I have an IdeaPad P500 Touch. A few weeks ago, I turned on some kind of power management and now my battery does not charge from 60 percent. No idea how I can disable this option? I wish I had a full battery when I use my laptop abroad.

  • I have a Lenovo IdeaPad P500 running Windows 8, and my battery is 0% charged. When I plug it in, it says "plugged and not charging."

Help, please! When I use my computer, it must be connected as the battery stays on 0% fees. When I plug it, I pass my mouse over the icon in the taskbar that shows me the battery power, it is said "plugged and no charging current" and displays a battery that has 0% fees. When I unplug the computer, it turns off INSTANTLY, and I need to plug in again to use it. Before that, I lived lack of extreme battery life, and it would last from 5 minutes to 30 seconds. I ordered a new battery, but it does not come for a few days, and I want to be able to bring my laptop with me.

I have a same problem too. My battery shows 18% charged all the time. Even when it is plugged.

And as soon as I take the plug it shuts. My battery info shows like that.

What should I do? My laptop is only 2 months old. I have not even used for more than 6 hours total.

    Hi mukeshbhakta

There is something wrong with the circuit load or battery.

The full last Charge can be superior to the nominal capacity?

I would recommend that you check with Lenovo to find how to troubleshoot the charging circuit.

  • Lenovo IdeaPad Z580 - delay issue - help

    Hello

I have a problem with my Lenovi Ideapad Z580. Below you can see the hardware specifications.

My problem is that this laptop is trolling (freezing) whenever I run movies, listen to music, youtube, basically while doing anything.

It happens randomly, lasts only for a few moments (like a sound of frying). I do not have to restart the computer, but it's very annoying and concerning, in particular because that machine is only a few months old and I would say, very powerful.

Just to give you some information regarding what I tried so far:

-J' checked the processes in the task each time that takes place behind Manager > I have not noticed any problem. I mean, use of CPU, disk use etc. are all aged 30-40-50% (if not less)

-Check if the laptop is overheating - 100% not the case, laptop is cold temperature. I had a similar problem on my old Acer that was overheating, so I would like to know if this is the problem

-J' ran virus scan-let me say that this computer came installed with security McAffee, I turned off and installed Avast (free), I read that McAffee can cause the problem of wireless connection (that I had also...)

    -Updated Nvidia card drivers

Any help, advice would be appreciated, I'm getting more and more concerned about this issue.

    Hello

I'm still not completely sure, but it seems that my problem can be solved. I keep will monitor the situation and meet again in the coming days.

I read everything I found on this topic (late) and found some additional advice on what could be done and I tried all the:

-Downloaded video drivers (Nvidia and Intel) support from Lenovo (the last time I think that I've updated only Nvidia)

-Plan of energy change / mode, from balanced to High Performance

-Option used to remove dust from the fan (fron Lenovo Energy Management)

    -Computer reloaded

After the steps above, I looked at a few hours of videos and I have not experienced any slow response, I just hope that it will stick.

As I said, I will come back in a few days with your comments.

  • Lenovo Ideapad U310 - battery problems

So I looked everywhere for an answer to this and had no luck. I am a student and use my U310 to study; usually, for an extended period. My concern is with the battery and recharge. Is it bad to leave it plugged 100% while I use it for several hours to study? I want to make sure I have properly dealing with this ultrabook and destroy the life of the battery. If I could take out easily, I would. But on this device casing makes it quite difficult to do on a semi-regular basis.

So basically what I want to know: is it better to leave it plugged in for several hours (5-7 hours) to 100% of load so I use it for study, or is it better to unplug once hits 100% and reconnect in necessary?
It is better to do than the other, or is a more harmful than the other? I would appreciate some clarification really, thank you!

  • Lenovo Ideapad 100: Removing the battery

Hello, I have problems with my removing the battery. As my title says, I have a Lenovo ideapad 100, and I'm supposed to send it off for repairs. For my problem, I need to take out the battery because it is not part of the problem; However, I can't get out. I've read here to take off the base, but in trying to do this, it seems he breaks the internal clamps keep attached. I don't want to keep these break just to pay for them to be repaired afterwards. Is there an easier way to take this base off?

Those who may be generic instructions. In the case of your machine, you can contact the Service to confirm, but my feeling is that it does not apply to batteries regarded as cards.

    Kind regards.

    Hi Mitesh,

Try to clear the phone to 0 and then keep it off. Then plug the AC to load 100 and start the phone. Lets see if this helps to calibrate the battery. If the problem persists then try to run a factory reset. Check also if there is no OTA update.

  • IdeaPad P500 settles not (none) Windows 7 drivers

    Hello

I just updated my ideapad p500 to an SSD and installed windows 7. I got the installation to work, from bios to legacy and can boot into windows, but I can't install the drivers. I am trying to install all the drivers are direct on the Lenovo site listed under Windows 7 for the P500.

I can't install the drivers, except maybe the ones chipset.

When I run a pilot, he often proclaims "the following file is already on your computer" even if this is a new installation, and when I navigate to the location it says (C:\Drivers) will not be that whatever it be listed until I click on it.

Ethernet runes that via claims then 'FichierFichier failed '. Then new Version of the unknown driver in a second box that opens.

When I try to install the mouse driver (touchpad), I get a message saying "access denied" and that it does not support this touchpad.

I also have the same as most of the other video card driver (minimum brightness all the time, can not change it) issue except that I don't have a previous version of the driver to return to. Where can I get a working version?

Many riders will get a windows message saying "could not have installed correctly", but a new attempt does not work. I went to Device Manager and choose a specific folder for the driver (even just put a .exe in a single folder), but the device manager says that it cannot find the drivers.

Now I'm hung up on a black background with a white logo of Lenovo starting for 5 minutes + (I have an SSD...). I would try a different HARD drive, but the process of switching them is miserable (remove the keyboard, optical drive and cover back together (which must be pried off) to swap a HARD drive?) Come on.

How can I solve this problem? The computer worked fine with Windows8, but I want to run windows 7 on my SSD instead. There are drivers available, but none of them does not seem to work and I get the message "the following file is already on your computer" during the first installation. It has persisted through 2 format + fresh installs.

I would be happy to provide you with any additional information.

I used 7zip to unzip the driver files and everything worked. He saw in a post here, finally got my landline number.

  • Lenovo ideapad y450 won't start

Hi, my lenovo ideapad y450 refuses to start. Initially the laptop work not at all. He was wrong. So my father opened and noticed that a small cable inside that connects to the power supply cable has been disconnected. He has set. We leave the laptop plugged in all night so it can charge the battery which was dead because he was not in charge. In the morning, we noticed that the battery light indicates fully charged ita. But when we try to open the laptop with the power button, nothing happens. My father, the laptop opens again, but can't find anything wrong. After this inspection, the laptop still refuses to open.
    What can be the problem?

    Thank you neokenchi,

The FFC connectors were not yet connected. Reconnect all and it works now!

  • New Lenovo Ideapad Z710 friend refuses to install the touchpad driver.

A few weeks ago my friend bought new a laptop Lenovo Ideapad Z710 pre-installed with Win8. I "upgraded" to Windows 7 for him, as none of us can handle the new OS. Usually, I have no trouble to reinstall the drivers after installing a new OS, but for some reason that its touchpad driver does NOT install.

I use the official driver for his computer, apparently is a synaptics driver and it says it should work completely fine with Windows 7, but when I try to run the installation, I get the error "Synaptics Device Not Found!"

There are a few issues that I believe are related to the driver not being installed that can tell you something. When he closes the lid of the laptop and open it again, the mouse jumps over the screen constantly, and he can't use the computer until it restarts. In addition, he cannot turn his touchpad, which I suppose is a function that comes with the driver.

Any help or contribution is greatly appreciated, if you need more information, do not hesitate to ask.

    Thanks again,
    -Tyler

Are you sure the touchpad isn't a Synaptics touchpad ElanTech? If ElanTech, try to uninstall the currently installed driver. Then install the driver from the website. During the installation of the driver not to put a check mark in the box that says driver Synaptics install now.

  • IdeaPad S205 battery charge no problem

Hello, I have a Lenovo IdeaPad S205 and met with some difficulties. The charger has recently stopped working and I bought a replacement - the original charger has a 20V power, whereas the replacement 19V power. However, I don't think it would make a difference. That being said, when I plugged in the charger, it says "plugged in, not load." I took the battery and put it again, in as I had a similar problem before, and making it fixed. The system remained on while the battery was out, and I noticed the battery percentage is not down while this replacement is plugged. In addition, the original now seems to do the same thing - "plugged in, not load." Can anyone offer any assistance?

    Hi Ben_R,

It's weird. Can try you to:

1 turn on the computer with just the AC adapter and loading Windows to the top, slide the battery and observe.

    2. turn off the machine with the inserted battery. When the machine is turned off, plug the AC adapter and see if the battery is charged.

My Lenovo Ideapad S510 guard remove WIFI connections. When he falls, I have to unplug the router WIFI off and turn it on to get connectivity. Help appreciated - thanks

    Hello

    Please contact the Microsoft community.

I understand that your Lenovo idea S510 controller keeps on WIFI connections a fall during the use of the Internet.

I recommend you to check with the router manufacturer support you mentioned that issue gets fixed when you unplug the router.

You may encounter network or problems of Internet in Windows for several reasons. Some common problems that can cause these problems are:

    • Corrupt or incompatible drivers.

    • Network connection settings.

    • Hardware or software problems.

    • There is interference with other devices.

    • Your router and your PC network card can not work together.

I suggest you follow the below troubleshooting methods and check if it solves the problem.

Method 1: Run the network adapter Troubleshooter

If you cannot connect to a network, it could be a problem with your network adapter, the piece of hardware that allows your PC to connect to a network.

First of all, try to use the network adapter troubleshooting utility to automatically find and fix some problems. This troubleshooting will be disable and re-enable the adapter and try a few other common repairs. Here's how:

    1. open the Control Panel by right-clicking on the Start button.

2 in the search box, type Troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting.

3 click network and Internet, run the utility network adapter troubleshooting, and follow the instructions

    on your screen and check.

Method 2: Uninstall the network adapter driver and restart

Try to uninstall the network adapter driver, and then restart your computer and have Windows automatically installs the latest driver. Here's how:

    1. right-click on Start, select Device Manager and navigate to the network cards > network adapter

    name.

2 right click (or press and hold) the network card, and then select Uninstall > remove the driver

software for this device box > OK to confirm that you want to uninstall.

3 after uninstalling the driver, click on the Start button > power > restart.

After restarting your PC, Windows will automatically search for and install the network adapter driver. Check to see if this solves your connection problem.

If she does not then install download / install the driver from the websites of the manufacturers of Lenovo.
