  • Lenovo Ideapad 305 does not recognize SD card

I inserted a Kingston 32 GB SD card and initially the system recognized and said that he was downloading software. It finally stopped, but the map did not show under this PC. I deleted and he came again, this time, nothing. I followed a similar link on this community and downloaded the driver software, he says he loaded and installed but no effect. The driver does not yet appear in the control panel drivers section.

    Ignore, it's the faulty card.

  • Lenovo Ideapad U310 speaker problem

    Hi all

My U310 of Lenovo Ideapad has had problems of speaker,

The headphones work correctly, but the built-in speakers that are Awefully located inbetween as the hinge and the base of the screen do not work.

I first thought it was a problem with the headphone jack that could have cut the circuit internal speaker because of the incorrect removal of the headphone jack, but it is not true because I've noticed that its a problem with the angle I keep tilt of the screen.

On the passage of the screen at any angle above 90 or 100 degrees, the speakers cut in and are activated once its below 80 degrees.

I'm a little worried about the words on it?

    Kind regards

    raisedadead.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE!

    Thank you Alaa,

The problem is now solved, mainly the mobile hinge was obstruction in fact the thread that connects the speakers, according to the service technician. Need to replace the wiring had been damaged by the hinge. A manufacturing problem small on the wire does not correctly connected to the hinge. Thank you

  • Lenovo Ideapad 100: Removing the battery

Hello, I have problems with my removing the battery. As my title says, I have a Lenovo ideapad 100, and I'm supposed to send it off for repairs. For my problem, I need to take out the battery because it is not part of the problem; However, I can't get out. I've read here to take off the base, but in trying to do this, it seems he breaks the internal clamps keep attached. I don't want to keep these break just to pay for them to be repaired afterwards. Is there an easier way to take this base off?

Those who may be generic instructions. In the case of your machine, you can contact the Service to confirm, but my feeling is that it does not apply to batteries regarded as cards.

    Kind regards.

  • Lenovo IdeaPad Y400 evolution Options

    Hello

I plan to buy a Lenovo IdeaPad Y400 in the coming days.

The shop I bought it from has the following characteristics:

    i7-3630QM

    -Windows 8

    -8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM

-1 TB SATA HDD (5400 RPM)

    Modular DVD drive

    -NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 2 GB GDDR5

I noticed that the HARD drive is certainly going to be too slow for me, and I therefore intend to improve, among other things.

I will be performing the following improvements:

    -Windows 8 Pro

    -16 GB of RAM (DDR3 1600 MHz CL11 Crucial 8 GB x 2)

    -M4 CRUCIAL 128 GB MSATA

-WD 2.5 "SATA 7200 RPM 16 MB black 750 GB

My upgrade plan works with the Y400?

    Thank you.

    Hello
The upgrade of the operating system will not be a problem. However, this could ruin a key recovery.
The specification of the ram is the same that mentions critical, then ram won't be a problem either
The msata must fit and hard drive would also not much of a problem,

  • Lenovo Ideapad y510p - memory upgrade

So since Christmas is coming, I thought it would be cool to upgrade my 8 GB RAm 16 GB my question is: what type of card Gerard, I need my lenovo ideapad y510p? and what I have to change my old memory card aswell if im buying a new?

Also is it easy to change the RAM cards?

The worst thing that can happen is that memory does not work with full 1866MTs, but it will certainly work.

The first is a 2.5 "drive, so you should replace your hard drive with it. The other works, but not as a cache. If you do not want to buy a form mSATA SSD, it is best to install the top OS. Kingston is not the best brand when it comes of SSD. Discover Crucial, Samsung, Plextor. It would be a good idea to read some current reviews and comparisons of the SSD. always keep the highest priority on reliability.

I bought a Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBD a few days ago, and after a series of problems that I managed to fix, I woke up this morning to find that my keyboard and the touchpad do not work. Last night (about 9 hours ago) it was working fine. Anyone has an idea how can I fix?

Problem solved. It was because of the abdriver for keyboard and mouse I have installed from the official website of lenovo, I don't know how or why, but when I uninstalled it, it started working again.

I'm having trouble with a new lenovo ideapad u510. I try to install Fedora 19, using the Fedora Live USB image 19 xfce spin, the player starts correctly, but when you select the option to boot Fedora 19 Live, I get a screen that is gray with a cursor at the top left, then two error messages that look almost idential to other flash each, the Fedora logo starts to load , and then the screen turns white.

The part of the error message I got was '... ". managed to activate the AA (?) »

I tried to re - turn on the monitor by using the function key F9 and I tried to boot from DVD with the same result. Once the screen turns off, it remains this way until I force the machine to stop. Once I forced the closure, the computer, to turn her on, past on the screen empty again without even loading the lenovo BIOS screen. Even the "novo" button does not options for me.

My UEFI is set to Legacy / Legacy first, although the EFI setting is always Windows 8, with no other options. I looked through my settings on each tab of the BIOS and I can't find anything further to disable secure boot.

  • Lenovo Ideapad Y500A does support SLI?

I really want to understand if this model supports SLI? I mean not integrated double 2x2gb but with different optical drive. I mean 2 GB PC and 2 GB with optical drive. I'll connect and tell me if its support SLI. Thank you!!!

    http://www.Varle.lt/nesiojami-Kompiuteriai/nesiojami-Kompiuteriai/Lenovo-IdeaPad-y500a-I7-3630qm-4GB...

It gives... Memory card: 2x2gb GDDR5, dual NVIDIA GeForce GT 650 M graphics

The Y500 comes with a second 650 M in the optical drive. This means a few things

    1. you will not have a DVD/CD player to use on the laptop (you can always buy an external)

    2. your laptop graphics and power games will be about 1.5 x as having 1 graphics card

    3. you will have 4 GB memory graphics, 2 GB of the here already to 650 m and 2 GB of 650 m, into the ultrabay slot

  • Lenovo ideapad y510p boot on CD/DVD

    Hello

Just had the laptop y510p and I am trying to install Ubuntu, so I have this DVD bootable and I wanted to try out Ubuntu before you install as usual, but I can't get the laptop to bot on dvd. On the start menu options, there are only EFI and a kind of network options but not dvd.

I tried following the instructions here, but regardless of how many times I press F1 during boot, I can't start menu and windows starts directly:

    http://support.Lenovo.com/en_CY/downloads/detail.page?docid=HT036814

Is it not possible to boot on dvd. The dvd is supposedly compatible with EFI and secure boot ubuntu 13.10.

I don't understand why there is no option to rearrange devices to boot on my old PC.

I managed to get the BIOS configuration by pressing the restart and Maj and then selecting settings UEFI firmware and I chance to the configurations of the bios, but still no way to find the option to start on a dvd.

    Any advice? Thank you

I managed to install ubuntu, the problem is that my cd is defective, here's a blog where I wrote about the steps

    in the case, someone must:

    http://vaxapp.WordPress.com/2014/02/09/install-Ubuntu-12-04-3-on-a-Lenovo-IdeaPad-y510p/

I found a lot of answers here:

    http://AskUbuntu.com/questions/221835/installing-Ubuntu-on-a-pre-installed-Windows-8-64-bit-system-u...

Although for Windows 7 the problem is perhaps that he does not support UEFI and or secure boot?

In windows 8 type ctr + C then the power button, then press Caps + restart and then chose the option help out and something UEFI and you will restart in the bios, then you can change the settings to disable secure boot and/or inherited instead of the UEFI boot.

When you press F12 is the start menu, but you won't see that entries that are UEFI-compatible (if you are using the UEFI) either CD or USB
