The main problem isn't so HARD drive?

Is this a sign that the HARD drive will die? I plug just this laptop for 2 weeks

This does not happen every time, it disappeared when I restart the laptop...

But how can I solve this problem 100%? do not happen other times...

It's a possibility that you have a problem starting. This does not mean that the hard drive is dying, but it's just the operating system could not be started.

  • Lenovo laptop z500 does not

    Hello

I started having a problem with my computer laptop z500 and here's how it went past. First I updated my laptop to Windows 8 to 8.1, and then after the update has been finalizied that I closed my laptop, then the next day I woke up and tried to use my laptop it used to open but the screen was completely empty. I can hear the fans moving and the laptop was on but he had no cursor and the screen seems off. I read that you had to connect to a computer and manually change settings online, my computer was not working that day here, so I decided to leave it up to the later and use this laptop as an alternative. 3 weeks ago, and when I tried to open it it did not at all. No fans running, no blinking, nothing, dead. I tried to load it it still does not work, I left it overnight to charge still nothing. I opened the laptop removed my battery and don't put again after 1 minute still no difference. I literally removed my battery 3 times and tried everything I can to fix the laptop but it is not yet supported. I think it might be because I have not installed the firmware Manager or battery for Lenovo when updating to 8.1, but I'm not sure.

Please help me to open my laptop I have a lot of work that cannot be thrown.

    Thank you!

I don't know what is the OneKey but I can't not open all my laptop even if I hold the power for 30 seconds button, load, remove and replace the battery and press and hold again pressed for like a minute. I don't know what is happening, but as you say, I was expecting to be cause of the firmware since I have not update and didn't need. Is there anyway I can install the firmware for my laptop with another laptop? So that its closed? or have an idea to open my laptop?

    Thank you!

I don't think it's because you're not updating the firmware is the cause of the problem. So don't try the upgrade if you can. So that you can continue to work on your files try to open the device and recover the hard disk. Place it in an external enclosure/adapter and connect it to the usb port of another unit. Copy all your files on this computer and work on it.

Worry the Z500 later when you have time. However, of what you have said the most likely cause could be a power supply problem. Whether a defective power supply or battery.

  • Thickness of Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 HDD; Replacement of SSD

    Hey guys,.

    I own a Z500 IdeaPad with a ST500LM012 HN-M500MBB 500 GB HDD by Samsung.

I would like to do an upgrade with a 1 TB of HDD, I would put in the HARD Drive Caddy (replacement CD/DVD drive).

And I also intend to get an EVO 840 Samsung SSD, I place in the main HARD disk location.

BUT the HARD drive I have now is 9, 5mm thick. And the EVO 840 is 7 mm thick. I have problems in the main HARD disk location?

And are there opportunities that I can fit a 12, 5mm disk in the location of main HARD drive or the HARD drive caddy?

I'm terribly sorry for my English is not my mother tongue.

    Thanks in advance.

medo994 wrote:... HARD drive, I have at the moment is 9, 5mm thick. And the EVO 840 is 7 mm thick. I have problems in the main HARD disk location?

Answer: Page 71 of the Hardware maintenance manual provides 9.5 mm hdd/sdd can be used. If you have the Player 7.0 mm it can also be accommodated.

medo994 wrote:... And are there opportunities that I can fit a 12, 5mm disk in the location of main HARD drive or the HARD drive caddy?

Answer: For the housing of the primary hard drive, the cage hdd/ssd mounting is designed to 9.5 mm, so a 7.0 mm or 9.5 mm hdd/ssd will fit. However, a 12.5 mm will not match. The caddy, you see the caddy if it can accommodate a hard drive of 12.5 mm. You may need to check the side of the caddy against the STRANGE to see if it will fit in the odd-NUMBERED slot.

  • Expand the partition of drive C on the IdeaPad Z500

    Hi guys,.

I have a laptop of series of Lenovo IdeaPad Z500, that came with a 60 GB drive C for storage/parition.

I'm running out of space and was trying to extend the partition using the tools of Paritioning but I don't get the option to extend the C drive, after creating an unallocated partition (say 10-15 GB). I try so to make my partition of the drive C was around 70-75 GB after the extension of the C drive.

One thing I noticed that I have a score of 300 MB (approx.) just after the C drive. It does not resemble an OKR partition but another thing that I already have a 25 GB of partition OKR.

I'm suspecting that this 300 MB of partition is coming in my way to extend the partition on the C drive, but I'm just guessing. I could be wrong as well.

So, I'm currently stuck here and can't seem to find a way to extend the drive C partition without messing up the configuration OKR.

In addition, I'd appreciate really if someone could tell me how to do a factory default operating system image backup, so I can't run in case my system fails to start at somepoint in time.

When I open the app OKR, it gives me two options: backup & restore system.

I'm also confused here if the backup of the system would make the backup of the complete (with all applications at this stage) operating system? If this is the case, then how can we restore that image in the event of a boot failure?

    Overall, here are my questions:

#How to extend the C drive without affecting the OKR/partition configuration?

#How to restore the backup system image (saved using "Backup system" option OKR App) when the system does not boot? I have to write to a disc or save it to another partition would also work?

#Is there a way to default value of the image image factory so I can use it to install the new OS, in case I have problems with the operating system in the future?

If necessary, I can share the screenshot of the partition table to give you an exact idea how my drive is partitioned.

I would appreciate really no answer on that.

Looking forward to hear from you.

    Kind regards

    Nick

"Therefore, the procedure you mentioned on Page 7 of the post, I should be able to recovery of default of origin of the USB Image and not the 25 GB partition that has already been created for this purpose." Is my understanding correct? »

Comments: The key USB OKR erase everything on your hard drive and recreate the partitions including the operating system. So, it will be as you receive your unit of Lenovo. So don't forget to make a backup of your personal files.

"In case the OKR on laptop breaks because of the re-parititioning of the C drive, I still have the USB for it?

What actually flash as recovery disk, if for some reason, my OS is corrupted and I am unable to start my OKR has messed up too, I would still be able to load/install operating system to factory image on my laptop? »

Comments: In case that spoil you the partitions, you can restore to factory State (actually you can now decide what size of drive C).

Can you try to make a Win 8.1 installer placed in a USB key with media creation tool? If Yes, go to the bios and change the startup mode for Legacy support, active usb boot. Save and exit. Using the USB startup key, then select repair only.

  • Lenovo laptop drive opens only when I start my computer?

I recently bought a Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 and when I start the machine, either from scratch or awakening of the mode standby by pressing the power on button, the cd player pings open. It's really annoying! Anyone know why? Or how I can get it to stop?

    It's the machine:
    Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 i3 - 3120M 6 GB 1 TB DVDRW 15.6 Win8 "- white (59372917) - dabs.com"

Also, I've only had the machine yesterday - and it happened from the moment when I first turned on. I have no restore points and you don't want to mess around with something like an uninstall. I just want to know how I can activate this parameter (if it is a parameter) OUT, nothing has been installed yet or anything like that. It is so brand new.

Hello. Called Lenovo. Guy was really helpful. Told me how to restore to original. Did not work. Thus recalled. Spoke to him again, and he said that he has never heard speak of him before either, and we sort of get a new one to replace it. It happens that two days ago. So I'm hoping dabs.com will deal with it quickly.
