.

I had a couple of flying machines and finished the stretch prior to the computer with Windows 7, computer image portable devices all work fine with or without the docking station and can be used instantly.

Isn't anyone has an idea how I can fix this problem?

    Hello

As far as I know speed Port Replicator HI new supports the USB 3.0 standard.
I found the USB driver on the European driver Toshiba for the USB 3.0 feature page.

I recommend that you install this!

Thanks for posting comments after trying that

  • Portege Z30-A-12N with Port Replicator Port Hi-Speed USB III problems

    Hi all

I have a big problem with my new Portege Z30-A-12N and Hi-Speed Port Replicator III.

I connected the power, DVI, LAN, mouse and keyboard to the Port Replicator.
Power, DVI and LAN are okay, but none will be found if I connect something to the USB Ports 2.0 or 3.0.
No mouse, no keyboard, and no USB key.

When I start my Portege I must enter a password after you press the power button.
These password, I could enter with the external keyboard, but in windows, no keyboard has been found.

If I connect the keyboard and mouse to the USB Ports of the Portege instead of Port Replicator, the two has been found.

I ran Windows 7 Enterprise on the Portege.
    BIOS version is 3.30

Do you have a solution for me?

    Hello

    The HI-SPEED PORT REPLICATOR III PA5116E-1PRP supports 2 x USB 2.0 and 4 x USB 3.0 ports.
You n t special need Win 7 drivers in order to be able to use the USB ports or other interfaces such as VGA, DVI, audio, etc.

Sound problems, make sure that the audio device has been selected in the right panel-> sound-> playback tab

By the way: Win 7 needs USB driver 3.0 which is preinstalled when the laptop was equipped with USB 3.0 ports. My knowledge if your mobile phone does not support USB 3.0, you will be able to use the port replicator USB 3.0 ports.

Finally and above all devices must be connected before you start the computer. The decision supported and compatible specifications: Portégé R30 - A, Tecra Z40 - A, Tecra Z50 - A, Portégé Z30-A/Z30t-A, Tecra A50 - has

  • Portage Z30-A-13W connected to the high speed Port Replicator III - USB problems

    Hi all.

We recently bought a new Portage Z30-A-13W and Hi-Speed Port Replicator III.
Setting network and graphics work correctly with port replicator, but the USB ports don't work at all.

I tried the port replicator USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 and I can't seem to work with a keyboard, mouse, USB key or a mobile phone.

In the case of mobile phones, it is also no output power of the ports that the mobile does not start to load.

At any one another experianced this problem and what was the resolution.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

As far as I know additional drivers are not really needed to use the USB ports.
This is why I m wondering why don t USB ports work.

It might be possible that ports high speed Port Replicator III USB are faulty, but to be honest, I can't imagine that all 6 USB ports may bad work at the same time.

So maybe it s a software problem.
First of all, I would recommend the default BIOS and check the USB legacy support for keyboard and mouse could be activated.
After access to the Device Manager and remove / delete the USB hubs and controllers in the list of devices.

Keep high speed Port Replicator III connected to the computer and restart the device.
Usually, the system should recognize automatically deleted USB ports and must update the drivers of USB ports.

I hope that the USB ports don't work after this short workaround solution.
    Keep your fingers crossed.

  • Problems with the port replicator USB 2.0 after installing Windows XP - SP2

    Hello world

I have a Satellite M30 742 with MS-Windows XP Professional installed. I plugged most of my external devices to him through a port replicator Toshiba USB 2.0. Everything seems to work fine until I installed Service Pack 2.

Therefore, starting my laptop computer is an adventure to recognize random port replicator: usually four USB ports are recognized, but the ports series and parallel, keyboard and mouse ports are ignored, with a message "unknown USB device".

Uninstalling and reinstalling, them or their drivers are a vain effort, since Windows keep ignoring them.

However, in other occasions, they are recognized without problems (even if windows insist on installing their drivers each time that it finds, even if I have already installed a large number of times).

Please, you have an idea to solve this problem * boring * problem?

Thank you very much in advance,
    Ricardo.

    Hello

what you might try is to reinstall the chipset driver because I think that the USB is connected to the chipset.

In my opinion the Windows upgrade had changed the pilot USB from Toshiba a MS a. So the Port Replicator is not recognized all the time.

  • Tecra A11 & Express Port Replicator II - USB problems

    Hello

I'm having a problem with a port replicator that I simple couldn't have resolved for months. I'll try to explain this as best I can.

We have a Tecra A11, which seems to work fine running on Windows 7 Professional. When the Tecra A11 is pluged in an Express Port Replicator 2, not USB ports in the port replicator's work at all. Very good cell phone fees and the LAN switches on the replicator fine, but the USB ports simly does not work under any circumstances. It would also be interesting to note that the green light next to the "eject" button lights never really.

I downloaded and installed the latest series driver for Windows 7 from the Toshiba support page which has no effect. We had 2 replacements for Toshiba because they also agreed that the previous, we had were not woring correctly, but this obviously was not the case because we still have the same problem with our 3rd unit. The Tecra A11 was sent back to Toshiba with case notes clearly describing the question, and he was sent to us "no fault found".

Unfortunately, we don't have any other laptops to test on the port replicator. but I'm seriously suspect that the problem lies in the laptop, rather than the port replicator. For any idea or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Steve.

    Hello

According to your message, you are not sure if the problem is related to the defective laptop Tecra or express port replicator.
Hmm theoretically the problem might be related to defective express port replicator or Tecra.

If found some information on the USB ports and the repliators port:

+ Make sure that the element of Legacy USB in the BIOS emulation is set to "Enabled". This feature only works for the keyboard and mouse. Also note that the keyboard and mouse must be connected before you start the computer. A USB mouse, keyboard or the floppy drive connected to the Port Replicator via any other connection that a hub of the first level, will not work until the operating system has started. +

I also recommend to check the version of the BIOS; If the most recent BIOS is available, then you need to update this

  • Port Replicator III + very high CPU when you move the usb mouse only in W2k

Tecra M2 with a port replicator III +.

It is set to dual boot XP and Windows 2000 (yes I know it is well a bit but I have a bunch of stuff installed in win2k it is difficult to find these days).

XP is very good at 100%, but with win 2000 if I use my * USB mouse * on the * ports port replicator and waggle the mouse around - the * CPU * jumps from 0 to * 70 + % * use (System process that seems indicatates like IRQ problem). If I plug the mouse into the ports of the laptop (when the laptop is connected) - it's fine, no more than 5% cpu usage. It's a microsoft basic mouse. I really believe that this is a problem of usb any, because the cpu jumps a little if I type quickly on my usb keyboard (only a few %). It comes with the usb ports on all the Replicator.

Any ideas? I don't really want to plug my mouse in the morning because it beats a little interest to have a docking station in the first place! I have installed mobile extensions. All other aspects of the replicator are fine

    Martin

Huh it will not be easy to find the right explanation for this.
At the moment when Tecra M2 has been offered on the market as Replicator port compatible Toshiba offered Toshiba Advanced Port Replicator III (no +) and at that time both supported in operating system has been tested with it.

Toshiba later designed Toshiba Advanced Port Replicator III + and confirmed the compatibility with Tecra M2, but obviously with more recent WXP (at this time).
So now, you've been following situation: you use most recent Replicator port, but with much older operating system so I assume that there may be a compatibility issue with W2K.

I can't imagine use you so often with W2K and if so, may not be so problematic to connect the mouse directly on the cell s USB port.

Sorry, but I don't think that there is nothing you can do about it.
