Lenovo G570 RAM update

Hello

My Lenovo G570 (model No.: 20079) now has a 2 GB + 1 GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 Rams into its slots. I plan to take off the 1 GB key and replace it with a Corsair 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM for an effective 10 GB RAM.

However, on checking various websites that lists G570, we show that the maximum capacity of RAM is 8GB, if the processor supports up to 16 GB.

I would like to get a clarification on this. Is it possible to upgrade to > 8 GB? If not, why the difference in the maximum capacity of the system and the proc?

  • How to restore Genuine Windows 7 OEM license on my Lenovo G570?

I use a laptop Lenovo G570, which was preinstalled with Windows 7 Home Basic Edition.

Last week one of my friends told me to enter "windows anytime upgrade", a key after entering the key my Windows upgrade install to Windows 7 Ultimate and I was asked to activate windows. The key on the bottom of my laptop does not work after that.

He then entered another key for activate windows, which I'm sure is not authentic and when I search this key on the web I can find clearly multiple results corresponding to this key.

The telephone activation process went smoothly with this non-genuine key and to my surprise Windows online validation shows as my Windows genuine, my machine is also fully updated

I want to return to my home based version by using the key that came with my machine.

Your only option is to do a system restore. This means that you will have to reinstall applications and hardware drivers.

New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

  • Re: 1 GB of RAM / update BIOS for Satellite 1110

    Hello

I ordered 2 x 512 MB of RAM at CompuRAM. According to their information 1 GB is possible for this model. According to the user manual only 512 MB is possible. As normally CompuRAM information is right (maybe necessary BIOS update), I tried.

But it does not work. I can only use 1 x 512 MB.

Does anyone have information on RAM update for Toshiba Satellite 1110 (model PS111E-003DN-GR/S1110-Z16)?
    Could help update the BIOS?
How to find the update of the BIOS in the Toshiba homepage (model 1110 does not exist)?

    For any help thanks!

    Thomas

    Hello

  • "User define setting of the button" on Lenovo G570

    Hello

I have a problem with my laptop Lenovo G570 (running Windows 7), in which case every so often a small icon (showing a green arrow pointing down) appears next to the usual icons for Skype, Bluetooth devices and so on. When this icon is present the graph to change the brightness and volume simultaneously will change, a horizontal black bar to that is in blue and light green.

Hovering over the icon indicates that it is a "user set Setting button, and if I right click it allows me to browse a pogram 'open' with her, even if I'm still confused to its functionality.

Is this a virus? I've already scanned with Malwarebytes, which does not pick up whatever it is and to this day a Super AntiSpyware scan does not do anything either. Usually I can run a system restore to my last saved system restore point in order to remove the icon, but it would be good to know for sure if I can't ignore the icon (and the changes to the user interface) or if there is a way to permanently solve the problem.

    Thank you

It is part of Lenovo bloatware and I fear that you will need to contact them for the solution.  I always remove their software every time I receive one.

    Thank you

Go with the first link. His brand lenovo RAM. When you buy RAM, you want to get the last type (i.e. the norm these days), which I think is DDR3 right now. DDR3 is simply the interface type. In addition, you must consider which will support your motherboard, and you find this out by looking at the specs of your motherboard. It will tell you all the ports and what type of everything what you can fit there.

The maximum amount of RAM has to do with your operating system (OS). The limits of each version of Windows, you can wikipedia. In fact, wikipedia EVERYTHING and you will learn.

The reason why I told you to buy the first RAM in the link is because you want all your RAM are the same to be more effective. I don't really know the details, but just to get the same RAM (brand, latency, type, no matter). As a casual PC user, you don't really need to worry about what anyone else. Just make sure the RAM on the motherboard of the computer desk or in your laptop and if you buy more RAM, try to be the same. Although it is not that serious.

BTW, I bought RAM myself for my 220 t make my Tablet have 8 GB, (which is the maximum that can support this thing) and it works like a charm.

I hope this helps. Building, fixing, modding and the upgrade of PC is all about trial and error. And once again, wikipedia everything. If you have a problem with a PC, try it on google and go on forums because people generally have the same problems. That's how you learn.

    Peace

  • Lenovo B590: RAM upgrade is not detected

    Hi all

Yesterday, I bought a chip of PC3-12800 CL11 204 pins SODIMM RAM Kingston 4 GB of my local store of hardware because I wanted to update my Lenovo B590 memory, which - by default - has 4 GB of DDR3 RAM installed. I have double checked if memory was compatible with my B590 calling Lenovo support and searching the Web (which gives this message, for example). The two sources confirmed the upgrade should not be a problem if I did not exceed the limit of 8GB. However, after that I had plugged the RAM, I found that it was not recognized by my OS (Windows) and my BIOS. They are always saying that I only have the factory installed 4096MB.
How can I make my system use this RAM upgrade? Please help, you have my gratitude!

Note: when I determine which RAM to buy, I've checked also which type of memory was already installed in my B590 by the manufacturer. I unscrewed my notebook and found a chip, brand Hynix memory, I assumed it was a single 4GB chip. However, the search results for of his series on the web show it is in fact a DDR3 SDRAM 2 GB chip. I checked my hardware, but could not see any other chip (even though I'm 100% sure that my system has 4 GB of RAM installed by the manufacturer). If this has nothing to do with the above? Thanks again!

RESOLVED: The RAM chip is not inserted properly in the additional location. All works fine now.

  • The upgrade of my lenovo g570 model 4334

Hi I'm new to computers, but if I can I'd like to update as my graphics card, CPU, ram.
It would be nice if you can help me by providing what is compatible and what is not or what I can get...
    Current specifications are:
    -I3 - 2350M 2.30 ghz CPU
    -Intel hd 3000 graphics card
    -4 GB of ram (1 x)

    Nice day.

Please take a look at the manual of your equipment:

    https://download.Lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/Lenovo%20G470G475G570G575%20Hardware%20Mainenance%2...

-Page 40 shows that you have 2 DIMM slots. Not sure if your machine supports 8GB modules, but you should be able to add 4 additional GB. On pages 73 and 74 of the parts list, item #11 is the DIMM and could offer a glimpse of the form that you need.

-Page 44 shows that you have a processor half bridge vs. welded as in many machines today. On page 73, you will see the processors (point #6) that is configured in the machine. It looks like you can go as high as the i7 - 2620M. Others may work as well, but I can't offer more advice on that.

-As well as graphics, you are limited to built-in HD3000 that is incorporated into the Sandy Bridge processors.

    Does that help?

    Kind regards.

  • Envy 15-j104el: updated NETWORK WiFi card and RAM update

    Goodmorning to everyone

I write this post to ask for information on the possibility to do an upgrade of hardware on my HP Envy 15-j104elsystem.

    That's what I would do:

-Replace the network card (NIC) to a wireless better and possibly with a compatible AC NIC.

-Update to 16 GB of ram, put benches with CL9 SODIMM

The questions that I want to bring to your attention are:

-There is a 'white list' for the wifi card on my BIOS (actually F66)?
(consultation with the service manual there are little NIC OEM selled, y at - it ONLY compatible?)

-Put the sticks of ram CL9 (instead of CL11 currently OEM mounted), I can inprove the overall performance?

    I want to install are:

    -Intel Wireless-AC 7260 more Bluethoot HMC 4.0

    -Kingston HyperX Impact DDR3L 16 GB (2x8gb) SODIMM 1600 Mhz CL9 (Kit)

According to your experiences, is it compatible? I can buy them without any problem?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me. Thanks for your suggestions

In particular, I take this opportunity to greet and also need the help of my friend @visruth ;)

    1. no whitelist. Your laptop was conducted after HP stopped using a white list so that you can install any card with the right form factor and the number of antennas. The Intel 7260 card should work.

    2. you can install the CL9 memory but it will not do anything all run faster. The motherboard is made to operate at the speed of the OEM memory so the Kingston Hyper-X will work, but the specifications of it in operation will be the same as memory OEM.
