• Lenovo G500 with SSD and HDD in ODD Bay

  So I have a laptop Lenovo G500 aged for 1 year with a processor i5 to 3230M, now an 8 GB (originally, it was 4 GB) of RAM and a 1 TB HARD drive.   So I removed the HARD drive, put the SSD in its place, removed the STRANGE and put the HARD drive in its place. It was all nice and comforting, but that in some points the HARD drive was not seen by the system as if it was disconnected or something. This happens usually when the laptop was running, if I rebooted everything worked. I remember that in the past, I don't know, maybe in the last 4 months, I used my ODD twice and neither time was it works well.

  So my question is: can it be that my ODD SATA port is faulty, or does this problem occur because this whole switch-and-swap operation is not supported by my laptop? If this is the first I can replace this SATA port?

  Thanks for the reply. I just did an update of the bios, so far everything seems to work well, it still took some time (a few hours) unitill the problem occurred.

  If the problem persists I'll try the fix from microsoft that you sent, but with the 2nd solution, there is the problem that I need to reboot the system to get the bios, but so far after a reboot my laptop has always recognized the HARD drive.

• Lenovo G500, wifi says "restricted."

  -Very well, so yesterday I bought a new laptop Lenovo G500 overnight. It is installed with windows 8. My laptop connects to the network, but it shows a ' limited access ' to my wifi. I have an old laptop (I'm writing this with right now), but also an iPhone that works perfectly fine with wifi, so it has nothing to do with it. I tried to contact Lenovo with this problem and apparently I would have to pay to get any help from them because they believe it's a software issue and not a hardware problem.

  I googled different ways on how to solve this problem and have probably tried almost everything.
  Restart the router - does not work
  Troubleshooting - does not work
  Reset the wireless network card - did not work
  Update drivers - did not work (the network card driver that I use currently is a Broadcom 802.11n)
  I also tried several guests CMD and none have worked, as the reset TCP/IP and the winsock.
  I tried to use my laptop to my boyfriend with his wifi connectivity works completely fine, so I have the feeling that it has something to do with my router/modem?
  -D Link DIR - 605L router
  Modem - model DCM476
  If you need more information please let me know.
  Update: I checked with windows compatibility and my router is compatible with windows 8

• Bluetooth not working not not on Lenovo G500

  Until recently, the connection between my windows phone & laptop was fine. but since today morning, I could connect & listen to the music on my phone via bluetooth. the files could not be transferred. then I uninstalled the software and downloaded the software from the official website & downloaded. but it has not been installed. the pilot still contained the old file. now, there is no bluetooth & I'm unable to install the new downloaded application also.

  This problem might have occurred because of these reasons:
  1 driver Bluetooth obsolete or damaged.
  2 Bluetooth services are not started.
  3. bad Bluetooth settings.

  Try the steps listed here and see if it helps:

  Method 1:
  I suggest you to download and install the latest version of the Bluetooth driver from the computer manufacturer website and check if it helps.

  I have Lenovo g500 core i7 ram6 ati radeon 8750 1 tb hard drive. It was like a month, this laptop hangs at the splash screen. I live in Iran and that the laptop is made in China.

• Lenovo G500 boots only when battery is removed

  I bought a Lenovo G500 in April 2014. A few weeks ago, I noticed that it was getting hot and shut down (screening just empty and put off the power). I removed the cover and cleaned the fan and made sure that the laptop is kept in a well-ventilated.

  I can only start the laptop if I remove the battery first, but after it is cooled for a few hours. Once it is started, I put the battery again. He will work a few hours and then stop again. I have an i4 with Win 8.

  According to the request, we understand that you are facing the issue with the system.

  Try to uninstall the ACPI and controls for the issue, to uninstall go to Device Manager select the dropdown under option batteries. Right-click on the compatible control method battery Microsoft ACPI and select uninstall and reboot the machine and check for the issue.

• Need help! G500 Bluetooth problem

  The bluetooth on my Lenovo g500 (8.1 windows) no longer works. Other devices don't figure it out and the laptop itself not either connect with any device! What should I do?
